Team has quit.

Juwan, while I liked the idea of him, is obviously not working out on both on an off the court.

Warde is still a coward and UM deserves a leader, not a desk jockey suit.

I'm not watching, but just for reference, this Rutgers team lost by 17 to Maryland in nj in their last game. We're down by 15 in a half.

Who should we take first next year in the draft????

What will Howard have to do next year to keep his job? Finish .500, make the NIT, make the NCAA. I think the bar will be set low for him next year. May be .500 overall and at least a .400 conference record. If no improvement, then he will probably be a goner at the end of the 2024-2025 season.

Honestly, if Howard comes back next year, prepare to see an empty Crisler. We look like we don't belong on the same court as Rutgers.  Fucking embarrassing performance after embarrassing performance.  Making the worst offense in the NCAA look like the prime Golden State Warriors

Remind me again why he can’t be fired mid season? OSU has a better roster but since firing their coach the team has played much better. This is a complete embarrassment.

It's one thing to be bad (and this team may be the worst we've ever had) but it's an even greater sin to be just plain boring. Beilein had some bad teams, God knows Michigan football in the 2010's had some bad, bad teams. But there was at least SOME entertainment value. This team isn't fun to watch. The players looks miserable, they play miserable, the most exciting player is Dug, and he's probably the 9th best starting PG of the last 10 Michigan point guards. The program needs to be turned over entirely, which is a damn shame to waste all of the good Beilein did for this program for over a decade; totally trashed in the span of 5 years

I’m a Dug fan I think he has the skill to be better than Simpson and Dwalt. it is just nearly impossible to be successful as an undersized guard when no one else on the floor can create any kind of offense for themselves or make a three consistently. Put Simpson on this team and I don’t think there is any difference.

Fire him now. This IS Howard's team. It's the result of his bad coaching, his bad recruiting, his bad roster management, and his bad player development.

If so, he'd have taken another job.  It's been four years since Cleveland fired him, and there have been plenty of opportunities if he wanted them.  It's safe to say at this point that he's done.

Fortunately, there are plenty of good coaches out there.  We don't have to hire someone with prior Michigan ties.  Beilein didn't have any when we hired him in 2007.

At this point I just don’t see how Warde could justify keeping Juwan at the end of the season. The team has gotten much worse, the team clearly has no concept of fundamental bball, the roster has been constructed by Howard who had no B plan if his top guys couldn’t get admitted and he doesn’t even play the young guys.

The only thing we had left was hope. Hope that changes would be made to give us a chance to start over. Howard coming back eliminates it entirely.

OSU fires their guy, giving them a couple months to find someone to get on board. I know we'll fuck it up.

Normally, if the opposing team had a 6 minute scoring drought over the first 26 minutes, wouldn't you expect to be leading or at least in a tight battle?

Instead, we haven't been within 20 since early in the 2nd half
