Guess the Total Kickstarter Pledge +

Submitted by XM - Mt 1822 on April 4th, 2024 at 4:56 PM

Mates,

You can’t help but be fascinated how the attempt for a $50,000 pledge for the super Duper fancy coffee book is now nearly 800% of the request. If only all our endeavors worked out so well. That said, it’s still not done growing. So I have two questions for you all today, this day of no points and no consequences:

1.  What will be the final total of the Kickstarter pledge?

2.  After paying expenses, what should the MgoOverlords do with all the extra $?

$427,781

The MGoBrainTrust has to have have known the response would top $50K. That's only 333 1/3rd backers.  The money cannon sneezes that much when it gets up in the morning.

What to do...?  NIL.  MGoLottery.  Ann Arbor Torch and Pitchfork investment.

NO...... Fund the MGoCheering section at the XCel Energy Center in Minneapolis.  Highest and best use right there.

WOWSERS!!!  I see now that it is very successful.  I'd say make an amazing book this year, and put anything leftover towards amazing experiences for next years games.  That way - you'll have even better and in depth pictures and materials for another book next year.

Or just rent a plane with a banner that says osuX born on 3rd base... and fly it around their stadium during games haha.  Ask yourself - how petty can I be hahaha...

Note - our family often talks about winning the lottery.  But instead of buying all this extravagant stuff, we like to talk about what would we do that was petty lol

I has crossed my mind that they could make a good dent in a NIL fund with the expected profits from the book, but the right answer is whatever our MGoOverlords want to do with it (big dividend/bonus for Brian and Seth, rainy day fund, make it rain, new car, MGoRV for covering road games, etc.)

Pay someone to go and kick Tony Petiti in the jimmy. You know just for fun.

Edit: In the spirit of MGoBlog it should be a dong punch.

1. One Million Spacebucks

2. Pay the Red Wings to take off that stupid, losing streak inducing advertising patch. Shit hit the fan as soon at that eyesore went on. Four wins in 16 games since it was added.

2a Whatever they choose is fine with me.

I feel like if they pumped this up on their podcasts, the roundtable, and did a bunch of guest appearances on podcasts and radio they could hit 1 million. Why not? That's like only 5 thousand fans. I haven't even put my order in yet because I don't know how many I'm going to buy.

Enjoy a well-earned return on the hard work they put in towards the free membership we all receive.

Quite the money cannon though. Any chance to start an annual mgoblog NIL fund?

If we can do all of this for the kickstarter, could be maybe pool or mgobucks to start an NIL for the long snapper? The MGoBlog Long Snapper feels like a thing we could do and an amount of money we could raise

Soon they'll hit the real target of $452,342.27.

But I say: with enough time, force of will, Tom Brady shoutouts, and a troll marketing campaign designed to infuriate terminally online Buckeyes, the money cannon can eventually reach the ultimate goal of $3,024,452,342.27

$650,000, and most of it's going to making and mailing and storing and shipping books. We are making some incredible outlays for this blog's history. I think the biggest expense before this was something like $40k for the new servers. Looking at shipping rates times 5,000 books we're going to blow by that at the post office. The covers alone are going to cost 5x what it costs to print a normal HTTV.

And y'all better appreciate this thing because I turned down a free opening day ticket behind home plate today to work on it.

As they say in my business, you are assuming facts not in evidence.

There is no reason, no factual basis, to believe that there are:

"extra $"

The value this site adds to my life:
