Semaj, what a very unique name and we have two of them!

Its James spelled backwards ... which is a thing

What about Bob?

A very rare photo that show's Gary's deformed hand. The producers tried to keep his hand hidden.

Baby steps.

Samaha kicked an extra point Saturday
October 16th, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
I didnt realize it until I watched the B1G football in 60 yesterday and noticed the left footed kicker.

Sundays
October 16th, 2023 at 2:16 PM ^
Fuck no. Sundays are my busiest. I sleep mid-week.
Saturday: Publish Punt/CP. Football. Try to get a copy of the game. Visit client tailgates, make appearances. Watch all the Big Ten games. Start Michigan rewatch.
Sunday: Up at 7am with kids. Continue 8am detailed rewatch and take notes for podcast. Leave 9:15am to take kids to Sunday school, drive to Ann Arbor, open podcast room, finish rewatch, read J-Due's low-hanging fruit, set up podcast equipment. 11:15am to 1pm record podcast. 1pm to 2pm edit podcast, create cover, send materials, timestamps and ads to Patrick for assembly. Pack up all the podcast equipment and deliver to Craig's. Drive home (my drive home usually hits halftime of the Lions game). Download data, write Neck Sharpies. Go to bed 1am or 2am.
(Yes, Neck Sharpies is usually done about 2am Monday morning because i need to get ahead on UFR. It's in the hopper now. And it's fantastic.)
Monday: UFR Charting: from when I wake to wee hours, with a break to read stuff online and catch up with the fan zeitgeist (Hi!)
Tuesday: UFR Writing (takes most of the day). Record M&S Show. FFFF chart 1, watch more of upcoming opponent.
Wednesday: Take care of ads/business. FFFF chart 2 and then I'm on break. Wednesdays are when I often schedule client meetings. Or like this week I'm speaking to Dooley's class. DnD session 7:30 to 10pm. Then sleep.
Thursday: WTKA, meet with HUEL, pick musician and set up MGoRadio for Friday, then Thursday afternoon is my weekend. After kids are in bed I try to finish the FFFF chart (Alex usually isn't done with the defense until very late at night so sometimes this is an early friday thing.) Wife has Thursday afternoons off so we try to do something together then.
Friday: MGoRadio, which we moved to noon so now I have Friday nights free but that's new. I used to have to get everything ready, drive up, set up, and then it wouldn't be over for me until I upload around 7pm and I'd go to a hockey game or something to unwind. SO much better.

Good God, man! Pick up the pace!

That can't all be good for the heart unless its a Maize and Blue heart! Remember to breathe!
October 16th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
I tired just reading that.
October 16th, 2023 at 6:39 PM ^
I see a lot of free, unproductive time in that unhurried schedule. This is Michigan...
October 16th, 2023 at 11:35 PM ^
For those keeping track, UFR charting is done. Goodnight.

Sleep is overrated (especially when you are older and can't sleep anyway :))
October 16th, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
FYI, you have Enow Etta on the “haven’t played” list and also played twice list.
Thanks for sharing this. I was kind of wondering Saturday about burned shirts but am waaay to lazy to actually do the work.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:01 PM ^
I know the coaches like to play everybody in blowouts but I don't understand why we burned the redshirt on Hillman and Waller when both were thought to be very raw prospects.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
Pure speculation on my part, but I would expect it is some combination of: Getting guys experience at positions that will be positions of need next year (CB and S), shortage of healthy bodies at those same positions, wanting to keep guys happy because players like to play, and knowing that you can't keep everyone for five years.
Both have played enough that they're getting useful experience, it's not 1 or 2 snaps at the end of a game. They're physically developed enough to play at a high level.
I find it more perplexing that they burned the shirt on Trey Pierce, who appears to need some Herbertizing before he's really ready.
October 16th, 2023 at 4:24 PM ^
Because the coaches realize redshirts are borderline irrelevant. This blog is the only place where people get fired up about players not playing.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
pretty sure Samaha had a pat on Saturday
October 16th, 2023 at 12:19 PM ^
Why is Hibner transferring? Is his path to playing time blocked?
October 16th, 2023 at 12:27 PM ^
Seems like it. Loveland, Barner, Bredeson at least are all ahead of him. And all of them are likely back next year.
October 16th, 2023 at 1:04 PM ^
Perhaps the best tight end room in the land returns intact? This pleases me.
Actually, Brian thinks Barner is ready for the league and I believe him. Excellent blocker and he's showing some receiving and YAC skills lately. Always good to see guys blossom after transferring here.
October 16th, 2023 at 1:44 PM ^
Don't forget about adding Prieskorn out of Rochester Adams. Dude seems like a Michigan version of Loveland.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
Stokes is the most interesting case. He has been listed as injured. But if Mullings and Hall are ahead of him, then is he going to stick around.
and everyone listed under the completions sake list sort of validates the staff's non-usage of redshirts. No one there is likely to be a case of "no NFL potential, but ran out of eligibility and wish they could come back 1 more year"
October 16th, 2023 at 12:26 PM ^
I love the variety of names, in sound and spelling: Semaj, Karmello, Brandyn, Deakon, Enow, Aymeric, Breeon, Semaj (another one!), Adama, Amorion, Darrius, Micah.
(But auto-correct definitely does not love them.)
Will there come a day when referring to the "Jimmys and Jo's" will draw a blank, and people will instead be talking about the "Aymerics and Enows"?
October 16th, 2023 at 12:28 PM ^
What is happening with Rolder?
October 16th, 2023 at 1:56 PM ^
WOTS is that he's injured. Also, he didn't redshirt last year due lack of LB depth, so this would be a make-up year of sorts.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
I know he's gone to the NFL and all, but I'd love to get Mikey to come back next year and just play against Texas, USC, OSU, and in the playoff. :). You know, as a "redshirt" year.
October 16th, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
Great stuff. I keep forgetting that Semaj Morgan is a freshman. (I did the same thing last year with Mason Graham.)
