How far is Peters away from being ready

58 passing yards and several missed reads. I would like to think Peters could do this at a minimum. I get that Michigan can still make a run at the CFP with only 1 loss, but let's not try to fool ourselves into thinking they legitimately have a chance to run the table.

Isn't that what O'Korn has? He was nearly picked off at least three times. His deep throws suck, and people kept talking about Speight's deep throws. If all we can do is run the ball and do 15 yard and in routes, Peters should get a chance. Our defense can neutralize Barkley. Can our run game neutralize the crowd? I do not subscribe to the whole idea that one runs me a good QB by letting them play. Peters is never going to be good if he expects to go in and come out clean. It is football, and one either rises or falls.

It seems Harbaugh had planned before the game to not give him any snaps, which is weird considering he would usually give snaps in garbage time to the backup.  We thought we were there up 10 in the 4th quarter.

If we do not see Peters in the next game, I think it's time to start questioning our highly paid coaching staff

If you can't trust the QB to pass the ball *at all* then why have him in there?  The running game has shown some signs of life but it couldn't get M a first down at the end of regulation that they needed to ice the game.  The running game will get absolutely shut down by decent defenses if there is zero concern about M's passing game.

If the coaches don't trust the QB to run half the offense, why is he there?

The time to start questioning the coaching staff was last week after that uninspired performance. I didn't see much improvement today on O other than an O-line that seemingly bogged down toward the end of the game.

I don't understand the gameplan or see a direction of this offense at all.

Dude...Give it a rest. We had 271 yards of rushing. We had a RB crack the 200 yard marker since (when?). With a competent D2 QB, this game isn't in question at all. I see a lot of brightspots in the running game, which is great. I don't understand the platooning of all the backs though...however, guh, the QB situation is doom.

We need some blowouts so he can get some PT or at least give him a series or 2 each game ... I think after this year it’s his time even if Speight returns

There could be one more -- he could be in some sort of doghouse situation and the coaches feel that putting him into the game would send a bad message to the team.

I don't know if A) is possible.  "Terrible" would be an upgrade.

I want to say first that I have not been on the "Bench O'Korn, Peters for President" train over the past couple weeks.

But at this point we know what we're getting with O'Korn.  He hands the ball off well and can pick up occasional running yards... but you can't count on him for anything downfield.

I don't see how Brandon Peters can be worse at this point.  This team isn't going anywhere with this offense, even with an elite defense.  Maybe it's time to get the kid some game experience and prepare him for next year.

Then again, he was hand-picked by Harbaugh so he must have some redeeming qualities.  We saw for ourselves that he has a good arm and can make the throws.  The rest is a mystery people want to see as there is no mystery about O'Korn's performance.  Today's performance isn't going to cut it vs. PSU.

Then stick with JOK and take your fucking 7-5 record at best with 7-6 after a shitty bowl game. Enjoy. Because JOK sucks. Period. Not a good QB. Even Houston didn't want him. But yeah, everyone keep sucking that dick of the Quarterback Whisperer because the infallible Football God never makes a mistake on a QB.

Who is the backup to O'Korn at this point? Is Peters so completely not ready that he won't see the field even in the event of an injury? Is Dylan even slightly ready? I see freshman QBs play with success every Saturday. Very frustrating to see the QB situation unfold the way it has this season. O'Korn is worse than terrible.

I don't give a shit about red shirts. I thought this was supposed to be a meritocracy. I don't want to hear that word used around here anymore if the argument is going to be we have to save him or anyone else. JOK is bad and by bad I mean , not good. So let's not keep doing the same thing over and over again. Let's try something else.

Can we have Jedd Fisch back? At least the offense was fun to watch with him. We give the other team a different look every snap, it's no wonder the qbs are lost half the time.
