Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor (#1 OT in '23 class) plans to enter Transfer Portal
January 17th, 2024 at 1:24 PM ^
Couldn't beat Grant & Graham...so join them?
January 17th, 2024 at 1:39 PM ^
Iowa is racking up quite the assemblage of players that have been impactful to Michigan's success.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:23 PM ^
What does he have to do with Iowa?
January 17th, 2024 at 2:31 PM ^
I believe he's an Iowa native. A lot of CBs coming in for him to Iowa
January 17th, 2024 at 2:41 PM ^
I believe he originally committed to Iowa before de-committing and switching to Alabama
January 17th, 2024 at 2:48 PM ^
You would think that the fact that Michigan is putting its entire starting offensive line in the NFL next season would be a selling point, though—eh?
January 17th, 2024 at 3:25 PM ^
Yes, but I'm sure he would like to know who his head coach will be next year before making a commitment to transfer there, as he should.
January 17th, 2024 at 3:29 PM ^
What I thought you were going to say is that he wanted to know the license plate of the truck which hit him a week ago Monday.
January 17th, 2024 at 4:57 PM ^
Was he a secret agent playing under cover for Washington?
January 17th, 2024 at 6:12 PM ^
Sure. The head coach of Iowa is a known entity, but what about the offensive coordinator? They're no more settled than Michigan is.
January 17th, 2024 at 3:27 PM ^
Agree and what kid - in their right mind - would want to play on the Iowa offense?
January 17th, 2024 at 5:58 PM ^
Cade and Erick say hi.
January 17th, 2024 at 9:34 PM ^
he said right mind
January 17th, 2024 at 3:58 PM ^
Iowa finished second in his recruitment but he just played us. I think he might be coming here.
EDIT. Wingdings has him going to Iowa. Rats.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:53 PM ^
Yes take him if he’s interested in coming.
on a completely different note and since this is just a snowflake thought that doesn’t warrant a thread….i want the Lions to play Houston in the Super Bowl. Another CJ Stroud vs Aiden Hutchinson matchup would be good for everyone.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:13 PM ^
Obligatory "Aidan" response.
January 17th, 2024 at 4:42 PM ^
I would assume it will be important for him to know if Sherronne is going to be here.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:54 PM ^
he's gotta get past mike macdonald and the other harbaugh first
January 17th, 2024 at 1:25 PM ^
Get em
January 17th, 2024 at 1:25 PM ^
Do want.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:26 PM ^
He'll probably head to Ole Miss to collect some cash and have no pressure to win.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:48 PM ^
I’m going to be honest, that sounds like a pretty good deal if I’m a college football player
January 17th, 2024 at 2:03 PM ^
Yeah but then you have to live in mississippi
January 17th, 2024 at 2:11 PM ^
I get that response is supposed to be a joke and, in a way, insulting to Mississippi; but I have to ask, have you ever been to Oxford? While it is in the middle of nowhere Mississippi, it has a beautiful campus and frankly, some of the hottest Co-eds you've ever seen.
So, If you are young, a good athlete, getting paid big NIL $$, why don't go to a warmer climate that is littered with some of the hottest women you'll find on any college campus?
January 17th, 2024 at 6:00 PM ^
Novel idea....
January 17th, 2024 at 7:16 PM ^
One of my buddies went to another SEC schools and visited Oxford and he said it felt like the most racist place he's ever visited
January 17th, 2024 at 7:56 PM ^
Been there a few times and I agree.
Tailgating at the Grove is legendary. And yes, hot friendly ladies. Good times.
January 18th, 2024 at 7:25 AM ^
because it's in Mississippi? duh.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:25 PM ^
And that's worse than Alabama how?
January 17th, 2024 at 1:57 PM ^
He'll go to Iowa
January 17th, 2024 at 6:51 PM ^
Proctor has played as a true freshman so this isn't a pay for play situation as there's a body of work. Michigan too should be firing the money cannon for players like this, no?
I mean this is Michigan for God's sake.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:26 PM ^
makes sense. having a head coach who holds the joe moore award must be a turnoff
January 17th, 2024 at 1:33 PM ^
Yeah, but why settle for a coach with one Joe Moore award when you can come and play for a coach with TWO of them?
January 17th, 2024 at 1:43 PM ^
I dont think he's eligible for the NFL yet
January 17th, 2024 at 1:50 PM ^
+1 underrated.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:53 PM ^
How dare you. Take my +1
January 17th, 2024 at 1:39 PM ^
Maybe he likes run blocking
January 17th, 2024 at 1:58 PM ^
The only reason they won is Michigan already won it back to back. That line was not the best in the country.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:01 PM ^
I don’t believe we were even finalists.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:44 PM ^
Wild. On field test says different. I love me some Edwards and Corum but the holes would put your mom to shame.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:26 PM ^
That's pretty surprising. I wonder if he just doesn't like Deboer or a new OL coach he's bringing in.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:38 PM ^
cough cough tampering cough cough
dude could pull a pretty penny on the open NIL market. Coach left so he can enter the portal late even though the winter portal season is over. My guess is he's looking to get paid and there's enough change at Bama that you may as well see what's out there...
January 17th, 2024 at 1:45 PM ^
Sure... but also there's no reason NOT to enter the portal. He could end up staying at Alabama, but this is a way to see what others are selling, and what Alabama's best offer is. It's keeping his options open.
January 17th, 2024 at 1:51 PM ^
Jeepin has the right idea. I don't understand why more players don't just always put their name in the portal each and every year. Most coaches effectively do just that they just use a call to their agent (or more likely they accept calls from their agent).
January 17th, 2024 at 1:54 PM ^
Until there are real contacts it's the only way a player can get leverage.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:43 PM ^
Because if nobody takes you there is a risk you lose your scholarship.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:19 PM ^
Yeah, good point. I hadn't thought of that. It's a new era of money flowing to the players, and a guy like him has a lotof value.
January 17th, 2024 at 2:39 PM ^
Money/Value is one part of the equation. For some players it might be the only part, but some kids in the portal might have really liked their coach who left. Some may want to win nattys, so they come to Michigan. Some may hate the town that they liked as a 17 year old high school kid. For this kid maybe he's just too far from home...
