ESPN Game Day in the Big House Saturday.
Just received this email from the Athletic Department. It’s buried in the fine print, but our favorite pre-game show will get an hour in the Big House pregame. Please hurl insults as appropriate./sites/default/files/users/user33961/2023-11/IMG_3276.png

They can go fuck themselves!
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
Agreed, except for Desmond....
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:42 PM ^
Yes! F*ck ESPN and more importantly f*ck Ohio st.

Can they arrest Thamel for being a Ryan Day homer from years back as well as a sensationalist non-journalist?
Can there be a voice of integrity journalist on the panel that debates Thamel on how this is BS given all the facts, that points out he only inflames one side, and that calls him out on if he can’t reveal his sources we can conclude they are connected to ohio.
Can our journalism school give him a dis-honorable journalism degree?

Tuesday I tried to post a follow up thread about boycotting gameday and the mods took it down immediately. Very disappointed with the site.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
Bring your fucking marshmallows and pelt the bastards … please watch out for DEZ though
November 23rd, 2023 at 8:31 AM ^
You need to bring a lot of them though. Don’t understand how they can do a show with only 5 co-hosts. /s
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:29 PM ^
I bet Fox does the same thing. They both did that 2 years ago.
Anyway, I’m just happy that my leaves are all picked up and drinking Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack to celebrate
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:15 PM ^
I don't care about Fox guys. They were right in front of me two years ago. And we won. Game Day can go to hell. As we win, they will shrink into oblivion.
November 22nd, 2023 at 11:07 PM ^
Don't be fooled, Big Noon Kickoff is not our friends either. Fox Sports is the network of the Big Ten, it is not the network of Michigan.
Honestly, if College Game Day wants to troll Fox Sports and the Big Ten (and you know they do), they should take an aggressive pro-Michigan stance and make Pettiti look like an idiot.
November 23rd, 2023 at 8:21 AM ^
Right you are, Ken. And most importantly, both (all) media companies stand to have their share of the lucre pie shrunk if more of it goes to the players.

If anyone sees ESPN folk about town on Friday or Saturday morning, let them know how much they are unwelcome. Extra points if it's that fucking weasel Pete Thamel. Extra extra points if it's done in chant form.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:30 PM ^
Does he usually travel to Gameday? I've stopped watching it in the last couple of years because it's gotten so bad. Big Noon isn't that much better, but GameDay is so, so, so bad.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:32 PM ^
If there’s news to break I’m sure him and his eyebrows will be there.
November 23rd, 2023 at 12:51 AM ^
"FUCK-ING WEA-SEL" works perfectly for a chant when he is on screen

I Love the part in the email where they talk up Big Noon Kickoff and then quicky mention that Gameday will also be there.
FOX SPORTS BIG NOON KICKOFF & ESPN COLLEGE GAMEDAY:
FOX Sports Big Noon Kickoff will be live from Pioneer High School to throw the biggest pregame party of the weekend! Show up early for free food and giveaways, including free Cowboy hats for the first 1,000 fans!
Fan pit opens at 7:00 a.m. and the party starts Saturday at 8:00 a.m.! Don’t Miss Out! This is your chance to rep Michigan on national TV with hosts Rob Stone, Mark Ingram, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn and several celebrity guests.
ESPN's College Gameday will also be live from Ferry Field. Fan pit opens at 7:00 a.m. and the show is live from 9:00 a.m. (last hour of the show will move inside the Big House).
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:40 PM ^
The email doesn't mention Urban Meyer as a host either, lol.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:17 PM ^
Based on Urban’s homer comment last year…
“The weather is great (excuse for the previous The Game) so Ohio State will win today”
…maybe he doesn’t want to embarrass himself this year.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
oh hey, free Wendys.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:13 PM ^
Actually, forget the Wendy's, I'm going to win the sign contest. Here's my prototype:
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Blow my avatar ESPN
Did I read that right? 😂
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:27 PM ^
Ryan Day read it as "put your seeds in me, ESPN."
Total rorschach test.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:09 PM ^
Why are they giving away free cowboy hats? This ain't Texas. This is Michigan fergodsakes.
November 22nd, 2023 at 11:02 PM ^
They did that at Maryland too. Is it some sponsor thing like College Game Day hard hats for Home Depot?
November 23rd, 2023 at 5:30 AM ^
Yeah, that makes no sense what so ever.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:37 PM ^
I hope Danny Kanell is the guest to add to his love for Michigan. Please, at all means, fraudulently bury us and then come here and feel like family.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:02 PM ^
Danny Kanell can suck a bag of dicks.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
That's how it always works for noon games. They go in the stadium for the last hour of the show. No one is staying outside when the game starts at noon.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:51 PM ^
Fuck those clowns. Just cheer Desmond and BOO the rest every time they talk
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:00 PM ^
But not too loudly. Don't lose your voice before the game.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
Funny you say that
My voice is still hoarse from going to the Maryland game
November 22nd, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
And mine is still hoarse from the Lions game Sunday. Another day or two and it should be back to 100 %.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:57 PM ^
All I want to hear are boos, the entire hour.
November 22nd, 2023 at 11:09 PM ^
I want F-Bombs until there are so many bleeps that it sounds like a test of the Emergency Broadcast System.
I want "The State of Our Open Threads" to melt.
November 24th, 2023 at 8:18 AM ^
You want F bombs? What happened to the class we once had. It feels like we have become ohio. We don't have to even acknowledge these shows. Just cheer loudly for our boys at noon, win the game and start booking your hotel for Indy. Act like the class of the big 10 again.
November 22nd, 2023 at 8:59 PM ^
Booooo!
Someone was weak to approve of that.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:03 PM ^
And this surprises you how, exactly?
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:29 PM ^
It doesn't surprise me. We probably gave them more tickets than they asked for so they can trash us on campus.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
I wouldn't boo or cheer. I wouldn't give them any energy for their broadcast. Hurt their ratings. That is more impactful.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:38 PM ^
This is the right answer. Go to the show and take up space in the crowd, but give them no energy. Maybe turn your back to the set and play on your phone.
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:38 PM ^
Agreed. While every cell in my body is saying “go to hell, ESPN,” they’re coming to Ann Arbor in no small part to convert the outrage—that they’ve disingenuously done much to create—into revenues. Don’t feed the beast.
We have descended into a bizarre sports version of the movie Network, and Paul Finebaum is Howard Beale.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
Why tf is the university allowing this?
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:17 PM ^
We don't recognize you!!!!!!!!!
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
Why do we keep rolling over for everything?
November 22nd, 2023 at 10:22 PM ^
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:36 PM ^
I prefer that there was a total ban on ESPN on campus. Better yet, when they roll in, some stuff happens and they can't get themselves set up right.
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:37 PM ^
If you are there, please be merciless
November 22nd, 2023 at 9:50 PM ^
oh, calm down.
