Harbaugh must have a soft spot for Barnhart. Trente Jones looked superior to my untrained eye. 

Saban was a hell of a recruiter.   With the talent advantage probably should have won more.

I do believe he is 61-3 as a starter between HS and his time leading the current national champions. 

The hardest thing to quantify is the mental make-up of a qb. It doesn't matter if you can throw the ball 80 yards like Joe Milton or run a 4.3 like Justin Fields if you're not a leader of men, can read a defense, be accurate, not turn the ball over. 

Thinking of best qb's you look at the physical traits of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Steve Young, Joe Montana, and Patrick Maholmes. Now compare them to JaMarcus Russell, Joe milton, Ryan leaf, Carson wentz. Trey Lance, Zach Wilson.    

Oline. Need to be able to run the ball and blake corum 2nd round once they trade down and have extra pick. 

Don't see it as a lifelong eagles fan.  I feel everyone around JJ would run through a brick wall for him.  McNabb not so much.  Decision making not great. When McNabb came out of college he was much lighter but he got to big and couldn't throw or move as well.

If you enjoy watching a competitive game before November. Winning by a lot is fun but it's not really fun to watch.  I guess I can get my Saturday started earlier. Just watch for a quarter.  

Start at the 20. Offenses don't need any more advantages then they already have.  Kickoffs are pointless. It only gives networks opportunities to go td, commercial, kickoff, commercial.  

So if offense fumbles in own endzone and goes out of bounds should it be a touch back instead of a safety?

I think oline will be good. Several guys who have been here for years. It's kind of like Wisconsin used to be.  Recruit ok but not have to play until year 3 or 4 or 5. Lots of time with Moore and coach herb. 

Miles Hinton still has 5 star talent just need more coaching. Trente Jones has eligibility left. Crippen has been here for a few years now. El hadi, Persi,  they have plenty of guys that can play.  

I think biggest thing is JJ and Jesse Minter. If they're both here for 2024 they can run it back. 

Best michigan defense in my lifetime. Lucky that a couple coverage busts were not capitalized on. Both were the same play by Washington.

The called hold on McGregor was not egregious but from angle the ref had it looked much worse. Mason Graham and Kenneth Graham are absolute beasts. 

I'll have to look at snap counts but it looked like Graham and Grant plated more then Jenkins. 

Jesse Minter is a phenomenal coach. I hope he really likes AA and just wants to stay and forever be a legend.

I think nick Saban is over rated as a coach. He was a master recruiter. When you have a team full of 5 stars it's easy to win. And it should be easy to keep them motivated. They're all playing to be 1st round picks. 

Michigan has superior coaching. Harbaugh bringing in Mcdonald/Minter and players like Hutch, jj, Corum has made this the glory days of Michigan football. Moore having a few weeks to solely focus on the oline did wonders.

Seems more on the coaching staff. I think everyone on here has been calling for Jones to start at tackle all year. Still not sure what they were seeing that we weren't? Grading in ufr's pointed that out as well. 

Putting Jones in at tackle. Imagine having Jones at tackle and zinter at guard all year?

Saban is overrated as a coach. He does what any coach with a vastly superior roster should do. When there is a similar talent level what happens? 

I've thought Minter was best coach on staff for most of the year. Hope he likes it in AA and stays for a while.  

Barnhart is a better fit at guard then tackle. Also a leader. Props to Barnhart but Jones should have been the starter at tackle. 

That's because Barnhart got kicked inside to replace injured Zak and Jones got the start at rt. Sometimes coaches have a soft spot for a player but Jones showed us what most have seen. He's a better tackle then Barnhart. 

Expectations are over the top. That's why when he puts a ball he behind a receiver or low. It's like what the heck jj? 

He's a much better guard then tackle.

No offense snowflakes yet but at first glance trente Jones did a great job. He looked like an upgrade at right tackle on what we had most of the year. 

And that was with a muffed punt return gifting turn them the ball in Michigan territory.

How bad was Mccarthy actually hurt and how healed is he exactly will go a long way in determining who wins today. 

I realize Saban/Alabama has win a lot. What makes Saban a better coach then Harbaugh? His actual coaching or being able to get all the 5 stars? If Harbaugh had the ability to bring in the talent Saban has Harbaugh would never lose a game. I remember Saban lasting less then a season in the NFL when it comes down to coaching because teams are fairly similar in talent level. Harbaugh elevated sf from bottom to top. 

How about having Jackson at practice during a dead period on tape?

Can be play both ways? Redzone jump ball threat? 6-6 with 7 foot wingspan and jump.  Hell yea. 2 years to put on 30 pounds of good weight and improve that explosiveness. Can't wait to see. 

To many bowls and with added games during season much easier to make.  When the season was 10 or 11 games you had to win 6. Had to be over 500. Now you have 12 games to get to 6 wins and usually 3-4 are cupcake games. 

Plus the fact how spoiled the kids are with swag and all the tournaments they go to in b highschool they already been to Florida, Texas. California.  

I think they should get rid of over 80% of bowl games. Have the 12 team playoffs for super conferences  and 12 team playoff for group of 5 teams.  

It's easy enough for d2 and d3 to have playoffs every year.  

Emotionally exhausting.  I'm glad things are looking up.  Having kids I can't even imagine what you and your family went through. Onwards and upwards.  Go blue!

I don't think Caleb Williams is even in top 10 this year

Saban is good but what makes Alabama is so many 5 stars. The talent level is great. Players make plays. You have to block and tackle. 

Jj should come back.  He'll be probably #1 qb next year.  This year you have Williams, penix,  maye, and nix. 

Have them play Oregon, georgia, or Osu and see what happens to them. I don't think they beat any of those 3 teams. They wouldn't beat any of the 4 that made the playoffs either. 

Win the game.  As Ric Flair would say to be the best you have to beat the best. Lfg.

Sec is having a down year but I would have been super shocked to not see an sec team in the playoffs.  

Need Hinton to improve and play. He's got that 5 star body. Trente Jones at guard. That's a powerful and athletic right side of the line.  

We would all rather play fsu. So if we would rather fsu because we think that's the easier game then they got it right.
