Great Sherrone Moore Interview on McAfee's Show
The show is still airing live at the time of this post so you'll have to click the link below and rewind.

Say what you want about McAfee but I've been listening to his podcast since he was doing it out the back of a Uhaul, literally. Cool to see his success, he was one bad man as a punter. Ended his career on his own terms, always respectable. He also endorses vitamins, gives great stories from locker rooms, and does hilarious and non-conventional interviews. It's also very cool that his crew is literally his goofy friends back from high school, hooked his boys up, I love that. An acquired taste, I'm sure, but Pat is my guy.
Edit: Hilarious story, he grew up playing only soccer, didn't play HS football, was a kicker at WVU (I think he got noticed at at a Punt, Pass, Kick competition) and when the Colts were interviewing him for the draft Pat told them he knew how to punt, also. Pat had never punted a day in his life and the first day of Colts practice he had to let the cat out of the bag. Pretty crazy considering he ended up being on the NFL All-Time team.

I don't mind Pat and his "bro" vibes. I think the Aaron Rodgers segment is why a lot of hate gets directed his way.
As a Lions fan, I have a built-in hate for Rodgers, but I actually enjoyed hearing him talk about football. I don't like his non-FB takes on a sports show. Then again, people were already leaving ESPN because of their slanted non-sports takes. Those takes just happened to come from a different standpoint.

Meant to put this here:
Is it just me or is the last few minutes of that segment after the Moore interview something they could send to every Michigan recruit out there?
To have an ohio alum and former player essentially selling the Michigan program is GOLDEN.
From about the 1:49:00 point for about 5-10 minutes.

Edit: Deleted comment because I'm guessing this was referring to Hawk and not McAfee.

Endorsing vitamins is a positive? Don't waste your money at the GNC store, just eat a healthy, well balanced diet. At least, that's what they taught me in medical school
February 1st, 2024 at 1:53 PM ^
Vitamins is his code word for something else, give him a listen sometime.

Thanks for clarifying. Now that he's jettisoned Aaron Rodgers I will give him a listen

My doctor claims Americans have the most expensive urine in the world (because of all the vitamins that go in one hole and out another.)

Would you say we’re pissing excellence? At least a Gatorade
February 1st, 2024 at 2:03 PM ^
I think you have the story wrong. McAfee was a punter in college as well as a place kicker. He was drafted as a punter. The Colts asked if he knew how to hold kicks which is usually the job of the punter.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:08 PM ^
I knew I may have been off, too many vitamins over the years haha. Either way, Pat's rendition of that story is a hilarious listen. Too many hilarious stories to keep straight, honestly.
February 1st, 2024 at 3:41 PM ^
He also had a role in sending RichRod this way ... going 0/2 on FG attempts in a 13-9 loss to Pitt that knocked WV out of the BCS title game

I think it's funny that everyone has their opinions about McAfee based on his media presence. I lived in Indianapolis for several years and became a huge Colts fan, so I primarily think of him as a good kicker from the Colts. The podcast thing in recent years I remember starting from nowhere and he was just zany and loud and fun, so I liked what he was doing.
I still kind of like it, but as he's gotten bigger, I can see why people would think it's too much.

Hate McAfee but like Sherrone.
What a predicament I find myself in.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:20 PM ^
I hate McAfee on college game day. He's the worst and he dominates the discussion. For some reason, though, the few times that his show have been on while I am on the treadmill, I don't hate him. Weird.

100% with you..... hoping someone posts cliff notes of the interview.

Whoa. It looks like he's driving while he's doing that interview and looking straight at the camera. That seems... inadvisable.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:46 PM ^
Unless his camera is reversed or he's calling in from England or Japan, I don't think he's in the driver's seat.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:49 PM ^
You're right. I had assumed that his camera was reversed, but him being in the passenger seat is the more reasonable assumption. My bad.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:59 PM ^
Definitely not driving. A man in his position prob doesn’t drive anymore except from the facility home.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:07 PM ^
Not necessarily true. Harbaugh was known to have driven himself around on recruiting trips.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:52 PM ^
...and on lawn mowers. And around Ann Arbor looking for downed trees to clear.

