Thanks for bringing this up budg. Gave me a chance to neg you a few times

Lions have Branch for…

Lions have Branch for covering slot receivers. Sainristil's skillset is redundant.

He set the Texans back a…

He set the Texans back a decade? They were great this year with a very promising young squad and had only 2 full seasons between the O'Brien years and this year.

Also, in 6 full seasons, he made the playoffs 4 times and had 5 winning seasons. They were 2-14 the year before O'Brien and he won 9 games his first year.

Such a dumb comment. Poole…

Such a dumb comment. Poole was a 1st round pick, was a big contributor on a title team as a 22 year old, and played well enough to get a $128 mil contract.  He's having a rough year but that has nothing to do with not spending another year at UM

I wouldn't give him all that…

I wouldn't give him all that much credit for his years as a OC for Alderson Broaddus, a school that had a total enrollment of 767 and ceased operation in 2023

Wow. The double down on a dumb comment. Nice

Not sure how a post…

Not sure how a post suggesting that Hart gets promoted to a title he's held for 2 seasons is getting upvoted.  Especially considering it's been mentioned a lot of times that Hart is likely gone after not even going to the championship parade

"Am I first?!?!?!"

You're only 4 days late from being first

Disagree on LB2 being much…

Disagree on LB2 being much of a question. Hausmann and Barham is legit. And then Rolder and other young guys. I'm more concerned about how McBurrows or others play in the Sainristil role than anything at LB.

TE needs one more guy to…

TE needs one more guy to step up to replace Barner. Loveland will be All-American level. Bredeson is a great FB/TE blocker. But need one more guy to step up (or come in via the portal).

At QB, barring a transfer, I like the idea of Orji and Davis both getting PT in sorta the Florida Leak/Tebow set up.

"Harbaugh is definitely gone…

Uhhh, no. He might leave. No more smoke than any other off-season and he hasn't left yet.

OSU timed this so that the announcement came after the portal closed and Brown couldn't leave. But he's gone in the spring portal

Trick question. He doesn't…

Trick question. He doesn't. Played 5 games at Bama in 2019, free covid year, then 12-13 games in 21, 22, and 23.  I guess he's trying to get 2019 to count as a redshirt but I don't really see how. He played 5 games

You sure you aren't…

You sure you aren't combining Tua and Taulia or something?  Taulia was just finishing his freshman year at Bama 4 years ago

Alan Bowman just got…

Alan Bowman just got approved for his 7th year. 6th year senior has been a thing forever. Take a redshirt year and then have an early injury in another season. That being said, Taulia played 5+ games in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, so he should be done

Michigan is the #1 team in…

Michigan is the #1 team in the country, but they need to change what they've been doing all year to get to #1?

I never watched them play…

I never watched them play. Maybe he was playing and not doing much. Only games with more than 3 pass attempts were UC Davis and Stanford. 1/2 for 5 yards against Washington and no stats against Oregon

Call it what you want I…

Call it what you want I guess. Only games where he had more than 3 pass attempts were UC Davis and Stanford

More info. When I saw 5'9",…

More info. When I saw 5'9", I figured he was more of a slot guy, but the vast majority of his snaps are at outside CB. 2 years of eligibility left.

Upon further review, "Solid hire" is probably a bit generous. Saw he had some top 10 defenses, but that doesn't mean as much in the B1G west. Pretty rough 2023

Am I missing something with…

Am I missing something with Edwards? I wouldn't have even put him in the maybe category.  Would he even get drafted after this season? Maybe late

A 3-3 3rd quarter would be…

A 3-3 3rd quarter would be unlike Michigan this year

So I'd go with this

JJ: 66…

So I'd go with this

JJ: 66.7%

Tuttle: 3.3%

Davis: 5% (true freshman. Last resort)

Transfer: 25%

Right now, I'd say 2/3…

Right now, I'd say 2/3 chance JJ stays. So 66.7%

He's likely behind Williams, Maye, Daniels, Penix, Nix.

The 6th ranked QB has generally been picked in round 3-5. Trask was the highest drafted #6 QB of the last 10 years, with the last pick of the 2nd round.

