Everyone knows the moon is made of cheese. My grandson even said so this weekend, and I knew that 50 years ago.

I'll take 'What is a Lawyer' for $100, Alex...

Great coaches worry greatly…

Great coaches worry greatly about what they are called, and how they are addressed. Well, apparently. Kudos to you, Mr. Softbatch Cookie Coach guy.

Wow...from the OP through…

Wow...from the OP through the comments up to 6ish am, I can't help but wonder where the rest of OT season will take us. What a cornucopia of conversation.

From one peninsula to…

From one peninsula to another...bring 'em on up!

Warde is the standard…

Warde is the standard deviation on each side of the curve. Never in the middle. Coach May? Right side - good job. Now try to stay away from that left side, Warde.

After.losing their RB coach…

After.losing their RB coach to the good guys, this was a predictable move

Sorry Bo, but need fact…

Sorry Bo, but need fact before making a rash judgement. To me it is far greater to show grace and leadership before issuing blanket firing. Sure, he broke a law, but he hasn't even been arraigned. If all was as has been reported (barely over the limit, compliant and cooperative), I think it's better to show people can make a mistake and earn their way back into good standing.

CAVEAT: I am not an insider…

CAVEAT: I am not an insider. I know nothing. The following is my opinion only.

I've felt since Warde gave his support for Juwan several weeks ago, after the kerfuffle at practice, that this was Warde not firing a coach within the season, rather to play out the string, and make a move in a quieter time. That said, my opinion is that Juwan will get the firm handshake and encouragement to find his landing spot and make the move 'for [insert reasons here] reasons' of his own accord. We'll then all wish him well, because he will always be part of the Fab 5, and then the real searchbits begins.

I agree with this completely…

I agree with this completely. I felt the same regarding Sanderson - that there was no way was going to stay. I still feel like Warde is too afraid to fire Juwan mid-season, just to keep the attention to a lesser level, ie firing after the seasons end, optics are about performance, and the kerfuffle is only a brief bullet point in the dossier, where mid-season firing, it's all about Juwan gone wild.

If UM WBB played away (Dug-less) UM MBB, who would win? Would anybody care?

Nice game for Clark. Is it softball season? When do the Olympics start? Oh crap...that madness thing is still coming yet. Sigh...

Whether the thought is Warde…

Whether the thought is Warde is dumb, or great, an AD can't expect to say to the public that he is saving money on his shiny new coach. Shiny new coach would not like the sound of that and might SMASH him.

Rabbit hole: I'm going to use 'smash' whenever possible. 'Honey, let's go x for dinner...', 'SMASH!'  'Honey - want to go sit in the hot tub?',    'SMASH!'   It works. Thanks Coach!

Positive: Team overachiever,…

Positive: Team overachiever, youthful execution by players and staff, should be a tremendous learning moment that hopefully catapults the team to a several year run as a division winning playoff team.

Emotional: Gah....kick the field goals and we are in the Sooooper Boooooowl!!!! *$@&!!!!

The Lions…

Agree with this.

The Lions are young, and this game also highlighted weaknesses in experience, roster talent, and game management. All of which I expect will improve in the years ahead.

Touché...well, Sherrone 1 - Day 0. I'd say you can pick the base 😉

My own observation, which…

My own observation, which could be completely off target, is that Harbaugh sees the NFL and college arenas very differently. The college job allows coached to build their rosters with the players they choose, so being wanted by the players and school matters, especially when facing a league structure that can throw spitball allegations at a coach and drive unfettered punishment. In the NFL, it's more about control over a roster that is selected by your boss. The league isn't a concern like the NCAA because the rules are more refined and the the league is nothing if not fair in doling out discipline. Very different employment characteristics that Harbaugh well understands, and is trying to maximize.

Sorry, was playing a stupid game and got carried away.

Dennis, while I never…

Dennis, while I never experienced abuse first-hand, my mother and sister both went through their own traumas, which affected them deeply, but also was deeply impact full to how I grew up and who I am today. To see someone go through the depths and make it out alive and to have what seems to be a really good life is simply remarkable. I am very happy that you have been able to navigate through this life of yours and reach the point of being able to share this in any kind of public forum. Few do. While the topic is uncomfortable, I thank you for sharing it, and I hope it helps others in their own journeys. This topic doesn't have to be uncomfortable, it also doesn't define you, but it seems you know that as well. While we haven't met, or really interacted in any other way than being fans and visiting a blog site, I am proud of you and wish you only the best.

By corruption, you mean 'fairness'. You are forgiven. It's a simple concept to misinterpret.

They actually did, but he wanted to phone a friend...

Well, Martelli is a former…

Well, Martelli is a former head coach, so pretty easy to.slap an interim tag on him fornthenrest of.the season. Also extends an olive branch of sorts to Juwan as there is plenty of NBA season left if he wants to return to that arena.

