Best: Under the Lights 2011

Second best: MSU 2004

Worst: Northwestern 2008

Second worst: Penn State 2014

Yes, I was at App State in 2007 and both of these felt more miserable. One of them was a win!

Best:  November 22, 1969 24-12. UM vs OSU I was a sophomore. Doesn't get any better than this,            especially considering what happened in 1968.

Worst:  2005 Rose Bowl UM vs Texas. Great game but we could not stop Vince Young. Probably                   more of an exhausted disappointment than a "worst" game.

Finally, no such thing as a worst game in Ann Arbor. Always great to go back, walk the campus, feel younger than my age and enjoy a long trek to the stadium.  At times the game is of secondary importance, although loved last year's clobbering of ND, wet feet and all.

Best: 2009 ND Game. It was electric and loud and fun.

Worst: Loss to OSU in 2001. It was my senior year, and I had thought I'd get to rush the field against OSU as they won the big ten. Bummed I didn't get to see an OSU win while a student.  Had it pretty good for attended games.

Weather worst: Western game that was rediculously hot and then cancelled when thunderstorm came was uncomfortable.

Sentimental Best: Brock touching the banner game I think Connecticut where Denard went off.

Bad with years...

Best: 2017 (I believe) the minnesota goal line stand at Minnesota on Holloween.

Worst: 2007 (I believe) vs Illinois. Homecoming with Juice Williams, Mendenhall and whatever great receiver that was.

Also worst... Watching Denards last game at Nebraska and seeing that Bellamy disaster.

The 1984 Sugar Bowl (end of 1983 season) was a tough loss. To lose a game without giving up a touchdown after numerous drops on offense--just tough. It was definitely a road game, not a neutral site. Michigan neutralized Bo Jackson as well as anyone did. Auburn came in a heavy favorite.

1969 vs OSU, south end zone.  THE greatest game in Michigan football history.

Go home and get your shine box, Tommy!

Worst?  It was a win but that wasn't the problem.  It was my son's first game and the Michigan fans around us were cussing and harassing the penn state fans and just generally acting like dicks.

For me it is the same game.

2015 Ohio State

Best Part: Driving over from Iowa after Thanksgiving and watching my two boys walk into Big House for first time

Worst Part: Final Score

The best, worst, and only game I've attended in-person was 2016 @ Iowa. I remember watching the ball flutter through the goal posts and Kinnick stadium going absolutely ballistic around me. I stood there feeling empty, gut-punched and disappointed yet again by Michigan.

Best: UTL II 115,000 people

Worst: Vs Alabama in Jerry World, had standing room only tickets which appeared to be sweet until the lower bowl filled and I couldn't see anything except a foot on the big screen, also results.

Honorable Mention Best: Army game last year, just the atmosphere and everyone singing the army fight song and chanting USA at the end.

Honorable Mention Worst: Gator Bowl 2010

I was 9 years old when I went to my first Michigan game. It was 1986 and Jim Harbaugh had guaranteed victory over Ohio State. I think we just lost to Minnesota the week before (I could be remembering wrong) and I thought we would lose, but Morris was awesome that day and OSU’s kicker hooked a 40-some yard field goal with a minute to go to preserve a 2 point victory. Leaving the ‘shoe I had about 80k Buckeye fans serenading me with “we don’t give a damn about the whole state of Michigan”. It was awesome.

Can I say 2010 triple overtime insanity against Illinois probably fits both for me.

Actual answer for worse is the 2017 MSU game in the driving rain on my birthday.

Actual answer for best may be the 2016 NW game for the 3rd shut out in a row, the stadium was ROCKING that day.

Best: 2018 vs. Wisconsin 38-13

Worst: at Illinois 2009 38-13 loss and 2014 Utah - Severe Thunderstorm and 3 hour delay in a 26-10 loss.

Honorable Mention: 2014 M00N - My wife got pneumonia two days after the game.

Best 2011 OSU. Worst is probably the blocked punt msu game or army last year, with leaning towards the army game. Msu was soul crushing at the end but it had some good parts leading up to that. The army game was just fumble after fumble leading up to a game deciding field goal

Best- Probably 2010 Illinois.  Triple OT.  Score on the first play from scrimmage.

