Good thing we elevated Moore for "continuity..."

I'm not saying he wasn't the right person for the job, but I would have liked to see a round or two of interviews.

Of course, Warde would be conducting those, so...

2023-24 National Champions!

I don't think it looks like a mistake. I think the mistake was in thinking that there wouldn't be much attrition. I'd like to know if Sherrone knew this would happen or if he's been caught off guard. I think that's the bigger question. That would say a lot about whether Harbaugh was a good faith actor or whether he couldn't care less about a program he claims to love.

I don't see Moore floundering. The search has been very quiet, and I don't trust anyone claiming to have insider info. Unless it came from the horse's mouth, I'm not buying any of it. We've been burned so, so many times this season by so-called insiders. I think there's a lot of speculation here, all negative of course. Not surprising from this fanbase. It's either fantastic or the world is ending.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t have hired Moore, but at the same time, if he didn’t have his staff lined up then we should’ve done a comprehensive coaching search. If you’re going to lose recruits, assistant coaches, and potentially current players, then what was the advantage of skipping the search and promoting Moore? We currently have all the negative ramifications of long drawn out search, without any of the advantages of avoiding it.

The problem of hiring a head coach from within versus a head coach from the outside is that a head coach from the outside will bring most of his staff with him, ala BeBoer.

Sherrone has no outside staff to "bring in", so when he loses his own staff there are no replacements at hand.

Michigan is going to have to shop for a complete defensive staff . . . go hire a top Defensive Coordinator and have him bring his staff with him.  We have the money, we aren't spending it on retaining our own people.

Do you think he hasn’t been since he was hired? Or do we just imagine Moore sitting around being surprised by guys he works closely with getting new jobs?

Elston has been on the recruiting trail all the way up to today. So I would hope and believe there has been communication amongst all parties that matter (coaches, players, recruits)

It's weird to blame Warde for all of this when it's Harbaugh doing the poaching. Everyone seems to think Warde has the power to "lock him down." They thought that about Harbaugh, too, which was wrong. Harbaugh can't be locked down by anyone, anywhere.

Yes. When commenting on the future you need to stop immediately because you just won a Championship. Forget losing the coaches that developed that defense that held Washington to 13 because they are all but gone. Wtf is wrong with Warde and our athletic department? You ever seen Bama football, Georgia football, Duke basketball ever raided by the pros? Warde is getting his ass handed to him year after year and now day after day.

Duke did what it took to keep Coach K there. Its not just bad luck that pulled Bakich, Harbaugh, Beilein, Herbert, Elston, and Minter away from our program. Sure there is some wanting to go by coaches but I promise lifetime college guys like Elston and Herbert got fuck all from Warde to keep them here. All these power houses lost coaches due to scandal or retirement and that is IT. Not one scandal or retirement in that entire group I mentioned.

Instead of OSU focusing on sign gate, they should have encouraged us to win National Championship. Same results. Our program being ripped apart…

Fuck, Harbaugh is decimating his "beloved" Michigan program.

How much longer can we keep our key players on Defense when all of their coaches are leaving?
