JJ McCarthy is now the Michael Jordan of football. Blake still primed to go off. TEs are killing it. A little concerned for Donovan, but nice for him to get that TD. Hope he can build off that.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:37 PM ^
Edwards runs like he belongs in OSU's rush offense.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:40 PM ^
Damn that’s harsh
October 14th, 2023 at 3:46 PM ^
That’s gonna be a penalty for unnecessary roughness
October 14th, 2023 at 3:53 PM ^
15 yard penalty for givin him the business

It's unsportsman like!

Damn you chuck. Damn you all to heck.

Take my damn upvote. I still hate you.

I was at the game with my nephew and told him I don’t know why they don’t use him more as a receiver.

Seven games in, and Edwards has his first touch down.
Seven games in, and the game is done by the 4th quarter
There is so much in the tank that this team is not revealing.
Also, great game in the rain.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:37 PM ^
Wow. I did not realize that was his 1st TD of the season. No wonder he was pissed when he got pulled for Blake for that easy TD.
October 14th, 2023 at 8:12 PM ^
Edwards was hit pretty good and stopped dead on a goal one run, he runs so tall he looses leverage, just not a guy for short yardage.
October 14th, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
He has his chance from 2 and couldn't put it in
October 14th, 2023 at 3:29 PM ^
We score 0 points and hardly gained any yards in the entire 1st quarter.
The first string offense scored 38 points in only two quarters of action in the pouring rain.
The second and third string offense scored 14 points on their own in the 4th quarter in the pouring rain.
The defense only gave up 7 points all game long and utterly shut down Indiana after the 1st quarter.
52-7…
Damn folks…damn
October 14th, 2023 at 3:29 PM ^
I've never in my life seen michigan beat bad teams like they should for 7 weeks straight, they always found a way to struggle against some bad teams. This team is elite
Also I'm glad they kept Tuttle in, if JJ gets hurt we need someone with experience

