I remember someone posting a pic of Northern Colorado’s “stadium,” which is a big high school field that sits 8,000 fans.  That’s a big change.

But I guess until covid is under control, the big house won’t have any more fans than N. Colorado.

This seemed to be quite fairly widely expected for some time but there were a lot of people who scoffed at it. I don't see many of the scoffers on here acknowledging their error. (But kudos to the ones who did!)

The reality is that McCaffery never had a chance here like anyone we put behind center because we lack any coherent identity and consistency. You could put Tom Brady back there and we would still look like shit. Harbaugh is a dead man walking. If he makes it to game 6 I'll be shocked. This is just a wait and see to get through the pandemic and start anew for the next coach. Wanted to see Harbaugh succeed as much as the next but he was not able to retain coaches, players or develop top talent. Time for a change. I hope he gets another NFL gig. You could see the look on his face in the presser when he got hired here. He's like, "How long do I have to stay here until leaving for the NFL again without looking bad?" He regretted ruffling feathers in SF and he was sent back to college. No one goes to a Super Bowl, loses, and then says nah I will go back to college. You only go back to college if you can't cut it in the league. His heart has never been here. Anyone with a pulse on this subject knows this.

Makes sense and the reason he opted out was because he decided back in September after the campus protest and it looked like the B1G wasn't going to have a season that he would finish the semester, graduate and then play the 2020 season in 2021 for his dad at Northern Colorado. This wasn't about Harbaugh it was about the B1G and Covid.

In a sense his Dad has been coaching him all of his life. I would think that to grow as a QB, it would make sense to get top flight coaching somewhere else (if he didn't think Mich provided that). Unless the plan is for his Dad to get an NFL job and for that team to sign him (not serious here). Looks more to me like he wanted to be someplace where he was absolutely assured of starting.