I dropped Biff Poggi's name in another thread about potential AD's...maybe he can just be the culture fix-it guy for MBB like he was for FB?? It could work...and it's fun to say his name.

Poggi for AD! I mean, he set…

Poggi for AD! I mean, he set the direction for the culture in the fb program, imagine him coaching the coaches and hiring for that same culture...get his a bevy of admin wizards to navigate the rest of the role.

Thanks, themostbrian. Your sentiment is appreciated, and respected. Everything a rival deserves.

They'll have disdain for him…

They'll have disdain for him until the future 'Edge1' documentary comes out on Netflix, then they will realize what a great guy he is and how misguided they were in their disdain. I suspect this because I may have harbored some fan-based angst about Kirk Cousins, then watched QB1. It could happen.

The only real irritation I…

The only real irritation I had with the broadcast was that I had two screens showing the game, one in each of two neighboring rooms. One uses a roku, the other a firestick, and I had to mess with pausing the roku from time to time because the Amazon/yttv feed was a tad behind the roku/yttv feed. All that to say, the booth was not annoying, so, okay.

When does 'Michigan Monday'…

When does 'Michigan Monday' get published? A day late after a holiday, like the trash, right?

That should be the honorary…

That should be the honorary name of the MGoBlog forum, I think.

'The Blake Corum Forum'?

'The Blake Forum'?

Other ideas???

Sorry for your loss, and…

Sorry for your loss, and glad you and your sister could share that moment, and those emotions together. God is great, and so is Michigan football!

Smells like Saban trying to curry popular favor, and plant seeds with the officiating crew.

They're all the same - either false-insiders, or shills. If they wrote something that came to pass, they were lucky. As for posters, there are posters (here, except those that were run off)), and posers (everywhere else).

Could be a great/tough place. Cap/owner support are great, total rebuild/super high.expectation fan base, tough forsure...best to stay in A2.

Great highlight from a…

Great highlight from a sophomore!

In the spirit of the boards OT, pedantic nature, shouldn't 'truck stick' be hyphenated? ie 'truck-stick'? If you were referring to this play a week later, would it then be, 'player x truck-stuck' the LB', or does the tense change this to 'the LB was trucked'?

Alright, kidding over...time to go to work. Keep making highlights young Mignery, making a bunch of us feel old, and commit to the good guys next year.

Watched this and came away…

Watched this and came away feeling better about how everything went down. I love Barry, but had a long-held chip on my shoulder about how he chose to leave the team. After watching the doc, it makes better sense, and took away most of that hurt. I do wonder if this was done as part of the organizations effort at repairing the relationship and helping him prosper a bit more than he otherwise may have been. Something like this maybe for Calvin in the future as well? That would be a great watch as well. Love both their highlight reels!

HMK10yr BIB is a great…

HMK10yr BIB is a great bottle for the dollar, and can be found in the wild. Blanton's was a fun quest (collected all the toppers and had them mounted to a stave for display), but I am on to a new quest - attaining all 10 recipes from Four Roses in their single barrel distillers select bottles, but I digress. For the overall value, it is tough to beat Russels 10yr. Found in tax-light states for low $30's, and drinks well neat, or mixed in your favorite cocktail.

I agree with this thought…

I agree with this thought. Further, I think any team beyond a 5 seed would be an absolute unicorn to win it all, so the care about the first team or two out will be like your 5 year old brother being left off the Jr high pickup football game.

Treat this like early season…

Treat this like early season games. Score early and often, get the starters out as quickly as able.

While it's not the news we…

While it's not the news we all want, I wonder if this is just a shrewd play by Ono. Extending Jim now is a middle finger which could draw the ire of the investigators. The shrewd play hypothesis is letting the investigation peter out, then extending coach, is a more polite, and acceptable way, to extend our coach.

I agree, though that isn't…

I agree, though that isn't Urban's MO. He builds a winner, then gets out when he see the end of winning approaching. He's really just a great consultant - leave before the results change, then you are never to blame.

I agree with the overall…

I agree with the overall premise. We've seen how the 'rivalry' with sparty has devolved, and it's a slippery slope with the bucknuts. I'd just as soon see our rivalries play out like an MMA bout - two guys beating each other bloody, but true respect when the bout is over.

I don't know, I mean…

I don't know, I mean Gerdeman sounds a lot like many of our beat writers sounded after JT was short. Frankly, if the roles were reversed, he sounds exactly what I'd expect MGoBlog to sound like...and Balas...Sam...Hole. And after reading what coach Harbaugh said in today's presser about the rivalry, I'd go along with a more respectful rivalry. I want our teams to show up every year undefeated, everything on the line and may the best team win, but I digress. Gerdeman? Meh, he's just doing what we'd expect. No harm, no foul, and best of all, not much positive for him to write about.
