Anybody else want to make a statement vs Wisconsin?

Because I do...

Screw you and that damn basketball team of yours as well.  I hope die a slow, painful, football game type of death on Saturday afternoon.

The timing is interesting indeed.

Despite reading through the entire RR era, I never efforted to contribute because I didn't want to simply pile on. So the first time I considered contributing was the week OSU went into The Game as a dog. But then I frustratingly found out that new accounts that week aren't able to immediately contribute (wise move!), so I never did contribute and I let it go.

I continued to read through the Hoke years, but I still didn't want to pile on so my first contribution wasn't until the beginning of the 2017 season. And even then I forgot I had already established an account.

So in order to not be a total jerk, I waited to create an account until OSU was a dog and didn't start to contribute until it appeared (at the time) that the two programs were about as even as they had been since Lllllloyd.

Don't intend to create a new account this year. But thanks anyway. ;-)  Maybe next decade.

As someone who now lives in Wisconsin, I have one statement:

IT'S PRONOUNCED "BAG" AND NOT "BAYG," YA DINGUSES.

No, but I’d like to make a statement about making statements.  You don’t say you are going to make a statement, it’s called playing well and winning the damn game!  Then if you want, you can say after the game that “we wanted to make a statement”.

I worked with a guy from Cudahy, WI for a couple of years.  Nice guy, but he had a horrible nervous twitch.  That and he kept rolling rental cars.

The University of Wisconsin is a sad existence. They had a coach up and quit on them to go to Oregon State. They have no in-state rival and still have to settle for three-star recruits. They have no threat in the West and still sometimes lose to Pat Fitzgerald or Kirk Ferentz. Their rival is Minnesota which is not worthy of a rivalry. They don't even have the best trophy that Minnesota plays for. Or maybe their rival is Iowa but Iowa hates Iowa State and now Nebraska and for some reason they also hate Northwestern. Wisconsin has had their moments but no national titles in football and one in basketball from 1941.

Their stadium, campus, and city are nice and hopefully that keeps them warm at night in the cold, lonely winters.
