Shit, now we really are going to see if the walk-ons can play.
February 21st, 2024 at 12:40 PM ^
Is Selvala still rockin' the porn-stache? If so, at least we've got that to look forward to.
February 21st, 2024 at 8:45 AM ^
I liked him. He was good in the beginning and then with more time under Howard, looked confused and out of place. On a good team, he's a nice piece.
For the nw road game, will we have enough players???
February 21st, 2024 at 10:47 AM ^
Jerod Ward is coming back with some eligibility.
February 21st, 2024 at 12:20 PM ^
…,and promptly blows his knee out for the 23rd time.
February 21st, 2024 at 2:58 PM ^
I’ve never had so much hope for a player and been so disappointed. Maybe Shane Morris or Derrick Green?
February 21st, 2024 at 4:10 PM ^
Dude, I was just thinking that. I can say I have never been more excited about the commitment of a Michigan athlete and more disappointed at his career than Ward. Derrick Green is a very very very close second...maybe 1b to Ward being 1a.

Another person thinking he knows basketball.
February 21st, 2024 at 2:33 PM ^
Another person thinking he knows people who know and don't know basketball.
Another idiot on the internet claiming intellectual or moral superiority.
Lastly, and most importantly, your mom.
February 22nd, 2024 at 8:34 AM ^
“Your mom” is the correct answer to most conversational questions. At dinner, how was the fish? YM! What time is it? YM! Which restaurant is good in Dallas? YM! Did humans land on the moon? YM! Does UM have a basketball team? YM!
The More You Know
February 21st, 2024 at 2:46 PM ^
One more for you... look at his game log. 15-20+ points per game early in the season. turnovers in check.
Look at the past 10+... single digits... he does a lot of the little things, but his game has diminished greatly, and the turnovers speak to confusion.
He is limited a bit offensively, but as an athlete, when the ball is up and down he's impactful. Asking him to post up and shoot deep 2 fadeaways is not a recipe for good outcomes.
He also LOOKS a mix of confused and defeated. Looks like a good teammate and that he's trying but unclear what his role is and short of random spurts, faded thru the year.
February 21st, 2024 at 3:27 PM ^
Geez, maybe his wrist injury contributed a little to that?
February 21st, 2024 at 4:18 PM ^
Could certainly be the case
February 21st, 2024 at 11:38 AM ^
he's the third best player on a good team; the best player on a bad team
February 21st, 2024 at 3:39 PM ^
I think we're going to learn that the wrist has been bothering him for a while.
February 21st, 2024 at 4:54 PM ^
Definitely makes sense.. sucks. Another nail in the coffin that doesn't apparently exist
March 12th, 2024 at 10:11 PM ^
the wrist wasn't responsible for bad defense
February 21st, 2024 at 8:46 AM ^
Sorry we sold you on coming to this dumpster fire Olivier.
February 21st, 2024 at 8:46 AM ^
Sorry to see his college career attached to this season's tire fire, and especially sorry to see it shortened by injury. To those more knowledgeable in basketball than me: Does he have any realistic prospects of playing professionally here or in Europe?
February 21st, 2024 at 9:02 AM ^
He does a lot of great things but doesn’t look like he has a well-rounded enough game to play in the NBA long term. Perhaps he can try to work his way up from the G-League and carve out a niche. I would think he has a long career in Europe ahead of him, though, if it doesn’t work out here.
Seems like a great dude and maybe the worst part of this abominable season is that he had to be a part of it. Would have been an awesome player to have on better Michigan teams of years past.
February 21st, 2024 at 12:05 PM ^
You need a well-rounded game to play in the NBA?
February 21st, 2024 at 2:21 PM ^
You either need one elite skill or you need to be a well rounded player, yes. Nkamhoua definitely doesn't have an NBA level elite skill, so if he's going to make it he needs to be very good at a lot of things.
February 21st, 2024 at 10:26 AM ^
He'll be a star in Finland
February 21st, 2024 at 5:53 PM ^
Then he can come back and be the governor.
February 21st, 2024 at 8:47 AM ^
Too bad for him and too bad for us if this just gives Warde another excuse not to make a coaching change
obviously this season was a disaster before this, but when has Warde ever been guided by obvious facts and logic?
February 21st, 2024 at 8:54 AM ^
Huh? To me, Warde has always been a super pro-active guy who was always quick to get out in front of things and never be caught flat-flooted.
February 21st, 2024 at 9:01 AM ^
So it turns out Fred Jackson has an Mgo account. Who knew?
February 21st, 2024 at 9:41 AM ^
MGoBoard is like MySpace... but newer!
