Does the Big House dip below 100K attendance next week?

Frustrated fanbase.

Playing Rutger who's by far the least interesting team in the conference.

Weather still nice enough for golf, boats, and other outdoor fun.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of empty seats.

Even if it looks like that at the stadium, they'll still announce 100,000 because of the tickets they sold for the game. So, the official attendance will always be 100,000 no matter what it looks like.

My buddy was giving me his 2 tix.  I live in Chicago.  I’m not going now.  Don’t want to waste the weather on the drive and the game.  Golf it’s going to be.

they will prob crush Rugers and everyone will say the ship is righted....NOT...that was perhpas one the all time WORST performances of a Michigan team...it was Embarassing ....we are looking at 4 or 5 losses easily this year

Even if it does, Michigan will still say it is over 100K. Tickets already bought but people who don't show up still get counted. Everyone in the stadium gets counted.

IIRC the 2 tickets for a Coke game (Minn?) had empty pockets but was still 100K and the crowd booed because they knew it was not true.

So frustrated.  I already was going to the game while my wife went to the Jason Aldean concert with a friend.  Need to reconsider.  I'm going to be an a-hole all week because of today. I better go to the concert with her now as opposed to sending her there with a bunch of cowboys who haven't been a jerk to her all week.

Attendance over 100,000 will be based on tickets sold, not people passing through the gates.

Actual attendance(especially if the weather is nice)will be below 100,000.

Doesn’t matter if it’s under or over 100,000. The AD has lied before about that magic number. They will again.

I'll be there with my dad. Excited to get back to the Big House for the first time this year. It doesn't really matter that they look a lot worse than we were hoping. It'll be a fun day. I may question that after the game if they lose, but I'll look forward to it for now.

No. They don't count actual attendance, just tickets.

Wasn't it just last game they announced during the TV broadcast a record of attendance for x number years.  Those years included large areas of empty seats. Think free tickets with purchase of coke.

There is no system in place to fact-check whatever number the AD claims is at the game. For this reason, the streak of 100k in attendance is likely not even legitimate. Many suspected Brandon fudged the numbers and Warde might do the same if that's the position he finds himself in.

This gets explained about once a week and somehow some people never understand it.

At Michigan Stadium - like every other sports venue in North America - attendance is based on tickets sold (plus press/field passes distributed).  It is not a physical count of everyone at the stadium, and has not been for a long time.

News Flash:  Attendance has dipped below 100K many times since "the 100K sellout record".

Tickets (allegedly) sold is not the same as butts in the seats.  If the weather is bad next week, there will be less than 100K in attendance.

As a season ticket holder from PA I'll be there to watch the Rutgers route. I still have faith in this team to be competitive moving forward, and I'm sure 99,999 others with tickets do too.

Yes. But they will keep the big lie alive. Let's get real. Just be truthful with where this program is at. Michigan could not go into any top team stadium and win. Mississippi St. Oregon Oklahoma St. Iowa St. Florida St. Virginia Tennessee Arizona St. Utah UCF Auburn Kentucky Washington St. ......do we win any of those games?????