Tuttle is out of eligibility barring a medshirt. Redshirted 2018 at Utah. Was at IU 2019, 2020 (doesn't count), 2021, 2022. At UM 2023.  Got hurt and only played 1 game in 2022, so maybe he'll get that medshirt and get a 7th year.

Penix is an elite QB. Sorta…

Penix is an elite QB. Sorta in the Stroud mold in that they both can move but it's not a big part of their game. Penix doesn't have the pinpoint accuracy of Stroud but he's got a big arm and isn't scared to take risks. Great WR corps too. I don't think the passing game is far off 2022 OSU

I don't think the 2016 team…

I don't think the 2016 team was much worse than the last 3 years, if at all

If Georgia loses, they'd…

If Georgia loses, they'd need both FSU and Texas to lose to make it in. If Texas, FSU, Washington, Bama win, I think theyd have to leave the SEC out entirely. 3 undefeated P5 champs. 2 1-loss P5 champs, and one has a road win over the other. Can't pick Bama over Texas in that scenario

I like how they go into some…

I like how they go into some of the past struggles to get to point. My favorite hype video ever is Ecstasy of Maize about the 2013 bball title run which does the same

Why would we start a new…

Why would we start a new conference and invite OSU? Fuck that

Hard pass on Purdue and OSU…

Hard pass on Purdue and OSU. GT, Stanford, Cal are not very exciting for sports. Hardly feels like a super conference really.

You think USC would fire…

You think USC would fire Riley after 2 seasons???

Adrian?

So you think PSU and OSU are…

So you think PSU and OSU are just gonna blow their playoff chances by forfeiting?

Big Ten isn't doing anything…

Big Ten isn't doing anything. Why would they. The investigation is ongoing and they aren't even the ones doing the investigation. Taking action against one of their top schools when nothing has really been proven would be dumb

Exactly what I came here to…

Exactly what I came here to say. He's a solid player, but if he deserves a star than so does basically every other starter on both sides of the ball.

I continue to not understand…

I continue to not understand why he's starting

The player that actually…

The player that actually gets into the endzone with the ball gets credit.  So no passing TDs.  The receiver gets credit for those.

Chad Henne is #1 by quite a bit on the passing TD list.  He's #1 with 87 while Navarre is #2 with 70.  Then Grbac with 64 and Denard with 49.  JJ is 9th with 35 and has at least a fairly decent chance of getting 15 more this year to pass Denard.  If JJ were to come back for next season, he would likely get up to #2, but unlikely for him to pass Henne for 1.

(Also, this has 21 upvotes? Seriously??)

Snotty was a very nice way…

Snotty was a very nice way of wording this. Can't believe you have so many upvotes for such an arrogant and elitist opinion. People need to do what's right for them. I got directly admitted to IU's business school and ended up transferring to WMU. And I was way happier and now have a great career. I grew up in Ann Arbor and know tons of UM grads that are less successful than me. You make it seem like a UM education is some golden ticket but it all comes down to the individuals motivation

So you make as much noise as possible but don't like it when other people make noise. And you don't like when others share their opinions but you came here to share your opinion. Cool

It's really fun to hear a fan complain about going to a game and someone having the audacity to yell, let me tell you.

Bummed it didn't work out…

Bummed it didn't work out here but happy for him. It'd be tough for him to be more than the #4 guy at michigan this year. Maybe #3 if they put Wilson in the slot

Seems disrespectful to say…

Seems disrespectful to say they weren't even trying to win. Lost their starting QB seemingly just before the game, lost their backup who played well. And they were just down 14-6 at half despite a dropped TD. They had no chance once the 3rd string QB came in, but they fought hard at least while Orth was in

MSU might be one of the best…

MSU might be one of the best jobs open in the country?  Seriously? Just cause they paid Tuck $95 mil doesn't mean they'll do it again. It makes it much less likely that they'll do it again IMO, since they've seen how bad that can turn out.  They have a dark history of abuse and cover ups. They've been 7-6 or worse 4 of the last 5 years, but for the fanbase, the best stretch in the last 60 years is fairly recent memories and the expectations are still there.  They can't recruit.  They're in a tough conference. It's an awful job.

Lots of negs doesn't change…

Lots of negs doesn't change my mind. He played in 8 games against B1G opponents last year and had a total of 101 receiving yards. Some of that is on JJ, but still not #1 worthy to me.
