Now that Oakland isn't in play, I hear the Bears and Colts are close to offering Harbaugh.
January 5th, 2018 at 3:22 PM ^
I know you're joking but last night on ESPN 1000 here in Chicago, Michael Wilbon said he had "inside information" from "friends in Ann Arbor" that Jim Harbaugh is all but ready to leave for the Bears. So, the madness continues.
January 5th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
The only thing Wilbon has inside information on are anuses. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
January 5th, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
Wilbon hates Michigan. He'll probably believe any rumor about Michigan as long as its bad news about Michigan
January 5th, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Which means it's unlikely that he HAS any friends in Ann Arbor.

Gruden has some accomplishments but damn he's been out of coaching for 10 years. That's a long ass time to be out of it. This doesn't look like a good decision on a bunch of different levels.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:55 PM ^
Raiders gonna Raiders.
January 5th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
The money is stupid, but I actually think the time away might help. Have you ever been looking for something and distanced yourself from the room to gain a larger perspective and then it's right fucking there, on the damn table?
January 5th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
Nope. Fresh out of experiences like that.
January 5th, 2018 at 6:55 PM ^
Herm Edwards on the other hand? I just don't know. So many lab experiments..
January 5th, 2018 at 2:46 PM ^
He was pretty mediocre in the NFL and now he hasn't coached in almost 10 years. I don't know why everyone is backing up the Brinks truck to try to hire him.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:46 PM ^
January 5th, 2018 at 2:50 PM ^
But he did get Tampa Bay that Super Bowl, which no one else has been able to do.

I'm guessing all Mark Davis can think about is how good Gruden looked pulling that pan out of the oven then.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:49 PM ^
I thought he'd get more than that as far as a year-by-year salary. Ten years is nice.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:51 PM ^
He's not going to finish all ten years but he'll get paid for it.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:52 PM ^
10 years? How many NFL HC's have made it 10 years at the same place in recent history? Bill Belicheck and Marvin Lewis?
January 5th, 2018 at 3:36 PM ^
so there are five out of 32 teams this century already. So more than you thought.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:52 PM ^
First Herm Edwards, now Gruden

There's a lot of stupid money out there.
January 5th, 2018 at 2:58 PM ^
That picture...damn
January 5th, 2018 at 2:59 PM ^
Absolutely disturbing.
January 5th, 2018 at 4:09 PM ^
Right? After Labor Day even!

Baron Harkonnen in the Tulo "what if there was only one haircut" ad? Whoever thought of that deserves a nice bonus.

Since you apparently have $100m to throw around on a guy who hasn't coached in almost a decade, you gonna give some of that taxpayer subsidy money back, or . . .?

WHOA WHOA WHOA What is this socialist China or something?

Raiders will do anything to be relevant.....just don't see them becoming a sustainable upper echelon franchise anytime soon.
