Saw him play quite a few times in HS. Never thought he was as good as his hype but thought he could develop into an above average QB with good coaching. Should have red shirted last year but some dumb ass coach decided to put in in a meaningless game and burned it.
The Bears job will be available this year. Bears are currently a tire fire. JH will have plenty of NFL offers to consider if he and 49ers decide to part ways. It all comes down to JH wanting to return to college IMO.
He's a good coach who didn't get full support here. I exepected him to land on his feet and be successful wherever he ended up. I'd love to go back and give him another year with the proper support but the time machine is broken.
He followed Kelly at CMU and Cinncy. Didn't really spend enough time at either place to establish his own program. If you're a good coach that concern probably doesn't carry as much weight in the evaluation process. It appears he's starting to build something at Tennessee but the jury's still out in my opinion. Unfortunately, we don't have time on our side to see how things develop for him there. He's definitely not a can't miss, slam dunk hire, but won't be a horrible hire. Belongs on a short list for sure.
Todays game played out as I expected except we scored a TD. Thought we would lose 31-3. I agree that there is no point to fire him before the end of the season. My hope is that Brandon resigns/fired this week and a new AD is in place by OSU week. The new AD can then inform Mr. Hoke that his services will no longer be needed.
Devon doesn't have the skill set to run this offense. He wasn't moved to receiver because they needed him there. While he did have some success that gave a glimmer of hope that he may develop it got squashed pretty quick when D coordinators figured out that all you had to do to stop him was to pressure and take away his first read. The sad thing is he is the best option which is a perfect example of the ineptness of this staff not being able to develop or properly use the talent that is there.
However, not sure what can be salvaged by giving him the boot now. I think the best we can hope for is that he gets the Earl Bruce treatment before the OSU game. Hopefully there will be a new AD in place to give him his walking papers but probably not. I am depressed.
Are easier to run and maintain consistency from season to season. Finding a can't miss pro style QB prospect is nearly impossible now since most high schools are running spread. Hokes stubbornness will ultimately be his downfall.
The kid has the heart of a champion. I don't think there was a program in the country that was recruiting him to be a pocket passer, yet this staff insists that he become something that he will never be.
All the guy has done is win at every level. We missed the boat on this guy. He should have be hired to replace Lloyd. If we had, we wouldn't be "CC"ing. We'd we talking about playoffs.

Since we are talking last resort, I'd consider Josh McDaniels. He would have come with an endorsement from Tom Brady.
Positives:
38 years old. Has been a head coach in the NFL
Son of a highly respected successful HS coach in Ohio
Should have good connections with Ohio & Penn HS coaches
Born in Barberton, Ohio (same as that Shembechler guy people talk about.)
Good Offensive mind
Negatives:
Never spent any significant time coaching in college. Only one year at MSU (Grad Asst. under Saban)
Has done very little (if any) recruiting
Thought Tim Tebow could be a productive NFL QB
This idea.

Brandon and Hoke both stay
Looks great. Using a good roll is probably key.
He would have to say I've had it with the NFL and Michigan is my dream job.
