Good point... would pretty sad to see that long of a gravy train end.

I thought the subject of the…

I thought the subject of the OP was talking about quick twitchiness of the athletes. All three of our top WRs seem to be more Braylon-esque rather than Desean Jackson even though 40-wise DPJ prob gives Desean a run for his money.

Our players are probably…

Our players are probably fast but not quick. Got good long speed but a bit bulky compared to these players.

When we get too bulky we get hurt by speed, If we get too light and emphasize quickness then we have a hard time with manballing MSU and Wisconsin.

The top teams are always super tough cause they seem to get the players with both ridiculous size and speed.

I don't know why for some…

I don't know why for some reason I feel like Frost is going to pull this one off. Martinez seems like a baller as a true freshman and now having a full season under his belt might do some things.

Wasn't there a post or…

Wasn't there a post or something that said that only 247's rankings matter? Maybe it was a dream but it seemed like the prospects with 247's rankings ended up performing better.

I was the exact opposite and…

I was the exact opposite and thought Caris had the best chance to be a legit NBA player, dude seems super quick for his size and long. I thought THJ wasn't gonna be a legit NBA player.

Third piazzale michelangelo,…

Third piazzale michelangelo, I could sit there for hours just looking over the city. Last time I was there I sat there from afternoon to night and watched as the buildings lit up as the sun set.

I thought that was the whole…

I thought that was the whole point of getting giant WR's to play last couple of years of PSU ball. With the refs actually calling DPI and the secondary being one of OSU's weaknesses, I would have pretty much launched it everytime I see a one on one.

They gonna be real mad at…

They gonna be real mad at Warner,  can't OC properly and now can't even stay on the same page when lying

Fuck... thats gold

Fuck... thats gold

For as much as it seems…

For as much as it seems people talk about the OL as one functioning unit and the need to get consistent reps with each of the players on the line in order to have a good cohesive performance, in hindsight, it doesn't seem to be a great idea to have two separate coaches for different parts of the OL.

That screen we threw to…

That screen we threw to Gentry, where he went the wrong way? I want that but to Evans.

The thing about him is that…

The thing about him is that he seems so natural out there. His first TD catch was so damn smooth and he looked like he's been playing in the system for years. Maybe some of that is just good football IQ or bad play from Nebraska. Probably both but he seems like a complete natural to me.

Nepotism or not, the line…

Nepotism or not, the line isn't doing the RBs any favors.  The most frustrating part of watching the game is that the coaching staff knew the line wouldn't be good and didn't bother with any counter measures.

ND knew that we had an aggressive line and had those throwback screens ready to go and if Wimbush didn't have trash accuracy we woulda gotten burned a lot worse.

Just wish we woulda ran something like that since their DLine is getting through anyways, at least we might have some bodies going downfield. This was what I assumed to be Chris Evan's bread and butter and what I had thought they meant when they said they were going to use Chris Evans as more of a receiving threat in the summer. There was a serious lack of Chris Evans this game.

Thats what happens when you…

Thats what happens when you have a guard at tackle going against top notch DL. All for having guys that are physically able to make a difference and get them reps during the weaker part of the schedule.

If the OL is getting run over all the same, I would rather have the younger dudes start reaching for the ceiling.

I think the legs show a tremendous difference, not even sure how much you can flex thighs but damn they look like everyday is leg day.

At first thought it was because he was worried about getting biased treatment from refs but who knows at this point

Maybe it will help deter

Maybe it will help deter programs from cheating. The way I see it this is just penalties additional to bowl bans and loss of scholarships.

Watched his Vandy tape and saw a pump fake and then stopped. That's all that I needed. I've been wanting to see our QBs pump fake for over a decade to no avail.

Ah in that case then prob

Ah in that case then prob not. For that highly rated of a recruit to go to Ole Mi$$ (forgive me) makes sense I guess

Unless this guy has a

Unless this guy has a ridiculous amount of baggage, not sure why anybody wouldn't take him even before Wilton announced his transfer. He obviously has talent, starting experience, and more than one year of eligibility.

We played three QB's this year. With the transfer we have Peters, who I admit looked much better than what we were used to, but wasn't exactly blowing the doors off of defenses and Mccaffrey who may be great but still hasn't seen one live game snap.

If the need to play 3 again next year which true freshman is Harbaugh going to throw into the fire?

I hope Mo wins the national

I hope Mo wins the national award so they can show how stupid the b1g is

God damnit I wish this

God damnit I wish this comment wasn't so true

I've bet a bunch of people

I've bet a bunch of people noticed that the run game improved with Drevno on the field. Just curious what advantages that has over Drevno in the box.

Totally agree, I just want to

Totally agree, I just want to see noticeable improvement at this point, instead of regressing. I want to see one of the highest paid coaching staffs be worth their money.

Higdon's been the only back

Higdon's been the only back all year to run hard, sometimes so hard that he gets tunnel vision and tries to run over someone instead of making a quick cut taking it to the house.

Evans likes to bounce bounce and sometimes that gives you a breakthrough, from reports Evans sounds like he would be a great receiving back. He should be the third down back at this point.

That's been frustrating all

That's been frustrating all year is the lack of creative running. Higdon was consistently successful this game running to the outside averaging 5 yards a pop yet the staff chose to run it up the middle against the strength of their defense for demoralizing loss of yards.

If our team is more talented athletically then why run towards to them, if anything with the rainy conditions the chances of their defenses slipping up is probably increased when running outside in space.

Another frustrating thing compared to year one is that Rudock had either the proper instincts or coaching to run for critical first downs when nothing is there, yet O'korn or even Wilton this year dont take the easy yards and slide. Everytime I see, Okorn shoveling an imcomplete pass instead of gaining 3-5 yards, I die a bit inside.

lol was hoping Filiaga fit

lol was hoping Filiaga fit that description

Granted the coaches probably

Granted the coaches probably forgot more about football than I know, but wouldn't it make sense that if you have turnstile OL and RBs to keep your QB farther from the opposing DLine?

Seems to me giving the QB a little bit more time can make all the difference especially when you have supposedly superior talent on the receiving end. And thats even before the empty backfield shotgun formation.

Forgot about pistol and shotgun, any football team ever make for a non pooch punt rifle formation.

To my eyes it seems that

To my eyes it seems that Gentry is better at those things than McKeon, even though Mckeon is still pretty good. Gentry runs like a Gazelle at a ridiculous height.

Need game speed to get the

Need game speed to get the game slowed down for him

They stack the box because

They stack the box because Michigan hasn't been able to have consistently good QB play in what felt like forever.

I'm glad to see the coaches call plays that seem to stretch the edges with Okorn and putting him in mostly shotgun to buy him more time on a shaky line.

Prior to that it seemed like a lot of pass plays called needed to be a 30+ yard pass.

Second. The HD app was so much better I just wished they worked with mgoblog instead of this one

Anybody else think that the

Anybody else think that the stoppage before his first miss messed with his rhythm that continued to his next shorter kick?

Far from an expert but

Far from an expert but watching Filiaga's highlights, he just seems top heavy. Unless he arrives in amazing shape, I sure hope he doesnt win the RT job.

Probably cheap

Thats the same shit that got Grant Newsome, everytime a small guy takes on a big guy that's what happens, it sucks cause he went for extra yards like a damn warrior instead of just falling down.
