Kudos to you as well for the insight. You were right about him and he has been a joy to watch. Have a great deal of respect for him and what he has accomplished.

I've bet a bunch of people noticed that the run game improved with Drevno on the field. Just curious what advantages that has over Drevno in the box.

after every drive. Being in the booth is for OC's so they can see the defensive formations to make the right play calls, but an O line coach is typically on the field so he can actively teach and coach.

So many negative stories about college athletes/athletics - great to read one about a great positive example. Way to go Karan!

spelled Hogdon wrong.

very nice story. i noted in particular saturday night how he drives so hard when he hits someone. even when his back is to the ground he's still crab walking forward trying bull for more yards. i hope he achieves his academic goals too.

a great player for Michigan. Thank you for sharing MM 14. So great that Karan runs his heart out for the Maize and Blue and represents and personifies Michigan so well.

A joy to watch play. Congrats to all, expecially mom for supporting this young man.
Go Blue.

Karan Higdon is indeed a role model and a true Michigan Man. I know he is inspiring kids to excell in the classroom, the athletic field, and life.

I sure am glad that he flipped from Iowa! Giving him to Ferentz would have been a bad idea... I'd much rather have him running for UM against OSU, than running against UM for Iowa.

every RB that Ferentz does. Guy has an eye for RB talent, that's for sure.

As a three-year resident, I can confirm every word in the above post.
It was one of the most disgusting situations I have ever witnessed, worthy of the Great American Novel.

I'm not disputing that. In fact I said that. My comment was just that it was a disingenuous use of that particular ranking in the article because the ranking derived from a very specific thing (anti-homeless ordinances) but the author lead the reader to think it was about something else (community violence).

Great story and a great young man.
Pretty great mom, too.

What a first class young man. And much credit to his parents and role models. Stay humble and hungry Karan.

What deserves an additional mention is most on this board will remember the battle we had for Mike Webber and the drama that happened on signing day. We lost Webber and ended up with Higdon. A little know Florida running back that was committed to Iowa and THEN switched his committment to Michigan. Many "myself included" were really bummed out that we lost Webber! and ended up taking some a Iowa flip!!! Harbaugh won again!! BOY was I so so so wrong!!!!! This young man has not only turned out to be an awesome running back BUT probably more than anything ....has been EVERYTHING that Michigan stands for!!! #humbled

Agree and Webber won't play much @ OSU with Dobbins ahead of him and his former RB recruiting coach leaving a few days after signing day.
November 6th, 2017 at 10:23 PM ^
And he was a complete asshat in The Game last year. Glad he chose OSU, perfect fit for those chumps.

I agree with everything in your comment, but, if I remember correctly, Higdon flipping to us caused Weber not to commit. That's why these two are indelibly linked. In the end, we got the player who was most enthusiastic about coming to Michigan, and it's great to see that he's realizing his potential on and off the field. Go Blue!

People whine that we aren't getting all four and five star recruits; and then a kid like Higdon comes along and uses the opportunity to keep working hard and improving until he is an undeniable force on the field! GO KARAN and GO BLUE!

man it made me feel old seeing Karan Higdon's childhood playing card and then seeing "2006" on the bottom of it. Was 2006 not like 4 years ago?
