What does go getter mean in this context?

“Michigan DL Kris Jenkins tells me he will return to the program next year. “For sure,” he told me. “I love this place.”

Huge news. He’s a stud and will likely be a captain alongside Sainristil. The D-line, even with the losses of Mazi and Morris, has a legitimate chance to be even better next season. As does the defense as a whole and the entire team. We’re in the midst of one of the greatest stretches of Michigan football in the modern era. Enjoy it folks.

This wasn't even on my radar honestly. In my mind I was thinking he was a sophomore. I guess he's a RS soph so he could've gone but I didn't even think he was on NFL radars yet

This is massive news. He will be the best returning defensive player if he comes back in 2023 and will provide some excellent depth to our Dline. Very interesting how Minter talked about the reason for our 2nd half success this year is because of our depth and how many guys we are able to play. Go Blue!

I knew his dad Kris and uncle Cullen were long time NFL guys, but I didn’t realize for a while that they were from Michigan and attended Belleville. I wonder if they still had family out this way and if that had any impact on his recruitment. Either way, what a pickup.

I wonder what his best playing weight is though and what Michigan is looking for?

Does Graham steps into Mazi’s role with Grant getting Graham’s snaps?

Anchor: McGregor, Moore

NT: Graham, Grant

DT: Jenkins, Benny

WDE: Harrell, Okie, Stewart

Apologies if I don’t know my terminology or football in general, but I imagine that these are the 2-deep contributors next year. We should be able to rotate a lot of bodies and keep the boys fresh again.

The exciting thing is that all of these guys have so much room for growth yet too. Another offseason with Herbert could pay huge dividends.
