Michigan brats > Wisconsin brats.
September 18th, 2019 at 10:57 AM ^
I love MI too, but that's a bad take. Though Michigan beer > Wisconsin beer
September 18th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
Michigan Wine > Wisconsin Wine
September 18th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
Michigan is one of the best, if not THE best state for beer. Wisconsin has big corporate breweries that put out mediocre beer, Michigan is craft beer heaven, so yea.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
I like beer.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
Front range in Colorado definitely rivals Michigan I would put them 1 and 2.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
I was born in Detroit so always a big fan of things Michigan... but if you want to experience craft beer heaven, I'll show you around Colorado sometime.
September 18th, 2019 at 1:00 PM ^
You’re both wrong. For elite craft breweries, Vermont and California are better.
September 18th, 2019 at 4:53 PM ^
I understand the Vermont sentiment. But strenuously object to CA being better than OR or CO -- that's Dantonio-level disrespekt right there. When anything from Firestone makes the beeradvocate's list of top rated beers, there's no credibility there.
September 19th, 2019 at 4:44 AM ^
Number of craft breweries by state, top 5 in order: California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Michigan. (from https://www.statista.com/statistics/726518/number-craft-breweries-state/ )
September 19th, 2019 at 11:28 PM ^
Considering Cali has what 40 MM people and Colorado has 6 MM people, of course the NUMBER of craft breweries is going to be higher.
Don't mistake QUANTITY for QUALITY.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
dilly dilly
September 18th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Michigan has great beer and some of my individual favorites ever, but Oregon blows Michigan (and every other state) away with the sheer numbers of super high quality craft beer of all types. Oregon is truly Beervana.
September 18th, 2019 at 1:48 PM ^
Michigan Girls >>> Wisconsin Girls
...although beer and wine are great equalizers
September 18th, 2019 at 11:04 AM ^
Michigan Beer >> Wisconsin Beer
Edit: Hit save dummy, otherwise someone will beat you to your hot take
September 18th, 2019 at 11:07 AM ^
Spotted Cow is vastly overrated.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:08 AM ^
It's still pretty good though.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:13 AM ^
Yep, just like Oberon is overrated but still really good
September 18th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
I would take Oberon over Spotted Cow any day.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:31 AM ^
I would take whichever one is within arms reach.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:39 AM ^
I am not a fan of Spotted Cow, but this honestly depends on the year for Oberon. Oberon is probably the widest variety year to year of any beer I've seen and some years it is BAD.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:50 AM ^
It will always really be Solsun to me
September 18th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
Lakefront Brewery >>>>>> New Glarus Brewery, IMHO.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
i took a tour of lakefront a few years ago. they did a fantastic job.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:03 PM ^
This is correct, though I would rate Central Waters above both.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:52 AM ^
I disagree. At its very best, Spotted Cow is fine. Its mystique is entirely due to limited availability and nostalgia.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:36 AM ^
Lol. Wisconsin throws some store bought brats in a pan of boiling beer and broth and then grills them and thinks they know what’s up. Lol.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
Question for the board. Is Wolverine milk > Badger milk?
September 18th, 2019 at 1:14 PM ^
I would argue yes on account of personal risk of milking a wolverine >>> personal risk of milking a badger. But... as we all know, you can milk anything with nipples.
September 18th, 2019 at 10:52 AM ^
I like turtles.
September 18th, 2019 at 10:53 AM ^
Rumor has it the UP was thrilled when it was gifted to Michigan and no longer part of the Wisconsin territory.
September 18th, 2019 at 10:56 AM ^
Well, duh...
September 18th, 2019 at 10:58 AM ^
It's very unfortunate though that they're all Packers fans in the UP
September 18th, 2019 at 11:03 AM ^
Given their alternatives, unfortunate for whom?
September 18th, 2019 at 11:28 AM ^
Can't blame them. The vast majority of the UP is far closer to Green Bay than Detroit, and the Lions haven't exactly made a compelling case for fandom in the last 60 years.
September 18th, 2019 at 12:24 PM ^
As a Yooper and a Packer fan, this is absolutely, positively, 100% correct.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:03 AM ^
Actually, as an interesting piece of history, Wisconsin was once part of the Michigan Territory.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:40 AM ^
Yep. And Ohio GM Al Avila traded it to Michigan for Toledo. True story.
September 18th, 2019 at 10:58 AM ^
I like big butts
September 18th, 2019 at 11:16 AM ^
Don't lie.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
You lie!
September 18th, 2019 at 12:04 PM ^
He can't
September 18th, 2019 at 12:41 PM ^
But, surely another brother can deny?
September 18th, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
I could go for some cheese curds and a Spotted Cow.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:10 AM ^
Spotted Cow gets hyped because it's the flagship beer for a brewery that only sells in Wisconsin, but there are several New Glarus beers that are better like Moon Man and Two Women.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:19 AM ^
The New Glarus Octoberfest is their best.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:50 AM ^
I never thought I would say this, but I agree with President Putin. Staghorn is New Glarus' best beer.
September 18th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
I like having Two Women...
