Jerry Jacobs is garbage…

Jerry Jacobs is garbage. Tired of watching him get abused week after week. Amazing that there is no one to replace him. Give me Marcus Peters at this point.

Came here to say this...Schiano should get the Star-Up Dangerman. Hate that guy but is he the 2nd best Xs & Os guy in the B10?

Lol. Good story. You from Flushing? Go Raiders!

I ordered some Callaways 3 weeks ago with a 2-3 week lead time. They were at my house in 4 days. But yeah...the quoted time is pretty common right now. Not sure how it plays out maker to maker, but mine was a welcomed lie.

I'm not sure if it was…

I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I passed VA license plate: LBS VAG. Passed the driver and it was an 80+ year old man and his wife. Don't know if that made it better or worse for me.

I was pumped because it means we don't have to reach for a CB at 6. Take Carter if he's not in jail, otherwise Wilson should be available.

Get Porter if he's still there at 18, or trade down like last year to get someone you love.

We were better off without Corum? That's pretty hot.

Who knows what would've happened but I loved how it played out.

Hopefully he's 100% by Dec 31.

I met Wilbon last year - at a UM event ironically. We had shut down the Shinola store in DC for an Alumni Association gathering a few weeks before Christmas. Wilbon showed up at the door and they let him in because I guess he buys a lot of stuff there and wanted some gifts for his family. I was the only one who recognized who he was but didn't want to bother him. Eventually he passed by me while browsing watches and I told him I was a big fan of PTI. He stopped and drove about a 15 minute conversation with me about Michigan sports and how he loves what Juwan and Jim are building, and that he had a lot of family members around Detroit that were alums so he has always been forced to follow even more closely than what his job requires. I don't think he really hates Michigan but just plays it up. Really really nice guy and fun to talk to.

1) Baltimore Ravens-lite defense that can feasibly stop high-level offenses

2) A QB whose legs command opposing defenses' attention that both opens up more holes for our RBs and gives an alternate/viable path to 3rd-and-medium conversions

Stood out to me how HARD they were hitting today. Don't remember a game like it in recent memory. Nothing dirty, but all three levels were bringing it today on the tackles.

Foresight GC2. Being able to own your spin and actual carry numbers has taken me from 80s/90s to 70s/80s.

hate: 5 minutes to look for lost ball. should be 1 minute.

"play it as it lies" is fine and all, but most people don't play on PGA courses. I'm 100% moving my ball to clean turf if I hit the ball in the fairway and it's a less than ideal lie.

most violated: stroke and distance, red/yellow hazard type scoring.

I have known that's the answer for a long time but I am too lazy. I'm waiting for someone like you to tell me the secret that doesn't involve lifting lol. 113 is no joke, can put you right around 170 ball speed and 300 carry with right equipment and launch.

Do you think lifting was the…

Do you think lifting was the only reason? Or did you improve your swing? I'm 100-105 rn and would love to push above 110.

and yes - 75 and in, consistently making that an up-and-down or birdie is what keeps me from 70s. i'm baffled why that gets a BS flag lol

Was a teens HDCP before…

Was a teens HDCP before. Right driver shaft eliminated two-way miss; one-length significantly improved accuracy 160+; and taking more time on putts/verifying alignment definitely shaved a few. What makes you call BS? Last 4 rounds 84/78/82/80. 84 was on a 139 slope course and was actually my best day hitting the ball.

It honestly wasn't. It comes…

It honestly wasn't a big change for me. It comes down to two things IMO. What is your clubhead speed (how high in the bag do you go before the carry distances compress) and how good of a wedge player you are.

I'm on the higher end of swing speed and can carry my one length 4 in the 180s.

I'm a picker and never have been a strong wedge player and found that I'm much more consistent with one length on full swings down to my SW.

Some ppl might only want to play 5i-9i or pitching wedge.

But I will say it absolutely changed my game and it took almost no adjustment. Added tons of confidence and consistency to all clubs, especially my 4-6 irons. Give em a swing if you're on the fence!

Yea 100% with that. I'm 36,…

Yea 100% with that. I'm 36, took me 30 yrs of golf to figure out that not going full John Daly on the driver is key if I want to shoot well. Sounds like we have similar games. I'm 240-260 off the tee now. About 20 yds less than what I am capable of carrying. 75yds and in is what's keeping me from consistently breaking 80s. Tee to green I'm happy.

3H: Cobra F9 One Length, Atmos 7S

4i-SW: Cobra F9 One Length, KBS Tour S

Switching to one length clubs, finding the right shafts that killed spin on the long clubs, and getting a putter that makes me take a little time on the setup brought me from 80-90s down to 70-80s. If you're a bogey golfer or worse, highly recommend at least giving one length a try.

I taped in late September,…

I taped in late September, my show hasn't aired yet. Alex had just started his second round of chemo and admitted he might struggle. Had a few slip-ups he had to dub over, but he was a champ and powered through all the games he had to tape that day. He alluded to this GOAT matchup when talking to us during the break. Pretty sure it's already been taped or was taped shortly afterwards...they are on a 2+ month delay.

I think James will win, but the questions are gonna be ridiculous. The skin-deep knowledge that usually is enough to get most of the clues might not be good enough...pretty sure Ken and Brad best James on that front, but James will be quicker on the buzzer.

Should be fun to watch.

Annapolis, MD

Pros: sailing / proximity to Chesapeake; punches above its weight for bars, restaurants, etc; close enough to DC (aka Hollywood for ugly people) to take part in all it has to offer; cheaper housing than DC but still expensive

Cons: commute to DC is terrible; public golf scene is surprising bad; public schools are surprisingly not that great for as much money there is in the area

mine I always judge this by picking the movies that, if I stumble across them, I can't turn it off and have to watch to the end. My four: Raiders of the Lost Ark The Departed Big Trouble in Little China Blues Brothers
yup I've posted maybe once on this board in many many years of lurking, but this hits home - as NavArchs who spent many hours in West Hall, my friends and I always thought we knew the best kept secret in AA with regards to In-and-Out pizza...was truly really fantastic.
no one at work appreciates it figured this blog would be the only place that found it amusing
true story Juice Williams is currently the QB of my alumni flag football team. He married a UM grad so he counts as alumni. He invited the team to his house to watch the game tomorrow. Super nice guy, and he makes everyone in the league look like a small child. Cool story bro, I know.
