I hate Ohio State:

- because my friend's dad was in their band and he's a huge asshole. 

 

I'm headed to the Shoe for the first time on Saturday. I hope you are too.

times this. good luck. I said this before as warning to others - but I will say it again. keep your head on a swivel. I went down to Toledo vs OSU in late 90's - before Toledo was any good. Fans were super abusive and throwing beer or what LOOKED like beer on Toledo fans, hurling insults, and I saw more than one argument almost come to blows. and that was for TOLEDO fergodsakes. stay safe, my friend.

I pick up my kids Thanksgiving weekend in Hocking Hills, Ohio (Southeast of Columbus).

We stop every year at the Krispy Kreme in Polaris.

Of course, I wear my UM gear.

Every year, I get shit-talked and made fun of in the store.

In Krispy Kreme.

Way off-campus.

So, I have my doubts about how much better it has gotten - but I digress.

If you read the earlier comment about the Toledo game - THAT is why I won't go down there to a game.

I was only highlighting how going down there at ALL brings out the worst in people.  So if people at Krispy Kreme are assholes - how much better would fans in the stadium be after drinking their asses off all morning?

In the 90s Toledo was pretty damn good. 1990 9-2, 1992 8-3, 1995 11-0-1, 1996 7-4, 1997 9-3. Those were all Saban and Pinkel teams and had one losing season

105 net yards rushing against Sparty, only six yards less than Mike Weber. Many of Barrett's yards came on designed QB runs straight up the middle. Sparty seemed unable to play off blocks and corral him. 

Don Brown will spend extra time this week trying to figure out how limit Barrett's rushes. M should handle Barrett through the air, but controlling him on the ground will be the key.

Have no desire.
Drive through OH on way home to West Michigan.
And that's plenty for me.
Hope your experience is pleasant as I've heard tOSU fans are NOT like Meeeeccchigggannn fans in The Big House!

Because it's in the state of Ohio. Conversely, I hate Ohio because of OSU. It's the chicken-egg scenario of Ohio hate. Also, the whole "THE" thing they do. Possibly the dumbest thing that a university does to be "unique".

Ohio State so much that I taught our dog to relieve himself when he hears the name "Buckeye." Good luck down there. Some of their fans can get really unhinged.

I absolutely fucking hate Ohio state.

I hate their fan base. I hate their players. I hate the entire fucking state of Ohio. I literally can't pretend to like somebody who is an Ohio state fan. It's impossible not to remind them that Ohio is the worst state in the union and that the only thing Ohio is good for is driving through it, and to be honest, it fucking sucks driving through that miserable state anyway.

Go ahead and neg me and call me a bad fan and tell me it's not the players' faults they play for that flaming piece of shit of a football team but I don't care because its hate week and IM HATEFUL GODDAMMIT

I hate their shitty fans. I hate that dude who is all painted up and wearing Buckeye nuts around his neck on every televised Ohio State game. The hate grew just last weekend as I was sitting in a bar here in DC watching the Michigan Iowa game, and five Ohio State fans were sitting about 20 feet away staring me down, and laughing any time something didn't go our way. They were being complete and utter assholes about the whole thing and making shitbag comments through the whole game. I hope UM curbstomps them. Can't wait to watch it.
