The real problem is that different parts of the site load at different speeds. More than half the time when I see a mildly interesting Board thread, some ad loads its graphics in the split second I'm trying to click on thread (usually leading me to the ad, and thereby informing the internet ad brokers that I apparently want to see more of that type of ad. No. I don't.

The fact that I don't get notifications of responses to posts that take me to my post is slowly driving me insane.

Here's one of mine - you could, at one time long ago, load 300 posts at a go before it would cut to another page. It made "The State Of Our Open Threads" a lot easier to do. I know why this version of the site can't do that, but it still bugs me...a lot.
