Both shows are at Columbus for Penn State - Ohio State.

But they will probably talk about Michigan more than anything else.

Reece Davis:  "THIS IS SERIOUS!!  IT'S A RULE!  YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IT!!"

You mean like the No NIL Inducements rule Reece?  Haven't heard ESECPN opine on the seriousness of that one.

Wow, the whole panel ganged up against Desmond. Especially Reese (Alabama) Davis.  Really? An Alabama guy casting judgement on any college team?

Imagine how much worse OSU is going to be now that teams will be more vigilant going forward and doing a better job of concealing their signs.  And not just OSU, but all the big boys.  Hypocritical fucks, all of them.

I agree. Beyond the pale seems incongruous with everything else he said. And everything else he said was completely fair and reasonable. There are comments in this thread above that say Reece himself was "beyond the pale" in his criticism on Gameday. But if his take on Gameday was the same as this video, I don't see the problem, at all. I've heard way worse.

Almost 10am and no Punt/CounterPunt yet.

It's probably hard to find the right approach to writing about a game that featured an attack last year, and a masturbating coach, and a week of cheating allegations.

“We don’t give a damn about the whole state of Michigan.” - People who literally wrote an entire song about Michigan.

Reese Davis and Pat McAfee have already very clearly found Michigan to be guilty, and it is obvious Davis wants Michigan to pay, even if the NCAA finds them to be innocent. Unwatchable.

On Seth's Twitter feed, he liked comments from a coach/consultant who says the NCAA is investigating the wrong team. He insinuates that it's actually OSU that is stealing signs based on his experience with helping teams disguise signals, so Day is definitely taking a play out of the psychological projection playbook.

I guess when you are 0-2 vs your biggest rivalry and are on the hot seat because of it, you will do anything to survive...

Poor Penn State.  Poor irrelevant Penn State.

They are Ohio State's opponent today, and all Ohio State is focused on is Michigan.

The articles about this mention NCAA bylaw 11.6.1. The bylaw says off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents in the same season is prohibited. That can be found in Article 11, governing conduct of “Athletics Personnel.” Personnel includes coaches, managers, graduate assistants and volunteer coaches. If Stalions was able to get unaffiliated people to tape games and send him the film, he discovered a loophole big enough to drive a truck through. He may have violated the spirit of the bylaw, but as written, I think he’s innocent. But that subtlety is lost on tools like Rece Davis who are only interested in controversy and ratings.
