If you win a close game against a sub-par opponent but really should have lost (say NC State) should you drop? What if you had another close game against a sub-par opponent previously?

The southern bias of these polls is a real thing.

Four team playoff. #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3. If we win out, we are in the playoffs. Lose a game and likley out. Would love this to be the final ranking !!! Clemson is way easier than any of Alabama, Texas A&M, Washington or OSU. The ACC sucks. FSU was 5-2 and a bad top 20 team. Penn State grades better even to the CFP in this ranking at a #12, so there you go. Give me Clemson in the first round and I would be a happy camper.

Wow. Penn State at #12 and Colorado at #15. Probably bodes well for our ranking if those two are that high

Makes me think we're probably #2 at minimum...

How much do they really matter at this point? Just keep winning one game at a time. WMU at 23 is awesome. Colorado at 15 and PSU at 12 look good for our SOS.

if the committee truly values SOS, Bama seems to have an exemption.

They clubbed #4 A&M, but otherwise have decent wins over USC, Tennessee & Arkansas to their credit. We have 3 top 15 wins. Bama is getting the benefit of the doubt based on prior seasons

how anyone can watch Bama play, and then watch us play and justify us being ahead of them. Alabama is what we could look like in a few years when Harbaugh has his high recruiting classes playing to their potential. Alabama just looks like an absolute terror of a team this year. Not saying Michigan couldn't win, but holy hell Bama is good.
