A lot going on here, doesn't mean we won't get it. The timing of it makes it tougher for the judge I'd imagine, and the first one had to recuse himself since he's a UM employee, so that extended the timeframe.

Quite frankly for me I think the refs fucking UM over might be a bigger concern of mine right now than who is the HC. Either on directive from the Big Ten itself or if not just because they are human and if they have been only reading certain media sources they might have a negative opinion of UM on their own. Plus the at PSU factor already since UM has had some phantom/bizzare calls in that building. Nico Collins absurd offensive PI that wiped a likely td comes to mind.

Eh idk, I don't think people are giving PSU's defense enough credit. I could see a scenario where UM wins this game comfortably but could also see one where PSU's defense plays well enough to keep it close where calls might matter. Their pass rush and secondary are flat out legit and statistically at least going into this game they don't seem that easy to push around in the running game this year.

I mean we are entitled to our takes but Brian, etc also seemed to think they are pretty legit after looking at the advanced stats and tape. They definitely have an excellent pass rush and NFL caliber guys in the secondary. LB is iffy and their dline hasn't been fully tested in the running game. The latter would give me supreme confidence that UM could expose them a little bit there but UM's running game not being the same so far this year gives me less confidence.
Granted I am not saying UM isn't the better team but it seems silly to me to assume easy win in one of the toughest places to play in college football against at least a decent defense.

Their defense is legit, no doubt. But their offense is absolutely not. Could it be close, sure. But this offense is not world beaters. 14 - 17 points is probably all we need to win.

Eh, honestly besides that bizarre call last week's officiating was honestly pretty fair. They even called Purdue for a few holds. But that was a home night game which no doubt helped keep the officials in line.
