Michigan football begins tour of ... Michigan
Freep article on the start of the football team's tour of Michigan:
We really treat the players as student athletes...
JD comin'
Cheers
He’s reclassified?
I have no issue with your shorthand as I am sure you do it to protect yourself. Especially if this comes true. Keep it up my friend.
Confidence level?
My confidence level is an S out of T
Seventeen out of thirty-two? Seems like a strange scale....
Hate it when I don't know who JD is. :(
He's the guy who wrote "The Catcher in the Rye."
Salinger is the proto-typical dual threat author/QB
Harbaugh has said many times he’s looking for prototypical dual threat author/QBs. Transformational instead of transaction something or other. He would also like 3 Techs who can stop the run and disrupt industries by embracing cutting edge technologies and running backs who are both able to pound it up the middle and be sales threats out of the back office.
The veritable warrior-poet.
Pad level???
Jadyn Davis 2024 QB
Thank you!
Or, is Jermaine's last initial D and he's on the tour?
This guy is probably preferred to Carr, right? Maybe even Moore.
And good timing for him too. Should be able to start right on the heels of JJ leaving.
2023 QB now?
Jack Daniels. Sometimes known as GJ (not that Ghost of Jermaine).
What’s the over/under on how many m go bloggers out there that have a “Hello: Jadyn Davis” post cued up and ready to go? 😂
I already typed up the Brandon Inniss Hello after the last GOJ post. Weird that ended up going in a different direction...
This guy has been more wrong than right
...to the BBQ.
More confident in this, Brandon Innis, or Jaxson Howard?
Just yesterday I got an email from a friend who drove up the west side of the Lower Peninsula, stayed overnight near the Mackinac Bridge, then down the eastern shore line to the Saginaw Bay, and I thought, what a great drive.
Lots of great stuff to see in the state.
And service too in one of my old homes, Flint. Impressive.
That drive along M22 (?) Is awesome with all the small towns to shop at and hang out. Fresh fruits and food. Little things that says Pure Michigan.
That is an excellent drive - but why snub the UP?
Love UP. Just that I am in TC area more often than UP
It does add some time. Saint Ignace is a closer drive to Detroit than it is to Ironwood!
Probably not a snub. Michigan's a big state, can't get to everything.
I'm a big UP fan myself. My great grandpa worked in the copper mines, then my grandpa did for a while.
Same here.
My great grandpa migrated from Germany to Westphalia Michigan in 1858, then moved to Calumet MI in the early 1860s and put his barn-building skills to good use laying timber in the copper mines, as the mining crews would go deeper and deeper with their tunnels. By 1863 three of his brothers also came over from Germany after he sent word back that he had found employment in the UP.
Great to see stuff like this. Harbaugh really does believe in the idea of molding a well-rounded individual that Michigan can be proud of, not just molding a great football player.
This also has an indirect instate recruiting benefit as well. While I'm sure Harbaugh is not remotely doing it with this intent, seeing Michigan football players show up to things like this might make a lot of instate parents sit there and say "Wow, I want my son to play for Harbaugh."
Mission around the Mitten.....
Defensive lineman Mazi Smith battled multiple kids in tug of war
Why am I imagining it something like this?
McNamara plunked Harbaugh into the icy waters of a dunk tank.
The Freep is going to be all over this, claiming it was a passing drill during an impermissible practice.
Blue, great point - it’s amazing to me that Compliance wasn’t aware of this practice session.
It’s probably a Level 1 violation and could result in the loss of multiple scholarships, three years without post season / bowl games, and - I don’t know what else. Let’s see what the NCAA levies.
I saw a video, and - candidly, I feel better. It wasn’t McNamara that “tanked” Harbaugh - it was another fan / spectator.
One other thing, the spectator/ fan threw a baseball - not a football.
My hope is - that if McNamara did participate - that he used a baseball. Though, I’m quite certain someone will infer that this is a training session - and, not permitted this time of year - as well as the fact that a baseball can be used during a drill to improve a QB’s throwing motion.
of course, there maybe video evidence that McNamara actually used a football - hit the target (as expected), dunked Coach Harbaugh, and we can expect a notice of Level 1 infractions very soon.

Wait, the Freep is allowed to write positive stories about Michigan?
Well, since Drew Sharp....
I couldn’t bring myself to click on the free press link! I don’t know why they didn’t link to a story on the trip in Mlive or DetNews.
i can't even tell you how much i love this. harbaugh, juwan, kba - they all seem to really focus on creating a team atmosphere as a way to build unity and success on and off the field.
"hey, gang, let's go get some chicken dinners in frankenmuth," and they seem to enjoy doing it.
also - just listened to angelique's drop on WTKA this morning, and she notes that the players have really embraced the events...visiting the jail, interacting with kids, just an all-around great experience. transformational is no joke.
Seeing that they ate at Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth, I have to wonder how many total chickens they consumed. It must’ve been a sight to behold.
Really nice gesture by Harbaugh and the program to serve lunch to MSU players.
We should just shut down the internet for today.
There can't and won't be a funnier comment made...even including all of the Josh Hawley memes.
I hope they all enjoy the great state of Michigan’s great scenery and history... our church has a program in help intercity kids ... in GR ... we took them on a trip to the beach in Holland and they were awestruck.. they said wow bayview really exists... never were to the beach before... I hope they all enjoy it
Will the overseas trips come back or did Covid kill that too?
I drove past their convoy this afternoon, they were heading west on I96 between Lansing and Grand Rapids. Looked like about 6 Indian Trails busses with “Michigan Football 2022” logos on the sides, plus their equipment truck following the busses.
My sister is National Guard and works on the Blackhawk's and Chinooks. She said the team was there (Lansing) about a week ago taking rides and getting a tour. She said she spoke to RJ Moten for a little, and was very down to earth. I think they did some video of it.
