agree, BYU will want to run so we can get them in some 2nd and longs and hopefully even 3rd and long, I like the D's chances.

2 that are 6'5 or bigger? yeesh
September 5th, 2015 at 3:43 PM ^
We have tall receivers too - Hoke loved them. Question is can they get seperation.

Horrible decision by Louisville QB on first play..
September 5th, 2015 at 3:45 PM ^
I was wondering how Auburn got down in the redzone so quickly.
I don't have my second and third TVs set up today.

Tommy Armstrong looks good early with pass game (4/4). Maybe their OC is better than Borges in actually developing Qbs.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:46 PM ^
Johnson walks in...

BYU pass defense is bad. That is how you beat them. They tend to win 45-30 type of games as you can throw on them all day.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
Wow Nebraska looked amazing on that drive. BTW it's really a shame we can't have a BYU/Nebraska seperate thread...following multiple games in a single thread is sort of non enjoyable just sayin.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
Its amazing what a good QB will do for you! Armstrong looked great that series. If he can do that all year Neb will be very tough. I have doubts but maybe I am clouded by how Denard could never become a true pocket passer.
Armstrong was a 53% passer last year.

There is something unsettling watching UCLA football. The endzone stands are empty, and the bright sunshine and stark shadows is 180 degrees opposite midwest football Saturday weather.

Westerkamp!

On that Nebraska touchdown. That sprung the whole thing when he reversed the field.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
Can Nebraska keep it up all game?
September 5th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
Well BYU secondary not looking good
September 5th, 2015 at 3:51 PM ^
Horrid tackling by BYU for Neb TD.

64 yd rugby punt for BYU. It's nice we can do that too.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:55 PM ^
Looks like the gameplan is just to make him throw.

I got nothing.
Fun fact: They do have Tucker Tuberville and Will Muschamp's sons both on their roster.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:56 PM ^
Damn, I'd love to still have him on the roster --- wish him all the best.
....and he just gets beat on the slant, lol. Great timing.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:56 PM ^
Virginia's helmets are looking sharp!
September 5th, 2015 at 3:57 PM ^
Louisville QB throws a dart to a freshman Wr who runs a correct route in game 1.
Mind.Blown.

Samsies.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:58 PM ^
Kind of feels like an SEC matchup.
September 5th, 2015 at 3:59 PM ^
Is there a rhyme or reason for using size 6 font on back of Louisville jersey?
September 5th, 2015 at 3:59 PM ^
Or making it in old english text?
September 5th, 2015 at 4:00 PM ^
Westerkamp has a lot of Jeremy Gallon in him.

UCLA TD.
I just love their uniforms.

Blake struggled in the Big 10. With bad QBs and slow wideouts. He will struggle down there too.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:06 PM ^
He may end up looking more like he did as a freshman.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:09 PM ^
They have one of the best DCs in the country and a hell of a DL on paper so those should not be excuses - we'll see how he does. I just think the calibar of player he faces week in and week out will be better. But so will his defense around him then what he had here.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:14 PM ^
So I guess I agree with you, but I still wish we had him. Never was the same after his injury IMO.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:06 PM ^
He struggled in press man.
Which is why everyone is trying to make him a centerfielder and have him play zone over the top.
It just depends on the system, but he can be effective.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:07 PM ^
Did you feel he was "well above average" in zone in 2013? I didn't.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:04 PM ^
Fast LBs on Louisville defense. Must be nice.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:07 PM ^
Taysom Hill with 50 yard bomb.

BYU with 4 play 99 yard drive to even it up. All Taysom Hill.
September 5th, 2015 at 4:11 PM ^
Hill slices Nebraska up through the air and finishes it with his legs
He looks healthy and hasn't had to run much but when he does its obvious he's good at it
