Maryland so that Minnesota gets a worse BTT seeding. OSU because I want Michigan to win the Big Ten
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:38 PM ^
Wow I did not know
Jamal Mashburn Jr. played @ Minnesota
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:15 PM ^
Ummm...he's suited up twice against Michigan this year.
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:39 PM ^
OSU-Wisconsin is a reverse-meteor situation: either result is quite acceptable. Wisconsin losing is certainly good for us, and OSU losing is good because of the LOL factor.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:29 PM ^
Same thing with msu. Right now if they beat Wisconsin Illinois or Iowa all that does is help us. And if they lose than lol factor. I love basketball!!
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:38 PM ^
The question is if/when will MSU play those teams again?
January 23rd, 2021 at 5:05 PM ^
32-25 Suckeyes at half. Hate to root for the Scarlet and Grey Asswipes - but I am.
Good for us in standings, and Wisconsin hoops team quite "unlikeable"!
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:42 PM ^
Anyone notice that after we beat a blazing hot Purdue team last night by 17 that all of the sudden the Purdue hype is just gone? "Oh they're a young team." I'm getting so tired of this team beating good opponents then all of the sudden the team we beat isn't considered good anymore
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:45 PM ^
To be fair, playing them without Stefanovic was a significant break. He's averaging 11 ppg and shooting 46 % from downtown.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:12 PM ^
Sure, and we played with awkward small ball lineups for most of the game because the refs put all our bigs in foul trouble. That's college basketball
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:31 PM ^
Eh, I think Purdue playing 40 minutes without Stefanovic is a bigger hardship to them than us playing a few minutes without a true 5 in the game. A better comparison would probably be us having to play without Brooks at Minnesota (which did not go well for us either).
Regardless, we took care of business and I don't see too many people in the media doubting us.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:37 PM ^
Purdue sucks, we beat them by 30+ with neutral refs, with or without stefanovic who is too slow to get any open 3s against our defense.
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:53 PM ^
Maryland and OSU, just to put as much daylight as possible between us and other B1G regular season championship contenders.
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:55 PM ^
Baylor has the first ranked defense on kenpom, but they allowed 36 first-half points to a Cunningham-less Oklahoma State, whose offense is ranked 53rd even with him. They’re down 3 at halftime.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:47 PM ^
Baylor now up by 12.
I like Michigan against any of the teams I have seen today.
January 23rd, 2021 at 2:59 PM ^
Gophers down 9 points @ halftime. Undefeated home record in jeopardy.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:29 PM ^
No no no no no!!!
I want to go back and talk COVID, not basketball!

January 23rd, 2021 at 3:30 PM ^
Minnesota down 11 with 11 min left!
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:30 PM ^
Baylor down 1 with 14 min left
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:37 PM ^
OSU hanging tough without Cade Cunningham.??
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:31 PM ^
Can we ever want OSU to win when they are playing someone other than Staee
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
If it benefits Michigan, I have no problem rooting for them or Sparty for that matter. I’m first and foremost a Michigan fan.
But if we reap no benefit? Forget it.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
I can't remember ever rooting for Staee in basketball and I've been watching a long time - long enough that my memory isn't as good as it used to be.

Being a Maryland fan must be a painful experience. Bad Minnesota showed up today and Maryland is struggling to make something out of it. Must be even more painful to be a Gopher fan knowing that it is coin toss whether your team is going to play like a Sweet 16 team or a D-III team.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:44 PM ^
Maryland plays Bizarro World basketball : terrible at home, great on the road.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:45 PM ^
Baylor probably pulls away by double digits with oklahoma state without Cade Cunningham (and another player) but I haven’t been that impressed. May just be an off game for them.
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:47 PM ^
Neither have I, they've looked like a good team for sure, but Ok St sticking around for this long without a semblance of an offense or defense is sad
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:46 PM ^
We should be the #2 team in the country. We are better than Baylor. Oklahoma St (without Cade Cunningham) has been sticking with Baylor for 3/4 of this game and they barely run an offense or defense
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:36 PM ^
Don't worry about Baylor. They haven't made a final four in 71 years
January 23rd, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
This is a mid aughts Big Ten game. Just gross.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:01 PM ^
The Pitino kid is doing the full Izzo down a dozen with over 2 minutes left.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:02 PM ^
Pretty frustrating to see Minnesota play like absolute bums at home.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:04 PM ^
If the Gophers played like this against us last week we would have beaten them by 30 points
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:08 PM ^
Maybe, we also played like boiled ass as well. First to 50 probably wins
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:13 PM ^
Turtles beat gophers easily, led the whole game. Guess the gophers used all their luck against us.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:15 PM ^
Wisconsin losing is better for Michigan’s big ten title hopes. Keep them and Iowa as much at arm’s length as possible. But I’m not going to be upset if OSU loses, either.
Watching them fail at anything is always enjoyable.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
God I hate Davison. Good to see the ref show his ass up for his bullshit antics.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
Davison just had a three wiped off the board because he purposefully stuck his leg out trying to get a foul.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:23 PM ^
Maryland has beaten Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota all on the road—where they are 30-4 with 3 of the 4 losses coming to Maryland. And yet they haven’t won at home yet—so weird.
January 23rd, 2021 at 4:30 PM ^
To be fair to Maryland, their schedule has been bonkers. Their home losses are to Rutgers (when they weren’t ass), Iowa, and Michigan. The Nebraska game was postponed. They don’t really get a break schedule wise but will have many more opportunities to win some home games against some good teams.
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:18 PM ^
Wisconsin looked like dogshit today. Wow...
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:32 PM ^
Probably a combination of them looking like dogshit and OSU playing well. OSU is a hard team to gauge. They now have beaten an unreal five straight top 10 teams in a row but yet will go out and lose to a bottom team the next time out. Dangerous one night - sloppy the next
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:40 PM ^
Definitely a weird team. Road loss to Purdue is fine, road loss to Minnesota is fine, home loss to Purdue is strange, and road loss to nw is not good
Still have two games against Iowa, home vs michigan, and home vs Illinois
Probably will finish top four in the conference
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:19 PM ^
It’s nice to see Wisconsin lose to the High Street Tattoo shop’s semi-pro hoops squad.
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:29 PM ^
With the Wisconsin loss, we now again have the longest winning streak in the Big Ten... at 2. Such a tough and deep league. You have to treasure any win.
January 23rd, 2021 at 6:39 PM ^
Definitely a meat grinder this year - no doubt
