I thought Peters handled today well - optimistic poster here

DPJ was in bounds - should have had 14 points in the first half, on the road at Camp Randall

Fumble due to injured wrist - his only turnover of the year

this despite the OL not being where it needs to be

Next year we have red-shirt sophomore Peters and red-shirt freshman McCaffrey

we have transition to Harbaugh recruited QB's and I like our future

You know, I might be overreacting a little bit, but it seemed like the mood of the team change - and not for the better - when Peters was knocked out of the game. I really feel like he energizes that offense in a way that clearly nobody else seems to be able to do. When O'Korn came in, it seemed like we were back to the struggles of earlier in the season.

That's because they know they have zero chance with okorn. Zeroooooooooo. If he is the starter next week please just forfeit because it will be ugly. This team is talented, but young. Wisconsin exploited players who should have not been covering. Don't understand taking a touchdown away when his left foot hit first and it was obvious just by how his body shifted.  Will never understand how replay still gets it wrong. Okorn offers us zero chance next week. Hope peters is ok, but I doubt he plays. Season over. Maybe we should start blocking someone.

It feels like the “breaks” always seem to go against us. Like if we have some bad losses next year people will say “we are still pretty young and the OL is inexperienced” and on and on it will go. I did think we looked like the better team with Peters in though for sure. It’s just sad knowing we have Harbaugh but we keep getting dong punched

The breaks have gone against us. With young teams you need to at least break even with the lucky plays or bounces. Moreover, young teams can't afford to have injuries. Older teams, with depth, are less susceptible to needing breaks and can handle some more injuries. But when you are starting a bunch of first and second year guys you need breaks. This team was young and had the breaks go against them. Such as life.

Peters should eventually be pretty good, but changes need to be made to the offensive staff.  There is no excuse to have a unit this terrible in year 3, especially given how the defense is playing after losing 9 starters.

The defense has not had many injuries. I think hill is the first starter to miss a whole game. Whereas, the offense has been hit pretty hard. Starting wr and qb have been out most the year. Perry and Crawford have missed games. Issac missed several games, and higdon was on one leg this game. People often forget about Eubanks, who was the number one guy in packages using a flex te, and has been out for weeks. Big Mike has been out for a few games and then Peters goes down. Despite all this, the offense was moving the ball on Wisconsin pretty well until Peters went down. Moreover, the offense has made strides and clear improvements. Not sure how much more we could expect from the offensive staff.

Ok I am still quite emotional but I need to vent.

If I am the OL coach, I am making these 5 linemen run suicides till the nightime. This is the second time this group has sent our QB to the hospital. Cant hold the block for a 5 step drop? fine. Cannot block against elite DE's? fair enough. Misses an assignment that leads to your QB being concussed? Time to show some ownership and man up.

the o-line should be ashamed of themselves today.  Peters played his ass off and these guys still cannot get their pass blocking right in the 11th game of the season.

Jerry Hanlon coached tackles and tight ends while Paul Schudel coached guards and centers.  I don't think having two is the issue. Not having two good ones is the problem. Hanlon also called the plays.

It looked like Kugler was responsible for the hit on Peters that caused the injury. It was a looping twist that he saw late and dud not get much on the lb. However, many of the hits were on the backs and are being blamed on the line. The line actually had their best pass blocking game of the year. Wisconsin is an elite defense with a great DC. Expecting the line to give up no hits on the qb us rediculous and insulting to the caliber of defense Wisconsin is.

was on Kugler too.  Seemed like he was fooled by the stunt, and doubled teamed a guy with Bredson, instead of blocking the stunting free guy.

People complain about coaching (Drevno).

Maybe.  But I have to wonder if it is just that Kugler has a ceiling.

Hard to know without inside info.  But is it credible that Drevno has never seen as stunt and has no idea how to coach guys on dealing with stunts?  Maybe.

I think you’re thinking of another sack, the one which also drew a chop block penalty. That was on Kugler/RUiz evenly. If I recall correctly (not a given, I’m drunk) the one that got Peters injured was a free rusher off the right end. Running back ran right past him into the flat. Edit: Rewatched. I’m wrong. The play I’m talking about did not get the QB injured, it was just another in the long list of hits our QBs have taken.

Knuckle heads above trying to sell the whole 'better than the beginning of the year bullshit'. This offensive line has been missing the same assignments since last year. How quickly we forget Kalis missing guys. Crazy part is that 2 of the 3 guys are now playing in the NFL. That tells me something is wrong with the offensive line coaching at Michigan.

Peters looked great, considering the pressure he was under. Unfortunately, him leaving on a cart basically killed any meaning for this season (other than paying respect for our poor damn seniors). It would've been great if he could get the experience of Wisconsin and OSU games out of the way before next year. Even if he lost both games, at least he could get those big game nerves out of the way before next season.

I posted this in a different thread but it might be more appropriate here"

Assuming Peters doesn't play next week, I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on whether or not hes done enough this year to be the leader to start at QB in 2018 or is DMac going to have a legitimate shot to unseat him?

especially last year's version of Speight. Bottom line no matter how much we want to see it, neither one has really show they have NFL caliber talent that can take this offense to higher levels. Nothing where you're left saying "wow" this guy has special talent and until we see that I think job is still wide open.

Who gives a shit man win games stahp sugar coating it Harbaugh is overrated get it through ur heads at best he is 4th best in the big ten we stink haven’t beaten anyone all season and we WILL NOT BEAT OSU next week stop with the delusions we have no clue how this team will be next year so stahp dreaming and address the issue

I feel ya on this one. I am not questioning Harbaugh, because this team does have so much youth. However, people on this board would rather post a snarky comment than actually have a legitimate comment about what we just watched. Let's be honest, Michigan is a slightly above average team right now. This is not to say the can't or won't improve, it just means they are not very good and are certainly not close to elite.
