G Christian Anderson Jr decommits from Michigan
After the news that Phat Phat Brooks has affirmed his commitment, this is unfortunate news. Anderson has been one of the most prolific scorers and shooters in the country and matches the type of player that seems like he would’ve been an impactful player who isn’t an NBA flight risk. I assume that he and May had a discussion and they parted ways
So we're going to be sans Christian Anderson? (Stolen from Twitter.)
I was going to post a Hans-related comment, but I can't top this.
Does this mean that there won't be a fairy-tale ending to Michigan's men's basketball team's 2024-25 season?
Damn, there go the national championship odds for next season
If either Anderson or May decided to go in another direction I'm perfectly fine with it. Things change, re-evaluate and make a fresh decision as to what's best for you.
This is the one that I really want to stay in Dusty’s offense. Kid has gotten better and better and can shoot the lights out. He will be a sniper for some team if we can’t reel him back in
At 5 11 I’ll take that bet. He doesn’t have the wiggle to get his shot off at this level and he has to shoot it 30x like AI
I’ve read where he’s grown to 6’1. I’ll take that bet with you that he will be a good shooter on whatever team he plays on.

If you read somewhere he’s 6’1 you should be immediately skeptical of any information from that source. Hes smaller than Dug and not near the athlete
The kid is at Oak Hill and plays against great competition, he’ll be fine at the next level. His progression was awesome over the past few years.
Since the decommitment came a few days after the coach was named, that feels like he's pretty much gone, no? I assume he was waiting to see if he'd be a fit with the new guy and either he or Dusty (or both) determined no.
Wish him well. He committed early and hasn't wavered until now. It's understandable he has to reevaluate things. I'm optimistic that May will get the guys he needs to get things moving in the right direction.
If he's a good fit, then there is still time to recruit him back. If not, it wasn't meant to be.
i am reaffirming my commitment, so please don't worry about that and for goodness sake, stop asking. gosh.
How's your handle?
Meh, but back in the day I was an effective rebounder, and heaven knows we need some help on the boards
🤔 Oh Hans, we barely knew you!
Best of luck young man as you look elsewhere.
I think of the Burbs when this is said
A fine Christian name!
Hans, Boobie, I'm your white knight!
I must’ve missed that episode of 60 Minutes.
Man I was really excited for Anderson next season! This is a bummer
Wish him luck. Not sure he was going to be a great fit at UM with the coaching change so probably best for everyone involved that he finds a suitable spot.
Byeeeeeeeeeee
This is Dusty’s program now. If this kid isn’t buying what Dusty is selling, that’s fine. I’m all good with completely wiping the slate clean and starting everything over.
