https://tuscaloosathread.com/tuscaloosa-police-arrest-elijah-pritchett/
Alabama football redshirt freshman Elijah Pritchett was arrested by Tuscaloosa Police Wednesday night.
Pritchett was charged with knowingly passing on a sexually transmitted disease according to a report by the Tuscaloosa Thread. He was later released on a $500 bond.
The offensive lineman has appeared in all 13 games this season for the Crimson Tide, but mainly in a reserve or special teams role. Early in the season, Pritchett was fighting for the left tackle starting job with Kadyn Proctor.

Nothing to see here.

If you break out a microscope, then you can see something.

If that's a penis then avatar checks out.

Nothing to see? I disagree. Let's get Allan Haller on the line and ask him if it raises player safety concerns.

Until it burns when that person pees.

And they will address this in the off season

Gonna have to sit against mighty Chattanooga next year maybe?

For a quarter.

Just has to come out of the tunnel behind everyone else.
December 21st, 2023 at 1:55 PM ^
unintended consequence to this suggestion of discipline: everyone else will be nervous, likely sprinting out of the tunnel at that point.
December 21st, 2023 at 2:20 PM ^
Pritchett hoping punishment doesn't include discharge
December 21st, 2023 at 2:13 PM ^
Sounds like he went into the tunnel behind everyone else.
December 21st, 2023 at 3:15 PM ^
Has to carry his own bag on AND off the bus.
December 21st, 2023 at 5:22 PM ^
I bet that'll be tricky since I doubt anyone let’s him come in a tunnel for a while.
December 21st, 2023 at 1:38 PM ^
I think you're way off on this. He'll be impacted by the Bama game against Mercer. Chattanooga's not on the schedule in '24.

If he were in the B1G this would be the 2nd biggest scandal in its history!

I'm not sure about this. There's a rumor going on that - during our tailgates - we've offered refreshments and "bites to eat" - to both former players and families of both current and former players.
If this caused additional anxiety because of unwritten NCAA guidelines and By-Laws, my sincere apologies.
So, the scandal associated with our tailgate - may, in fact - be right behind cheeseburgers.
As a point of reference, we also serve cheeseburgers regularly at our tailgates. My sincere apologies of the Michigan faithful.

This year I went and took video of another team in my 10 year old's league. It's the biggest scandal in OCYFL history!

I mean.... haven't we all been clamoring for due process over the past few months? I understand there's a difference between criminal acts and advanced scouting, but alleged is alleged and due process is due process.
December 21st, 2023 at 12:51 PM ^
How reasonable of you.
December 21st, 2023 at 12:54 PM ^
Lol I think the point is that we didn't really get due process so nobody else should, either.
December 21st, 2023 at 12:58 PM ^
Sure. But asymmetric application of due process is neither fair nor just.
December 21st, 2023 at 4:01 PM ^
In courts of law and actual B1G/NCAA proceedings, yes.
In the court of jokes and unserious, whimsical MGoBlog ridicule, no.
December 21st, 2023 at 9:59 PM ^
So you are saying that, unlike the cited interaction, we should not shoot first and ask questions later.
December 21st, 2023 at 12:44 PM ^
He'll sit out the first series of warmups at the playoff game.
December 21st, 2023 at 1:10 PM ^
Whether he is suspended for the game or fully available, it won't make one bit of difference. He played something like 85 offensive snaps total this season.
He played 25 snaps against Arkansas and gave up 2 sacks. Against UGA, Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee, he played 0 offensive snaps and only saw time on special teams.
At most, he'll be on ST against Michigan.

Just no STD vs Michigan please

Special Teams-Defense?

Put him at FB. Nobody will want to touch him, so he’ll get to the end zone on every carry.
December 21st, 2023 at 2:19 PM ^
Reminded me of this for some reason.

Could it ever be a starter.
December 21st, 2023 at 2:46 PM ^
For all we know he gave it to a starter.

Football aside, this is insanely messed up. I’m not typically one for harsh prosecution, but this is next level horrific and warrants an equally harsh punishment if true.
December 21st, 2023 at 1:24 PM ^
What are you referring to when you say "this" is insanely messed up? I couldn't find a single detail about the incident other than the headline.
December 21st, 2023 at 3:20 PM ^
The charge itself. Intentionally transmitting an std regardless of whether or not it’s aids to some easily curable one is deplorable. I’m not trying to virtue signal at all. I’m glad that he got arrested for it if it’s true. I know two people that this happened to and it’s had a significant impact on their lives both with respect to their mental and physical health along with the relationships they’ve had.
It’s not something that we hear about on the news often, but it’s a horrible crime nonetheless
December 21st, 2023 at 4:49 PM ^
I can relate. My (now ex-) had an affair, caught an STD from the guy, and passed it to me. I can tell you first-hand, it's life-altering. The mental aspect is also a challenge to deal with, because it's a reminder of her betrayal.
He deserves due process, but if this is proven, I hope the punishment is severe.
December 21st, 2023 at 11:33 PM ^
Damn. I’m so sorry to hear that. Stay strong bud

Hey now, that obviously must be completely different and distinguishable from the Alabama situation. 'Michigan Men' are all virtuous saints and it's only other teams players who do this sort of thing.
