Meh, not much to get THAT excited about,

Worst: App St

Best: 2016 Wisconsin

That 2016 team was something else.  JP was so much fun to watch amongst many others things.

Best: UTL 1 v. ND.  The excitement was really another level that night.  Won't ever forget the intro music with "ALL OF THE LIGHTS" - that was amazing.

Worst: 2004 vs. Northwestern because that was my last game in the Big House as a student :(

Best: 1999 vs. OSU, 2003 vs. OSU, 2004 vs. MSU, 2011 vs. ND UTL, 2011 vs. OSU, 2013 vs. ND UTL2, 2012 vs. MSU, 2018 vs. PSU, 2019 vs. ND

The worst I will divide into 2 categories:

1. Actual crap games where Michigan lost or got blown out:

2002 vs. Iowa, 2007 vs. OSU, 2008 vs. NW, 2009 vs. Wisconsin, 2009 vs. PSU, 2009 vs. OSU, 2010 vs. MSU, 2010 vs. Iowa, 2014 vs. Utah, 2014 vs. Maryland, 2015 vs. OSU, 2017 vs. PSU, 2018 vs. OSU, 2019 vs. OSU

2. Heartbreaking losses/choke jobs

2005 vs. OSU, 2012 vs. OSU, 2013 vs. OSU, 2015 vs. OSU, 2017 vs. Wisconsin, 2017 vs. OSU

Yeah I need to stop going to OSU games. Every time I think, "But this time they're gonna finally win, and then I'll miss it after agonizing through all those losses!" Of course, they didn't win either in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2014. Since 1999 Michigan is 1-7 in OSU games I didn't attend, and 3-10 in games I did attend.

This is a superfluously extended list, FWIW 2003 vs. OSU or the first UTL were easily the best two. For the worst I think I'd still have to separate blowouts vs. choke jobs... 2013 vs. OSU was crushing just because of how unexpected it was for Michigan to be in the game, and Devin Gardner's heroics coming up just short due to a bad 2PC play call. 2016 doesn't need explanation. The worst blowout was probably 2018 vs. OSU, since Michigan was actually favored and get utterly humiliated.

I have a worst that isn't mentioned.  I was at Stewart to Westbrook in 94 and that sure sucked.  But it was also a good game and felt a little bewildering but mostly just like horrible luck.

A game that felt worse was Sparty in 1990, after the failed two point pass to Desmond at the student end not too far from where we were.  I had a sense that there was something wrong with the play, but it was just too fast and there was no big screen replay at that time.  So it was just a sick feeling.  Plus Sparty.  It was only after I walked home and saw it on the replay that I knew what had bothered me.

Best- Forcier running it in to beat ND

Worst- #1 vs #2 game 2006, also when I swore to never go to the game in Columbus ever again.  Those fans are sub human filth.

Best:  2016 beat down of (eventual BIG champ, Penn State).  I remember being disappointed that Penn State scored 10 points, because it was such an easy victory.  Lol

Worst:  2017 torrential downpour game vs Michigan State.  My wife and I got SOAKED, while watching the team commit SEVERAL turnovers and lost by 4.  Throw in the fact that we walked to a local diner....and hearing nothing but "go green, go white" chats.  MISERABLE!

Best was 1995 Biakabutuka.  The guy was genius in cleats.

Worst was Colorado the year before. Running on the Boulder Creek Trail a few days after that game I encountered Bill McCartney, who was walking in the opposite direction from me. He looked at my Michigan t-shirt and then gave me the briefest, smallest smile of recognition.

The last home victory over **** notre dame (best). Worst game(s): the Minny game Shane Morris probably doesn't remember...the sparty deluge rain game, and the osu game later that season, both losses. I'll pick my next game carefully...

Best was probably vs PSU in '07, for reasons other than the game itself. But it was a defensive slug out, final score 14-9.

Worst is a tie for NW in those two hellish weather home games, I don't remember the years, but have both fandom endurance badges still. Stayed til the bitter end for both. Still don't know what was coming out of the sky for the first one. Maybe Oregon in '07 should get some consideration.

Absolute favorite was, strangely enough, the 2017 Rutgers game (Brandon Peters' debut).  My son was in the marching band and during halftime band parents got to participate in the halftime show holding up Go Blue banners.  I was standing in the tunnel when Harbaugh went to the locker room, gave us a WTF look then a thumbs-up before disappearing (strangely enough, we were kept outside the tunnel the next year...).  The whole experience was a rush, even if it was Rutgers.

The other was 1986 Iowa, my second game as a college freshman, M won by a last-second FG and my roommate and I rushed the field.