Worst- 2008 Northwestern, at Home.  First trip to the Big House.  Rain, sleet, snow.  One can only get so cold. 12 for 36 passing between Nick Sheridan and noodle-armed Steven Threet

Best - 1997 vs. OSU.  Woodson Heisman / undefeated season game

Worst - 2012 opener vs. Alabama.  50 yard line seats, but in Alabama section. Parking pass confusion meant it was 21-0 when we sat down late in the 1st quarter.  Alabama fans were buying us beers.  S-E-C chant was rolling through Jerry World.

Best? 2006 vs Notre Dame in South Bend.  The "decided schematic advantage" game.

Absolutely glorious weather.

Absolutely glorious beatdown.

Worst? 1988 vs Miami (FL). Blew a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter.

I sat in the stands for quite a while.

Easy haven’t been to many games (5) but have listened or watched very game since 1969 but the best would be a tie, the Desmond Howard punt return in 1991 and Charles Woodson punt return in 1997. Those 2 games were electric. The worst? 5-0 in games attended so I don’t have one.

Best: Iowa, 1997. I was in college and I went to the game with a buddy. I also have family in Iowa so that is always a big game.  Michigan down 14-7 and punting right before halftime.  My buddy and I went out to get a head start on concessions and we heard the roar of the crowd...in a bad way.   Tim Dwight returned the punt for a TD.  We didn't know until we got back in and saw it was now 21-7 Iowa.  Michigan comes back to win and goes on to win the national championship.

Worst: Michigan OSU. Don't remember the year and don't care. Michigan up almost the whole game...just remember Carr settling for a field goal, OSU scoring a TD to win it very late.  Tried to forget everything about it.

Worst was first game I attended, Ricky Foggie and the Minnesota Golden Gophers upset us when we were ranked #2, in the rain, think it was "85

Best was my sons first game, first ever OT game at the Big House, sent Joe Pa home sad, think it was "03

Long day at work, little foggy on dates, will be drinking shortly...

Best: Notre Dame Desmond stretch catch from Elvis Grbac on 4th down

Worst: tied -

Michigan loss vs. Wisconsin Rich Rod era, Wiscy smash mouth ran it down our throats every down

Michigan loss vs Florida State at Michigan, Amp Lee, we got scorched

Three way tie for best:

1997 Rose Bowl (What can i say - just kept yelling "we did it, we did it")

2004 MSU (Loudest by FAR the big house has ever been- place was shaking)

2006 Notre Dame (Best true road game ever-tailgated with parents of Henne, Long & Rivas outside stadium - the players all joined us post-game)

Three way tie for worst

2007 App State (because obviously)

2012 Alabama (could've name it Kicked your ass Classic)

1989 Miami (up by three scores with less than 8 minutes to go over #1 team in the country)

Best: UTL, 2011 OSU, Braylonfest, Sugar Bowl, 2012 MSU

Worst: 2016 OSU, App State, 2015 MSU, 2017 MSU, 2012 Nebraska

Sad that my best games have been with Hoke and most of the worst are Harbaugh

Best: 2019 MSU game. We had so much fun. Also,1997 OSU game. What a game that was!

Worst: Agreed, the 2007 Appalachian State game. Still can’t believe it happened but you’re right - it was the beginning of some very tough years.
The 2016 OSU game was also a heartbreaker - not because WE lost it. Because it was stolen from us. I’ll never forget Urban running up and down the sideline exhorting the crowd. Dang, I still loathe that guy.

BEST: The Game 2017

WORST: The Game 2003

Only only other time I've been to the Big House was The Game in 2009; probably one of the most unremarkable, forgettable, meh games in the history of the series.

It was. And the weather was more dreadful. But '07 is slightly more memorable than '09 because it was the last of Lloyd's tenure and 48 hours prior to the official announcement of his retirement. The last for Hart/Henne & crew. Plus Beanie carried 39 times.

Those are things I remember about '07. Can't say that there's anything that stands out as much from the '09 game.

Fuck it, basketball edition

Best: Kansas S16, Florida E8, A&M S16, FSU E8, Simpson triple double vs OSU, Beilein home win over Duke, Stauskas over OSU big ten tourney 2014, unc beatdown at home

Worst: went to every single MSU game the season they swept us 3-0. Absolutely fucking brutal. OSU loss right when people wanted Beilein gone (shitty game, but kickstarted his elite last 2.5 years that cemented his legacy), various road and big ten tourney losses to OSU that I can't even differentiate in my head