Wish McAffee would just fall off the earth already. Who likes this guy?
February 1st, 2024 at 1:48 PM ^
If you have hate in your heart let it ouuuuuuut! Maybe you just don't understand the guy....
February 1st, 2024 at 2:09 PM ^
Why does McAfee get so much hate? Personally, I think he comes across as pretty likeable on his show. I find a lot of his stuff to be pretty insightful. He also seems to be fairly even-handed when it comes to Michigan (in fact, some of our rivals' fans call him a Michigan slappy).
February 1st, 2024 at 6:14 PM ^
Didn't he predict michigan to lose like four times in a row at the end of the season?
February 1st, 2024 at 7:04 PM ^
Because he's made an absurdly lucrative career out of being a vessel for Aaron Rodgers' lies and bullshit. And because of the tank tops. He's the sports version of Joe Rogan.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:56 PM ^
he comes across as a total douche, my son says that's his schtick..... he's going for that like me or hate me thing..... hate might be a bit strong, but i'm not a fan at all.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:48 PM ^
Sorry but no, McAfee is a clown. He sucks.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:52 PM ^
McAfee would be a lot more likeable if he would put a fucking shirt on.
February 1st, 2024 at 1:56 PM ^
Sherrone’s smile when McAfee brought up the 32 straight runs in the Penn State game was everything.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:01 PM ^
is there a timestamp when Sherrone is on?
February 1st, 2024 at 2:04 PM ^
What makes the interview great?
February 1st, 2024 at 2:22 PM ^
Sherrone Moore
February 1st, 2024 at 2:23 PM ^
they asked him good questions and he had good answers
i found it interesting and I'm not at all a Macafee fan
February 1st, 2024 at 2:33 PM ^
I thought the exchanges between Pat and Sherrone were entertaining. Pagano said some great things about Michigan. I believe his nephew played for Coach Jim. AJ Hawk bucknut admitted how great our player development was. The best though was when Hawk asked Sherrone what things he was going to carry over in the program from the Harbaugh era and the first thing Sherrone said was the "toughness, blue-collar mentality..." and the look on Hawk's face was priceless. He blinked, lowered his head, and then the look on his face. I just thought it was awesome. It just reminded me of 2021, Hassan and that O Line running it down their throat.
February 1st, 2024 at 3:21 PM ^
Chuck Pagano and the Harbaughs go back possibly before Pagano's Baltimore Ravens' days? Carlo Kemp is Pagano's nephew, and iirc Jim offered Pagano an analyst spot after his time in Indy.
Adam Shefter is a regular as well, so Michigan has always had a voice on that show...and a couple members of McAfee's staff are Michigan/Detroit fans.
I have no problem with McAfee or anyone outside the program doubting the team over the last whatever years...Michigan answered with three straight Big Ten championships and the 2023 National Championship. All rational doubters have been silenced.
Jim Harbaugh will be on tomorrow...
February 1st, 2024 at 2:05 PM ^
It starts about an hour and 15 minutes into the show.

Logged in just to up vote you. Doing god's work. I just went to youtube and found the clipped interview.

Coach Moore is the man. That whole interview was quite affirming. So excited to keep watching him lead our program!
February 1st, 2024 at 2:11 PM ^
After Sherrone, it's almost better to hear Pat talk about how he was blown away with how his preconceived notions were so wrong. Michigan is an impressive place, plenty of smart and cool people. Preach!
February 1st, 2024 at 2:14 PM ^
Haters aside, Michigan gained a lot of national respect this year.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:17 PM ^
Are all the extra guys being paid to be there? They seem superfluous, and not to be really contributing at all. Would the show change without them?
February 1st, 2024 at 2:23 PM ^
Not only a great interview, but post interview, McAfee AND AJ Hawk had great things to say about Moore. Which is surprising, I think thats the most I have heard Hawk say on the show ever.
Good to see Sherrone getting some help amongst the media. Now if he could get some help from his AD. Time will tell
February 1st, 2024 at 3:02 PM ^
AJ was a bad ass! I can’t stand anything OSU, but I’d take a whole team full of AJ Hawk. Now Ryan Days got a bunch of trust fund NIL tough guys. As long as Sherrone keeps the ball bouncing we’re gonna be fine.
February 1st, 2024 at 2:29 PM ^
I'll just avoid any jack off who gives Aaron Rogers a platform and call it a day.
February 1st, 2024 at 6:12 PM ^
There's a good article in The Athletic about the Jets and how terrible the culture is, and Rodgers doesn't do them any favors. He's poison.
