Will Sign-gate impact the draft stock of Wolverine players? Of course not.

It’s obvious that Michigan won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP because Jim Harbaugh developed and molded this group of players into one of the best draft classes of all time!  (Not that we really needed any evidence that the uproar over the Conner Stalions was BS).  Best of luck to the Champions Thursday, Friday and Saturday!

Their orange dreamsicle frosty is delicious. It’s only available for a limited time and I’m worried that if it doesn’t sell well, they’ll never bring it back. So do me a favor and buy one or a dozen. Thanks.

While clicks do make them money it's the fans that are obsessed, the writers haven't reported anything for months...They have 120+ threads in the forum with 300 and sometimes more comments before starting a new thread.

If this is not the definition of obsession, I'm not sure what is....

Its true.

Harbaugh plus Michigan = horrible scandal of the century, unforgivable, stained for eternity.

"Oh you are leaving for the Chargers? Oh great news coach. Yeah he will do well with the Chargers"

Wait just a second how the fuck does a coach come out "Andy MF Dufresne clean" on the other end of that shit storm? Thad nailed it - agenda. No calling for the Chargers hiring a cheater, no pressers with blood thirsty press asking for a GM or owners head after making such an outlandish hire. Buncha bullshit. Even you OSU slappies have to wonder WTF where is the "he is a cheater" press? Where did they go?

Did you have a 3 martini lunch? That’s the only way I can figure you typing up this post, thinking “yep, this is what the world needs”, and pressing Submit

And we are still waiting for Michigan to expose who has behind the PI Firm. Either all of the insiders were full of shit or the university/Warde doesn't want to do anything.

I think the latter is the case.  It’s not really a question of whether or not a PI firm was involved-the NCAA admitted that.  Michigan (and likely others in the B1G) wanted this to go away which is why certain deals were cut.  At some point a book or 3 will come out about this past season and we can sus out the info then.

The draft class may be the broadest of all time.  We'll see if we get 16. And if you added some reasonable measure of player development, it would blow away all others.

Something like (without getting too nerdy):

Sum (min(500, Max(HighSchoolRanki - DraftSelectionNumberi, 0))

That's something to be celebrated no matter what.

I think this is a fair discussion and further evidence that sign gate was total BS. Literally, no one is talking about draft stocks falling for any of M players - other than normal performance related issues.

Still, to do this day, I am shocked by the level of absurdity the conversation around sign gate reached.  (Which, I believe I am correct, but there has still not even been any Notice of Allegations tied to this issue?). When it all "officially" wraps up, I hope M folks are keeping reciepts and have a coordinated response ready (I know they wont, but one can wish...)

It was always quite a leap to think there was anything to the allegations at all.

From there, it was a greater leap to think the coaches were directly involved, despite the cowardly stance by the Big 10.

It was an enormous leap to think the players had any involvement whatsoever, which to my knowledge nobody ever suggested.

Finally, it's a galactic leap to think NFL teams give any thought at all to the subject, which they don't for all the reasons above.

So, I guess my answer is "no."

Sign gate was only ever about 1 thing.  Get rid of Harbaugh.  Warde was at least OK with that,  Harbaugh is gone, Warde got promoted to the chief poobah of the tournament, and sign gate will never be talked of again.

Well, OP is getting negged and it probably wasn't OP worthy. But personally I like to recall just how grotesque the takes were in the late fall of 2023 so that I can make sure to look down on certain content creators and rival schools with utter disgust.

What the OP mentions was, in fact, an actual belief peddled by some losers in the media and on the Internet.

Never forget.

This thread is a great example of good topic with bad execution.   Had the OP framed it as something like "If Signgate is real, wouldnt that suggest Michigan players will be devalued by NFL scouts in the upcoming draft?"  Then they could literally post each of the players expected to be drafted, the rounds they are projected to go and ask the board the over/under on the players.  Someone did a post similar to this recently that was pretty good IMO.

I'm actually not downvoting the OP (you guys seem to have that handled nicely) because I actually think his topic was a valid one unlike a lot of the shit posts we've seen around this subject.  He just fucked up the execution of it.

obvious a dose of sarcasm here in the original OP. Nobody in the NFL cared a bit about burger-gate nor sign-gate. JH got us a long-awaited NC, 15-0. Plus a QB likely to go into Top 5 now. He's getting 80MM/5 yrs, got to interview and decide who his boss was going to be at LAC. Plus, he got to live like hero Jim Rockford by the beach in an RV. Glad for him and glad for Sherrone.

It's clear the NCAA is waiting for a boring Friday afternoon in June to "close" these BS investigations with only a show-cause for JH (he's done with CFB anyway). I've learned that companies and governments like to announce "closure" on things like this on a Friday afternoon so it is out of the news cycle by Monday.

Ahhhh... Not so fast, my friend.   There’s a rumor that the NCAA’s assessment of the Alleged Advanced Scouting activities - has already been provided to the NFL - and, there is a secret clause in Harbaugh’s contract with San Diego which reflects the severity, recommended penalty, and duration.

As I mentioned - it’s a private, secret clause.  Fortunately, I have sources that are knowledgeable about this and they shared this information.  The clause states - “As a result of unproven allegations, where it remains unclear whether an actual NCAA rule or guideline was violated / broken - Jim Harbaugh must reside in a temporary location / home - similar to Jim Rockford in “The Rockford Files” - for as long as he wishes to do so.”
