i'm watching it as well. as much as i think teams should go for it on 4th down (and so do many number crunchers), i wouldn't have there. but... rice misses the field goal and proves one of their points

I just don’t think against good athletes like Michigan has their offense will work. Beating Rice (who lost 11 games last year) isn’t something to write home about.

Army should play up to their skill level, which isn't high enough for us to worry about. They are disciplined; but, we will beat them in all facets of the game, including execution. Not worried at all.

One of my former students is a starter on defense for Rice so I am definitely watching. Very impressed so far.

The defense has been pretty solid, a few big plays here and there, but not bad. Their defensive coordinator was on Michigan's staff just a couple of years ago.
