Seems like a shocker to the authors of this site who repeatedly asserted Dylan would rather do nothing at all than play for Harbaugh.

His plan was to play this spring for Northern Colorado, so he could not have remained on Michigan’s roster.

Well he doesn’t play defense and we just fired the coordinator responsible for most of the people you listed.  He also doesn’t play OL.  Our coaching of skill position players has been abysmal.  Raise your hand if you think DPJ is doing well in the NFL or got drafted because of the amazing coaching he got at UofM.  He is succeeding because he was a 5* athletic stud.  Just like Gary.  Just like Dax Hill will be.

How many of those guys went to a power 5 school before playing FCS?

I honestly don't know, I didn't follow any of their careers and a sentence into typing this I'm curious but not curious enough to google it myself.

My overall point is there is likely a difference between being overlooked or possibly under developed in high school, so FCS is your best option vs being highly recruited and transferring down to FCS.

There's also a difference between being a college athlete and being a college athlete with name recognition. A McCaffrey leaving an FBS school to go play for a McCaffrey is going to net some attention. His name alone will open doors for him. As long as he plays well, this changes nothing for his future.

And that explains why he opted out. If he hadn’t, then he wouldn’t have been able to play in the spring when they have their season.

Well at least Dad can watch him play.  I never understood why Ed took that job with a son in the NFL and 2 playing D1 college football.  I would've tried to make as many of my boys' games as possible.

Went to school at UNC for a year before transferring to CSU. It was... not that cool.

Everyone rags on Greeley and the fact it smells like cowshit all the time but it's just not a college town by any sense. Everyone either went "home" for the weekend to Denver or went to party in Boulder or Fort Collins. The academics are good if you're an education or nursing major but outside of that, they're nothing to write home about. The town itself is pretty boring and let's just say Big Sky conference football is about as relevant as it sounds.

But maybe with the McCafferys in tow, that might spark up a bit of intrigue in the program?