February 21st, 2024 at 10:11 AM ^
If only it had a Top 8 feature and the same technical sophistication.
February 21st, 2024 at 10:34 AM ^
Warde is Gene Smith, but fast!
February 21st, 2024 at 3:29 PM ^
Fred knew.
February 21st, 2024 at 9:27 AM ^
Still cracks me up how many people rip on Warde now because they're sure he won't replace our coach after the season. :-)
(I mean ... there's no chance they're going to fire Juwan during the season. What college basketball team does that, anywhere?).
But sure, I get it. It's Warde's fault for not firing Juwan later.
February 21st, 2024 at 10:37 AM ^
(I mean ... there's no chance they're going to fire Juwan during the season. What college basketball team does that, anywhere?).
Why not? Why not get a head start in the search. Put Martelli as the interim for all I care. This team is historically bad. Unwatchable. It's been progressively worse each season under Juwan. I mean, OSU just fired Holtman and immediately upset #2 Purdue. In addition, that's another team (our rival nonetheless) in the market with a head start. Look, at this point things can't get worse- change is necessary, new energy is necessary. This team's lethargic and has no heartbeat. But, Warde is too incompetent to see this and unfortunately, I see him using Harbaugh's '20 season as an excuse to bring Juwan back for another season.
Here's Warde on Juwan:
“It would be fair to say I have not really thought about any changes in our men’s basketball program at this time,” Manuel said. “It’s one of those things that — I guess I can’t say it any clearer; I want to support Juwan to be successful and have not given any moment or thought of anything about changes at this time. And so my support is of him, of our student-athletes, and our staff.”
February 21st, 2024 at 8:48 AM ^
poor guy. i'm sure he didn't see things going the way it did.
February 21st, 2024 at 8:53 AM ^
Fire Warde.
February 21st, 2024 at 8:59 AM ^
…push him into the dumpster fire
February 21st, 2024 at 9:03 AM ^
Let me just go and watch more Michigan football national championship highlights for the millionth time (doesn't get old fyi)
February 21st, 2024 at 9:07 AM ^
Watched some of the Rose Bowl again last night. I swear it cured my headache.
Team 144 a day, keeps the doctor away.
February 21st, 2024 at 10:16 AM ^
So did I! Its funny - I was at the Title game, so its a little weird seeing the game on tv... the emotion is different. The Rose bowl was so high stress at home... i was standing for the last 1-2 hrs of the game.... losing my mind, one second at a time.
I put it on last night and my wife watched and rolled her eyes. I told her it was an exciting game and I was curious to see how it turned out!!!!
My DVR still has ---- the last 3 year OSU games, the semi and title game this year, and the B10 1-hr "classic" versions too.
February 21st, 2024 at 11:44 AM ^
You're lucky. I had them all, too, but my last 2 DVR boxes have crapped out and were replaced so I got nothin. I'll have to try to record some of the replays.
Now I have no local DVR box anymore, so the recordings are now "on the cloud". So they can't be lost. Too little, too late.
February 21st, 2024 at 12:39 PM ^
I have the last three OSU games. I have the 2022 in the full version. The full version is worth it just for the commentary. My favorite part is right before the 75 yard Edwards run where Klatt says "I have a feeling something big is happen here". That and the look on 3rd base's face when he knows it is over.
February 21st, 2024 at 2:35 PM ^
I'd also add the year in C'bus, in the year 2 ATB (after third base). The commentary about Knowles and his brilliance and why he was brought in and how this is for all the marbles and this is the most important drive and....
there goes the DON AGAIN!!!!
February 21st, 2024 at 9:59 AM ^
And he's loose again!
February 21st, 2024 at 11:50 AM ^
I recorded all the games of the '89 NCAA title run off the air onto VCR, and burned them onto DVD some years later. Quality sucks, but still a fun watch and will get me my basketball fix in this desert island year of roundball.
February 21st, 2024 at 9:08 AM ^
Let's hope he has a successful wrist surgery and is able to recover without any issues.
February 21st, 2024 at 9:11 AM ^
I'm really sorry to see this happen to him. Nkamhoua is a good dude and it really sucks that he came here on the idea of being a #1 option and playing his way into the NBA, and instead he is the face (along with Dug) of the worst Michigan team in 20+ years.
February 21st, 2024 at 10:48 AM ^
NBA? Huh?
February 21st, 2024 at 11:45 AM ^
I didn't say he was going to the NBA now or that it was a realistic thing, just that he was undoubtedly sold on Michigan being a means for him to get there.
February 21st, 2024 at 12:35 PM ^
Gotcha
