I went to Columbus for a concert in late October last year while wearing Michigan gear, and most of what I encountered was "Fuck you," "You're a faggot," and "I hope you get Herpes." "Thanks for the hospitality!" was my response. FWIW, I also had a few poeople say "Go Blue!"
I think controlling the tempo will be HUGE for The Game. If we can keep possession for extended periods of time, I think our chances are good. The longer the OSU defense is on the field, the better. I'm confident our defense will be able to play pretty well, but it'll be a physically demanding game. They'll need to be able to get off the field quickly if they want to keep pace with OSU's offense. I think our O-Line and RBs will be crucial. OSU's run defense isn't spectacular, and capitalizing on that weakness should be of utmost importance, especially given the QB situation.
Though no justification is necessary, I can imagine Harbaugh justifying not playing Friday games by saying they into preparation time and don't put the team at a competitve advantage. Granted, they would cut into opponents' time as well, but I don't think Harbaugh cares about that part
Couldn't agree more. Their entire existence revolves around comparisons of us and them. They'd rather see us fail than see themselves succeed. The two aren't necessarily mutally exclusive, but their behavior has indicated that, if forced to choose, they'd choose to watch us fail.
Last year, when the Maize Rage travelled to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Basketball tournament, some 70 year old Spartan with a walker started harassing us. He told us our team was a disgrace to the Big Ten, that the real basketball teams wouldn't play till later, and he kept making obscene remarks about how shitty we as a fanbase were. Given that he was old and could barely walk, we elected not to retaliate. We were shocked as well, considering the only thing that provoked his comments was merely our existence.
I know some of the dining halls have undergone changes since Burke was a student here, and those ones (specifically South Quad) are great now. If I'm not mistaken, he was still a student after the East Quad renovations were finished. I eat there pretty regularly and I have nothing to complain about with regards to the quality or selection of food. I also see athletes, mostly basketball players, eat there. They never seem to have a problem with it.
Another theory, Burke has some kind of beef with Beilein right now. He did mention that it's the coach's responsibility to make sure players are well fed. To place responsibility on the coach specifically seems a little bizzarre to me. I wouldn't be shocked if a story broke that he and Beilein aren't on good terms.
Currently tuned in to BTN and the scheduled program was "Inside Michigan State Training Camp," but some B1G Treasure Hunters thing is currently airing.
The majority of the best German players stayed with their clubs as well. A good chunk of the players on the German Olympics team aren't even reserves on the World Cup squad.
Yes, they're loaded with talent. Yes they will be very good. I don't think anyone will dispute that. But they won't be the best, especially in terms of most likely to win the National Championship. Disregarding all other teams' odds listed above, I think it's already pretty crazy to give OSU 6-1 odds. Throw in the odds of other teams listed, and that 6-1 makes even less sense, in my opinion. Maybe I'm biased, but I think I'm also pretty reasonable.
Kentucky pretty much openly cheats so any complaints they can make are invalidated. When you cheat you get no sympathy. UNC also had some legit violations, again invalidating any complaints they had.

Very true. While athletes at schools like OSU "ain't [go there] to play school," athletes at Michigan actually want to "play school."

Jim Harbaugh is the ultimate troll and the king of power moves

Building on that, I think it's safe to say Michigan is more like a blender than just a hot knife to Sparty's butter.
I think he was trying to be dramatic or entertaining. I found it to be neither. In fact, I found it inorganic and forced, more than anything.
I won't care about the heisman until we beat OSU and MSU
I warned you... sorta
I hear he's had mild success with the volleyball program over in East Lansing
I believe these are the chips he's referring to:
Also, several "Little Brother" references
Apparently we lead the series with a record of 103-0-5

Rutgers was really the bye week. At least our starters will be challenged by the scout team this week.
Is too much of a stretch to consider an INT return on a 2 pt conversion for 2 more points?
aggression and an enthusiasm unknown to mankind are a great combination
"I just try to bring them down as violently as I can."
Love it!
Never Forget.
614 for DirecTV. I know I don't have the most expensive package but I have some form of a sports package.
Might as well add "or commando," too.
I've got it on BTN right now lol
ITS HERE

According to my TV Guide, at 2:30 EST, ESPN will be showing 2016 US Open Tennis.

Why did the boy drop his ice cream?
...
He was hit by a bus.
There's a time and a place for that joke, and this was neither the time nor the place.
...
A brick.

The chicken finger basket is a MUST. Pretty sure it's the most popular dish in the student section
Obviously, you're not a golfer!

Fair enough. That's a really intimidating starting five, too

1. OSU has only one good win all season, and a LOT of bad home losses
2. Winning on the road at Nebraska and NC State, though not super impressive, indicates that we can perform in hostile environments.
We can definitely beat them on the road.
However, I agree that our losses, though to good teams, were pretty bad. At least, the blowout ones were.
