Are you taking Penn St or Minnesota? LSU or Bama?
Figured since it was an upcoming bye week there can be some discussion about the two big games next weekend.
Penn St is gonna rock Minnesota, PJ Fleck’s candy ass team will be exposed, 38-13 Penn St.
I think Bama still manages to win Saturday even with a not 100% Tua. LSU’s offense will be slowed down and Bama puts together a 6 min 4th quarter drive to put the game away. 27-16 Bama.

Penn St, have to wait on Tua's status but prob going with LSU
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:10 PM ^
Are you kidding? It's Minnesota over Penn State, prior to 9windiana over PSU. Penn State beats OSU, then when we beat OSU we play for the conference championship. Yes, I'm saying there's a chance!

...you’re crazy, but I like you
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
Speaking of Indiana, I dont think most fans see what's going on over there. That's going to be a scary game in 3 weeks.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
What’s going on over there?
The bigger news is, Northwestern is 1-7. Yikes.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:55 PM ^
No we’ve seen it. MSU scores 40(!?) on them. 40.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:56 PM ^
Indiana lost to sparty. I'm not afraid of either this season.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:04 PM ^
Indiana is always annoying and they are half decent this year but they have so far this year:
been shelled by PSU 52-10, lost to MSU 40-31
beaten no teams with a record above .500
beaten 0-9 eastern Illinois, 1-7 Northwestern, 2-7 Rutgers for three of their wins.
sounds like same old Indiana to me.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
Penn State still goes to Indy in this scenario. We needed Penn State to lose to MSU. Now we need all of what you said plus PSU losing to Rutgers.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:51 PM ^
Penn state already beat the crap out of MSU
edit misread as we need MSU to beat penn state
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
Well......
That game was actually closer than that. Michigan St's big problem was turnovers.
November 3rd, 2019 at 7:53 PM ^
That game wasn’t really close. Don’t let the stats fool you on that.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:08 PM ^
Penn St needs to lose 3 for us to have a chance.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:57 PM ^
While unlikely they could absolutely lose their next 3. Minn and IND are no slouches. Obviously OSU should beat them.
November 3rd, 2019 at 5:08 PM ^
How? Wouldn’t Penn State win the tie breaker with us in this situation? Genuine q — can’t remember if only division loss counted for tiebreaker.
November 3rd, 2019 at 5:18 PM ^
Ultimately - ANY scenario that gets U-M to Indianapolis requires either:
(1) Maryland or Rutgers to defeat OSU (the 2nd loss for OSU if OSU beats PSU) or
(2) Rutgers to defeat PSU (the 3rd loss for PSU if PSU beats OSU).
--------------
Either 1 or 2 isn't sufficient, but it is necessary.
---------------
Another thing that can be said: no combination of events this weekend fully eliminates U-M from B1G East contention.
November 3rd, 2019 at 5:35 PM ^
Yup. That would be quite the turn of events. FiveThirtyEight lists Michigan as having a <1% chance of winning the conference, even if we do end up win out.
November 3rd, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
If Rutgers DOES help get U-M to Indianapolis - they would have re-paid all debts, in full.
Nobody ever allowed to talk about kicking them out of the B1G again!
November 3rd, 2019 at 6:47 PM ^
It makes me sad that there's almost no chance any one of those things happens, let alone all of them

November 3rd, 2019 at 6:08 PM ^
If Minnesota beats PSU and moves to 9-0, Fleck will be poached at the end of the year. He'll be an incredibly hot candidate.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:13 PM ^
Minnesota needs to beat Ped State U. Somehow we have to find a way to win this division
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
PSU still wins the division in this scenario. Unless you think Rutgers has any chance of beating PSU.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
Grand Valley vs Ferris State this Saturday too.
Tony Annese is a great coach, I'm not sure Matt Mitchell has the chops to beat him. Go Lakers!
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:44 PM ^
Great coach but a shitty person (so like many great coaches).
November 3rd, 2019 at 8:40 PM ^
Is there something in the water most Michigan fans drink that makes them the moral judges of all that is good and evil??
Seriously--the planks in the eyes around here are HUGE
November 18th, 2019 at 4:27 PM ^
MSU sucks, asshole.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
I like the Gophers on the frozen tundra of November. I don't know how good Minny is but PSU is not really a top 5 team and I think they've been living on borrowed time.
As for the other, I love Orgeron but it's hard to pick against Saban.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:21 PM ^
Penn State may seem a little bit fraudulent, but Minnesota seems completely fraudulent. I figure they lose two of their next three, now that they are playing decent teams.
November 3rd, 2019 at 6:05 PM ^
Oh, I think Minny is also fraudulent. But at home, a fraud can still rise to the occasion.
November 3rd, 2019 at 8:30 PM ^
I think too much is being made of the PSU-Minniesoda game, it's not even the biggest game in the West Division that day. The winner of Iowa-Wisconsin will beat Minniesoda and go to the conference championship game.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
Rooting for Minnesota and LSU. Think Penn State and Alabama.
Neither will be a blowout though. Penn State isn’t good enough to blow Minnesota out.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:59 PM ^
Maybe Minnesota will catch a break and have it snow or something.
I would really, really, like to see PSU lose. I don't think they're a top 5 team.
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:37 PM ^
I don't know. Even for native Minnesotans, shit can go terribly wrong in the snow in the Twin Cities...
November 3rd, 2019 at 4:43 PM ^
I think PSU beats Minnesota by at least 17. Maybe bad weather keeps it close. Fleck and FRANKLIN are =. Talent not close.
November 3rd, 2019 at 7:24 PM ^
I’d love to see them lose too I’ll be rooting for it
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:21 PM ^
PJ’s boat gets rowed. They haven’t played anyone good, at all.
November 3rd, 2019 at 7:47 PM ^
Tedford's Fresno team isn't bad....Beat them on a road trip to Cali.
Georgia Southern just beat a ranked and previously undefeated Appalachian State.
Blew out a probable Bowl Team Nebraska on the road.
November 3rd, 2019 at 8:08 PM ^
But that doesn't mean they aren't good. They should be only slight underdogs in SP+ when you account for home-field advantage. I don't think PSU is that good, but Minnesota is a total wild card. Who knows. But I'll go with them since it's at home.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
Penn State and LSU. However, I wouldn't be shocked if I went 0 for 2.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:28 PM ^
Actually, I am thinking exactly the opposite. Minny beats PSU and LSU beats Alabama.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:30 PM ^
Minnesota may not be great but they are not candy asses. Go GOATphers!
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:46 PM ^
Minnesota may not be candy asses but their schedule has been full of them.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:36 PM ^
I think Minnesota wins. That’s just how it’s gonna be.
November 3rd, 2019 at 3:39 PM ^
Fleck > Franklin
Plus Alabama. (At home and a slightly better defense.)
