cut before camp ????
But Shea was working so hard this offseason....
I heard he got his handicap into single digits!
So did Shea get the Hook or did the Chiefs Slice him off their roster? Must be Rough on him, but I wonder if he thought it was a Trap signing as an UDFA?
Hope Shea is not hiding in a Bunker, but I guess this was the only Fairway for the Chiefs to do it, hey, maybe he can sign with Philly and be an Eagle and get some Green and get a Caddy!
That's good stuff right there
Not good. Where does that put his Michigan backups? Yikes for the 2020 season.
I dunno they’re probably, like, at home watching a movie or sleeping or something.
Dude...not to worry...Shea is gonna be a “G” in the league.
Once you've committed* a half-billion dollars to a single player, I guess it's time to start shaking the couches for all the spare change you can scrounge.
*I know, I know. It's an NFL contract, so the Chiefs haven't really committed that much money to Mahomes.
Wow, that’s a shame. I really thought he might push Mahomes for the starting job by mid season at the latest.
God, I loved when Norman broke the fourth wall.
I sat next to Norman on a flight to Dayton once.
I have this strange attachment to The Ropers.
That theme song is the perfect earworm.
Jack had it made! He probably did 2fers on Friday night.
Couldn’t agree more. I think we’re probably in the minority but Roper >>> Furley.
Furley was a one trick pony. Secretly listen to Jack and the girls, or another guy, talk about something wasn’t sex, but was full of double entendres that sounded like it was because he didn’t know the context, and give crazy big eyed surprised look to camera.
I knew it was Soviet agitprop!
they signed Matt Moore to be their 3rd QB behind Henne and Mahomes
Chad Henne living that backup life....baller. No hits, good $. Good for him.
There are certainly worse ways to make a living.
Way to compete Bo.
He's the modern day Todd Collins.
I remember Collins starting a game for the Bears against the Panthers in 2010, the final year of his career, and completing 6-of-16 passes for 32 yards and 4 interceptions, yet the Bears somehow won 23-6.
Sums up life as a Bears fan pretty well.
Todd Collins played in 3 games in 2010:
Subbed in for Cutler when Jay got hurt. 4-11, 36 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT. 8.1 QB Rating.
The game you just mentioned. 6-16, 32 yards, 0 TD, 4 INT. 6.2 QB Rating.
The NFC Title Game against Green Bay (replacing Jay). 0-4, 0 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT.
That latter game got him a 39.6 QB Rating -- MUCH better than his first 2 games!
I'm not trying to make fun of the guy. Even a back-up NFL QB is among the top athletes among the total population. He had a long NFL career, and had his bright spots. But he was definitely done by 2010.
Over $23 Million in career earnings as of 2017. God bless him!
And a Super Bowl ring for Henne.
Matt Moore didn't play poorly in that Sunday night game last year against the Packers. Cris Collinsworth said it during the broadcast and I agreed, Matt Moore was not the reason they lost that game. Defense let the Chiefs down for sure.
That being said, the NFL is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league and teams are always looking for upgrades. It will be interesting to see who wins the backup QB job in KC. The loser likely gets cut unless rosters get expanded because of the pandemic.
True, but they could have kept Patterson for the practice squad. My guess is they know he has no chance of being an NFL qb so they cut him now...
Exactly always looking for an upgrade even at backup positions. Shea was not an upgrade
Something something golf...
I came here specifically for the golf joke. I like your preemptive, ironic non golf joke.
You aren't allowed to say anything bad about a Michigan player. Didn't you know that everyone who wears the winged helmet automatically has a high achieving work ethic and any failures are just a product of bad circumstances and officiating?
He was going pro after the first year.....????
The QB whisperers fault?
Homeboy looked “tentative” at times. Good enough college Q B though.
"Good enough" for 8-4 with a stacked WR corps.
Just curious what rounds do you think these stacked wide receivers are going to get drafted? Maybe just maybe wide receivers were overrated as well
Well one has already been drafted, and my guess is that two more will be next year. More than Shea can say...
Don’t know why you are getting negged. I get the joke.
Nobody desires your fake insider takes around here. What is your new burner account?
Well, there's always Saskatchewan.
He signed a baseball contract a few years ago, so he still has that.
I assumed he was going for a PGA tour card as a back up
Baby steps, Nike tour or whatever they call it now.
Korn Ferry tour
MSU and OSU twitter are weirdly triggered by this.
If I may offer some personal insight... it's because every year some UM fans constantly forecast "we'll beat you this year because of X,Y, and Z"... and say it with a straight face like it's an absolute certainty. First it was Harbaugh, then Shea, this last year was Speed in Space, etc.
I'm certainly not painting all UM fans with the same brush, but many OSU (and I suspect MSU) fans tire of the constant talk, and excuses. If you want to talk about why you think the team will progress this year, by all means, lets discuss... I love talking college football! But the arrogant segment really wears on people, myself included.
TL/DR... OSU and MSU fan bases are going to get a kick out of the 5 star savior QB who was going to win the B1G and take UM to the playoffs.... getting cut before the preseason.
I mean, the MSU part of the trash talk would be justified
Talking shit to OSU fans is the dumbest thing I can think of. But what’s the problem with flexing on MSU? We’ve put them back where they belong
So does that put us in the center of the Human Centipede?
