Dickinson In Good Company
Players with heart!
Hunter x Hunter.
Man… jerseys were just better back in the day. Just baggier.
But that color is terrible.
Agreed

The perfect shade would be halfway in between those two.

I love the Fab Five maize color.
It grabs you by the eyes and makes you pay attention. Like the Fab Five themselves.
I guess it depends whether you think of raw corn or cooked corn when you think of maize. I wouldn't eat anything that color. 🤣
Seems like the font on our current (standard) jerseys is disproportionately small. Would be nice if they changed to the Fab 5 font instead.
Classic.

Bring back the classic Fab Five Big Bad Block M on the pants!
Make those in the current color and let's roll!
I've been kinda taking HD for granted the last few games with all the other drama going on with the roster/team. He is the real reason why we're here. After today it hit me that there's nothing else to accomplish for him & his college career is almost over. Good for you Hunter, and can we get a 40 point swan song game please?
That’s a good point - I kind of thought he may be coming back given his NBA draft stock. But there’s really not much left for him to prove at this point.

He can prove a Final Four!

There’s some talk that NIL income might motivate him to stick around.
The reason for him to stay would be that you can only be a college player once.

HD's NIL market should be very high (I might even buy one of his jerseys, size large). Is it possible that he could structure an NIL deal so lucrative that he might consider another year? Kofi Cockburn stayed for his junior year, and it didn't seem to hurt his draft stock much --- quite the contrary, in fact. I watched part of the Chattanooga (a 13-seed) game; Kofi went 6 of 12 from the floor and pulled down 13 REBs. Yes, I know: HD against TN (a 3-seed) went 8 of 13 from the floor, including 3 triples out of five attempts, and 8 of 10 FTs for 27 points and 11 REBs --- an impressive performance.
Still, think what Hunter could do next year with Frankie, Mussa (is he going anywhere?), and Caleb all grown up and his pockets stuffed with NIL money. I'd like to believe he'll a least give it some thought.
He's too small though
I saw him at a hockey game, the eve of The Game, and the dude is big
I think you missed the joke. Are you #33?
I said it last week and will repeat it. I don’t understand how he wasn’t really in the conversation for first team B1G. Everyone seemed to have the same 5. To me it was a clear top 6, with him there
no shade on any the other 5. I just didn’t get what the gap was that everyone else saw. Then 2 other guys in the 2nd team got all-American mention???
Well, 3 of those guys will be NBA lottery picks, so there is that. Not an easy list to crack.

But it’s not a NBA Draft prospect team, it’s an all-Big Ten team.
I guess our record caused him to fall off the radar a bit.
Hunter played great yesterday! A lot of the team did: Eli, T-Will, Frankie, Moussa. Even those that didn't have their best games, played hard. Grats to Hunter on his game, keep it going big guy!
Hunter's a special player! Every reporter and Big Dance media member said Tennessee had to many big weapons for him to handle and he plays the game of his life!
It was like David vs Goliath - except Hunter was both David and Goliath
Does that make Rick Barnes Saul?
March 20th, 2022 at 10:01 AM ^
Rick Barnes is complete garbage in March. What he did with Durant is malpractice. And this Tennessee team missed some open shots but.. dude sucks. Thanks Rick!
March 20th, 2022 at 10:31 AM ^
I think of Barnes as more like Balaam’s donkey
When Juwan had Eli, Hunter, Moussa, Terrance and Frankie on the court at the same time, it was our defense that was suffocating!
Hunter got surgical with it last night. He has carried us all season long. I've been watching Michigan bball since mid 80s and he's on the short list with the legends. Special special player.
We haven't had a villain since Mo Wagner. Mo was a good dude, but other teams hated him. Hunter takes it on fully though.
He screamed at the Tennessee cheerleaders and fans at the end.
If you're the villain, embrace it!!! And win.
And let's all hope Hunter can do what Juwan wasn't able to, unfortunately, do. And that's to shock the world and be the first 11th seed ever to win a natty all fueled by the lights out playing of the one and only Hunter "Mother F******" Dickinson.
And this picture of Hunter truly rocks....
March 20th, 2022 at 10:04 AM ^
So... That tweet... How many points did Juwan have back in the day - you know, for comparison purposes? I looked it up - JH had 28 and 34, for 62 total points. Hunter had a great couple of games, but they're a little short of what Juwan did back in his day. Nonetheless, the 'good company' part is very real!
But what a dumb tweet. If you're going to make a point like that, then give all the relevant stats! FU, ESPN...
March 20th, 2022 at 10:52 AM ^
The Tweet called attention to something probably 99% of fans didn’t know. Yeah, it could have been more specific, but that doesn’t make it dumb.
March 20th, 2022 at 11:40 AM ^
For reference, Glen Rice started his amazing run in 1989 with 23 and 36.
March 20th, 2022 at 12:08 PM ^
Each of 5 of his 6 tournament games would be near 40 year high scores for UM basketball.
5 of 6.
23, 36, 34, 32, 28, 31
Consistency at crunch time and still the NCAA record for most points scored in a tournament. Considering all the high-powered scorers that have played since then, it's pretty impressive it's still the record.

Love Juwans porn mustache...
Speaking of old school, OldSchool, mustaches were not unusual then, and only recently has the culture decided they were porn 'staches.
I wonder what today's fashion of big bushy beards will be called in the future. Maybe "homeless beards."
