Greek Graham Mertz/Spencer Petras?

"The portal" is just official-sounding code for college football musical chairs. It's close to jumping the shark, if it hasn't already.
And it's only going to get worse.

Don’t want to start a thread over every portal entry but there is a Penn grad transfer named Joey Slackman who is a 6’4 300 lb defensive tackle who is the number one player in the portal right now. It doesn’t talk about Michigan reaching out but 20 schools have already and he’s going to try to decide pretty quickly. Seems like he would definitely fit a need for us. There is also Thor Griffith, the 320 lb defensive tackle from Harvard as well. He’s number 6 currently in the portal. Apparently this Slackman is a major force and former wrestler. Hopefully Michigan reaches out.

He isn’t starting over Graham or Grant. Kid from Harvard is more likely.

Grant is moving to nickel, so there is room for him.

The /S mean "or safety", right?

Doesn’t need to start over them, we rotate a lot on the line. We could use the depth and talent. I’d take both of them and the Harvard kid.

He was just offered. Add him with Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant and Rayshaun Benny and we have the makings of another great D line : )

I prefer Greek Gunslinger, but I'm a sucker for alliteration.

Hmm. A quarterback. I wonder if there's anything appealing about playing QB for UM....

I’d like the staff to see if there’s any interest from Jared Casey, the LB from Indiana. Seemed to stick out during that game, kinda like Hausmann did the year before

From the Gopher games I watched I thought his decision making and accuracy held back their offense. He also probably had it made in Minnesota by being their starter next year, because I am willing to guess that no program at Minnesota's level or better will go after him. He may be best suited for a MAC school.

What about Indiana's 6'5" QB converted to wide receiver Donaven McCulley, who just entered the portal?
Would love to see UM have a tall receiver like that to go along with our big tight ends making catches like this: https://twitter.com/i/status/1720856209266274402
