Hilarious Vanity Plate I Spotted in Cincinnati
Somebody in the Thomas Wilcher thread mentioned that 7LMel would be a good vanity plate. Reminded me that I wanted to post this pic of a vanity plate I saw in the parking lot of a Chipotle in Cincinnati. Waited for the guy to come out and we had a fun conversation. Legendary because of the use of the O logo plate that you see everywhere down here.
Amazing, but I fear for this driver's safety on those mean Ohio streets.
My thoughts exactly. And on a pretty new blue Tesla. I wouldn't have the courage.
Secondary to Elon's activities, Teslas are culturally complicated these days. On one hand they're electric, so definitely associated with filthy hippies. On the other hand, Musk. Ford F150s are similar.
'Filthy hippies' are the furthest things from Tesla owners that I can think of. Seriously, aside from Steve Jobs, what hippie can afford a Tesla?
I might need to elaborate more in future comments on Teslas. :)
Trust me, 1VaBlue1. I have several Facebook friends from my (rural, Upper Midwest) high school years who are aging motorheads on the red end of the political spectrum. They might find some of the technology interesting, but every one of them classifies electric cars as "woke." As I implied earlier, they've come around a little bit on Teslas recently because of Musk's clashes with the blue team.
You misspelled "long haired freaky people."
Yeah, because they need not apply!
If only they'd read the signs.

They're everywhere, after all
Was it MGrowOld? He lives down there doesn’t he?
In Cincinnati he should be ok, I wear Michigan stuff there at times and never get a word. I've had more comments wearing my OU Bobcats stuff
Cincinnati is definitely the least "we-hate-Michigan" city in Ohio. All those Bearcats fans see U-M as their friend!
What about Cleveland? I've heard there are a good number of Michigan fans li ing there.
Holy Toledo!
Shouldn’t that be Hxly Txledx?
I work in Cincinnati downtown, Clifton.. I would disagree. Well up till the 2018 season it was filled with Michigan hate but that died off a ton after 2018 tbh. I used to get a ton of comments till then. Now all I get is, stares for M gear and the occasional banter.
Do Bobcats and Bearcats not get along?
That's weird to me because Cinci's longest rival (and one of the longest in cfb) is between Miami of Ohio not OU.
My dad is a bearcat alum and he's never said anything about the bobcats
Wearing Michigan gear gets me 10x as many questions about whether or not I went to Moeller than it does Michigan hate. Cincinnati/Southwest Ohio is a weird place, but it's definitely one of the least bad parts of Ohio. (I'm also partial to Toledo and the Hocking Hills.)
It's less Southwest Ohio and more occupied Northern Kentucky
Cincinnati isn’t exactly the belly of the beast that Columbus, Cleveland, or Dayton are.
I work at an osu hospital now, locum, not signed on, and I was discussing OSU fans with an employee and he thinks they're great, well mannered and completely reasonable.
Did you have them checked out afterwards for any conditions?

Nothing wrong with Oklahoma state.

They are too ignorant to figure it out. Only see the "O". He is virtually risk free.

Don't think anyone in Ohio is capable at running it against Michigan fortunately
This is awesome!!! A brave person, indeed, who doesn't mind a bit of vandalism in service of a greater cause.
Dude has major onions. That's just begging to get keyed in that state. Also, that is extremely well done!
I think the hatred is a bit overplayed to be honest. I've lived in columbus metro for 40+ years. M bumper stickers, license plate brackets, 4'×6' M flag flying out front every autumn. Never have had a car damaged or house vandalized. nearly all of those years parking on osu campus many days a week. even lived on campus a few of those years and nothing happened. maybe the ohio plates got me a pass...dont know.
My first day in Columbus my entire car got keyed,I guessed because of my license plate holder. I've had people say I couldn't do their anesthesia because I used to wear a Michigan scrub hat. I've stopped telling people I went to Michigan unless they say they did first.
Sorry, that stinks to hear. I have never had anything threatening said to me wearing M attire, or anything stolen or damaged. My kids, when they were little, always looked for a maize shirt in a crowd because they knew it was probably me. It actually worked out really well at amusement parks, malls, and the like.

Lol. My anesthesiologist was a Buckeye. I hold him I trusted him more than a SPARTY. He took great care of me!
The fact that this is an Ohio plate gives me a semi
At the end of the day, if you're going to go for it, go for it:
That's a good one - I saw this one multiple times when I lived in Cincinnati. Never met the owner, however.
That's awesome. But they need to get a more intimidating vehicle if they're gonna own that plate.
Maybe he is like Clark Kent. Cthulhu lives anonymously as an environmentally-conscious, Obama-supporting parent of 2 with a house right outside the 275 loop in a middle-of-the-road American city.
But honk at Cthulhu because he didn't use his turn signal before cutting in front of you? All bets are off!
Love the joke, but I'd rather not drive a car with a block O on it, even if it gets a laugh.
A woman coworker friend of mine owned a farm years ago and had a vanity plate: MSAGRO.
In those days the Secretary of State license clerks were not considering what plates would look like in the mirror.
This one needs to happen:
Allegedly*
That's Ohtucky territory.
Those mensas scratch their head and think it was just some baked dood trying to get a message of it being Um....420 24/7
I saw one in Illinois that read "KYGIRL" and she must mean Kentucky, right?
Watch out for that one, she's slippery.
I think I know her. She is very anal...retentive.
All-time best license plate I ever saw, on a Porsche driven by a cute blond: WASHIS
Jonathan Swift approves this message.

+1 for that. The Michigan difference.