State is a tougher matchup than their record suggests (even leaving aside rivalry juju).
They have more ability in the passing game and on the DL than what we’ve faced so far. Washington crushed them by throwing every down and winning 50-50 balls, but U-M isn’t that kind of team.
State has to play a much cleaner game than they have to date, and they just might not be capable of that. But if they knock off the mistakes for one day, they could be feisty.
October 15th, 2023 at 6:58 AM ^
State's offense was 89th in S&P+ last week and the defense was 5 spots worse than Nebraska...
October 14th, 2023 at 5:04 PM ^
I'm calling it disdain week.
October 14th, 2023 at 5:08 PM ^
I'm calling it Total Indifference Week.
October 14th, 2023 at 6:49 PM ^
Embarrassed we’re related week.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:32 PM ^
Here's a terrible question: Was this JJ's 2nd worse game? I think the 2 fumbles might do it despite the really shiny yds/attempt. But, I suppose that's the real point. 14-17 for 222, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions, 2nd worst? Ha-ha, I'll take it.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:13 PM ^
I think it’s a fair question but the best part is that if this is his second worst game then we are looking pretty elite.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:31 PM ^
In the pouring rain, no less.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:32 PM ^
Edwards isn’t close to what he was last year. If we’re being honest, so far Corum isn’t quite what he was, either. Right now, the best part of the offense is the passing game and the best player has been McCarthy.
McCarthy now has 41 career TD passes, which places him 9th all-time. Nine more this season and he would pass Steve Smith (42), Devin Gardner (44), Shea Patterson (45), Rick Leach (48), and Denard Robinson (49) for 4th place. The top three are Henne (87), Navarre (72), and Grbac (71).
October 14th, 2023 at 3:45 PM ^
Its weird. DE is a fantastic space player. Hes lethal on those dump offs and screens. But if you’re ranking the best in between the tackles runners on the team right now, Donovan is #3 at best.
Honestly, Hall looked decent out there. Edwards feels like hes down as soon as someone touches his ankle
October 14th, 2023 at 3:50 PM ^
Yeah I’d even dare to say I’d take Hall at #3 after today.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:04 PM ^
Add a healthy Kalel Mullings, #3, Hall #4 and Edwards #5.
I won't give up on Donovan. Yes, am STILL waiting but we have a tough game next week and then November will be the final test. Edwards has time. In Mike Hart I trust.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:24 PM ^
Maybe I'm missing something, but who would be #2? Obviously Corum is 1.
October 14th, 2023 at 5:02 PM ^
My bad! I miscounted. Sorry, so Corum is #1 then Kalel is #2, Hall at #3 and Dono at #4.
That's how it stands after today's game. That can next week. Hall picked up the slack from Mullings being out injured and out of action today.
October 14th, 2023 at 6:50 PM ^
Don't worry. We're just lulling PSU and OSU into thinking we're trying to develop him as a power runner. Come those games. . . catching the ball out of the backfield for TD after TD.
October 15th, 2023 at 10:47 AM ^
Hall looked decent out there
Decent? He looked fantastic out there
October 15th, 2023 at 11:22 AM ^
agree with this. I don't know if he's taken a step back in his technique, if he's not fully recovered from his off-season repairs, if there's something else going on we don't know about, or some combination thereof...but using him as a conventional running back appears to be a misuse of his talents and a disservice to the offense as a whole this season. but in the passing game, he looks like a more lethal weapon than he did last year. He's still dangerous with the ball in his hands, just not when he has to pick his way through a wall of beef.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:50 PM ^
This isn't a fair comment to make on either Edwards or Corum. If they play all 4 quarters... then we aren't having this conversation.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:04 PM ^
How is that? Edwards is averaging just a little more than three yards a carry. He seems noticeably slower and less quick. Corum has been good, but not as explosive as he was before the injury. They’ve played seven games, so there isn’t a lack of sample size. I’m not sure what difference more 4th quarter snaps would make.
October 14th, 2023 at 10:57 PM ^
You seem like you want to prove that BC is not as good as last year. The number of carries he is getting is not high. It is not like he had explosive plays every play last year. The more you play, the more opportunities you get. May be they want to save him up for a deep run. We will see how he performs vs PSU.
Everyone around here wanted more passing game. Now we got that, we are complaining about our running backs.
October 15th, 2023 at 2:41 AM ^
I have no idea how you could take that as a complaint about anything.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:53 PM ^
Still amazes me how Johnny "Never" is 2nd all time.
October 14th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
He had nearly four full seasons to get those numbers and was throwing to pretty good receivers.
October 14th, 2023 at 6:00 PM ^
Yeah, Braylon and Steve Breaston were pretty good at scoring TDs.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:54 PM ^
Corum is fine. Stop being a concern troll.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:05 PM ^
He’s been better than just fine, but he was a college Superman before the injury. He hasn’t been that this year.
October 14th, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
Corum was the best player in college football last year. This year he isn't. You're not supposed to say that around here though.
October 14th, 2023 at 9:02 PM ^
I don’t care if Blake’s the best player in college, I bet he doesn’t either. He just needs to be a great team player for the next 8 games. Win the whole thing as a team.
October 14th, 2023 at 5:24 PM ^
This is a very simplistic way to look at it but at first glance, last year he averaged 5.9 YPC, this year he’s averaging 6.0 YPC. Numbers aren’t going to look as gaudy due to how the games have gone, maybe not breaking as many long ones as last year but I don’t have any concern about BC
October 14th, 2023 at 10:59 PM ^
Has he even gotten 15 carries in a game this year? Mullings have taken away some of his carries. He is going to shine in big games. You are just making stuff about him being superman last year so your argument sounds plausible. That is a under handed comment.
October 16th, 2023 at 8:13 AM ^
Nobody is making anything up. Last year he was a Heisman frontrunner. This year he is not. It's not that difficult to understand.
October 14th, 2023 at 11:13 PM ^
Last year he averaged 5.9 a carry. This year he is averaging 6.0. Corum is just fine.