Worst was 2007 vs. Oregon.  First time I took my young son to a game and M had no answer for Oregon.  He was bored and dad was disappointed at M's lackluster performance.  But we had a really good view of the Oregon cheerleaders, that kept dad's spirits up somewhat... :)

Best - 1993 Ohio State - We weren't good that year but we played great in that game.

Worst - I would have to go with the horror with losing to Toledo up there too.

Best—1977-Freshman year. The Game. Woody takes out the cameraman
Worst—2007- Oregon-sitting in the Oregon player’s family section. Seeing Phil Knight walk past....

Worst by far - 2008 Northwestern; Best - too many to choose from for the game itself, but my best weekend experience was the 1987 Wisconsin game.  It was played at the same time as the 2nd game of a season-ending Tigers-Blue Jays series that determined the AL East representative in the ALCS (and, as I bitterly remind homer-hanky waving, indoor baseball-loving Twins fans, the best record, and therefore team, in baseball).  Michigan dominated Wisconsin, but the buzz around the stadium as updates of the Tigers game filtered through lent an underlying excitement.  As I left the stadium with my brother, how was a. UM medical student at the time, the Tigers won, which set up a one-game winner take all scenario on Sunday.  We stopped at his apartment fo a few minutes and headed straight to Tiger Stadium to get in line for bleacher seats on Sunday.  It was worth it.  Tigers 1-Blue Jays0.

If I am going with the overall atmosphere of the place as a measuring stick:

Best: 2004 Michigan / MSU. Braylonfest was insane....and loud.....and I missed a reception foolishly scheduled for that evening by a non-football person. They finally forgave me years later.

Worst: The Horror. The entire game was an uninspired shitfest on our part really, but it is arguably the game that changed the nature of my Michigan fandom in major ways, the day I argue that this program began "a long meandering walk in the woods" in earnest. Truly an Earth-shattering moment in that stadium.

Best game: touch to mention but i was at the MSU 2004 game as well..  But the first notre dame night game with denard bringing us back with 30 seconds left was unreal.

Worst game:  Msu: the dropped punt, Msu: The Soaking wet okorn throw it 30+ times game

Brady Hoke Era: The Nebraska game was the game i knew hoke was done at michigan.  Totally fucking embarassing.. Nebraska fucking sucked god damn dick and the play calling by borges was unreal..  Just totally idiotic all the way around by that staff..

Best: First UTL, the atmosphere was electric.

Worst: Colorado Hail Mary. You could hear a pin drop in the stadium. Tied with "The Punt".

Best weather: Last Indiana home game watching the players make snow angels on the field.

Worst weather: Early 90s Minnesota at home late in the season. Pouring rain around 35 degrees. Stadium cleared out at the half, my husband and his buddy were practically the only ones left in the north endzone after I took the kids to the car. But it was a win!

Worst: Toledo 2008. No explanation needed

Best: Ohio State 2011. I know it was on off year for Ohio State but I was there with my then 11 year-old son and we stormed the field along with everyone else. It was an all around great time

Best: ‘98 Rose Bowl

Worst: 1986 vs Minnesota. 9-0 Harbaugh-led squad got caught looking ahead to OSU and lost at home to the unranked Gophers. Lost our shot at a natty

I'm glad there are a few co-afflicted here who attended that Miami game in '88. I still talk about that one. I was a sophomore. The entire stadium was singing hey hey goodbye with 10 minutes left and a 17 point lead.

Second worst was probably the Desmond trip/drop against MSU. Officials back then would often(?) sometimes(?) call possession of the ball in the air in the end zone a catch and a TD; the ground could not cause a fumble. I saw him catch the ball and not lose it until he had hit the ground, and thought we'd won.

Tie for 3rd was a win against Minny in 1990, the worst weather game I ever attended and I brought my dad.

Other tie for 3rd, losing at home to Earl Bruce and a bad OSU team we were confident we'd beat.

Now to the best: visiting UM as a prospective student with my best friend in 1996, from the 3rd row behind the end zone in the student section, we watched Mike Gillette kick the game-winning field goal to exact revenge against Iowa. Unworthy of it at the time, we stormed the field with all the students.

Second best with the same friend: 1989 Rose Bowl against an over-rated Rodney Pete-led USC. Watching Leroy Hoard do whatever he wanted on the field was magic.

Best: 1995 vs Ohio State.  A couple of beefy Buckeyes next to me trying to hold back tears at their season being ruined again

Worst: maybe 2009 vs Penn State.  Very cold and rainy, Molk got hurt, the game turned into a drubbing right as the bottom fell out on the season.
