If expressing my opinion albeit an unpopular one makes me a jerk than I'm all for it. It's not the first time nor will it be the last time that I will be called a jerk. Hell sometimes It gives me motivation to go to work to protect your right to do so.
What's your source on a dec 28 timeline. I can't find anything to substantiate it. I haven't seen nor heard of any official timeline, at least one made to the public.
Looks like Dombrowski is closing the Championship window. Can't say I'm thrilled with any off season moves so far. It scares me what could happen next. Yeah I might be overreacting but I don't see theses moves getting the Tigers any closer to a WS. I hope they prove me wrong.
I think if the Tigers are not going to sign Scherzer I would of liked them to extend Porcello. Now they have 3 so-so #5 starters going out for two spots; Green, Simon and Lobstein (per MLB Network talking heads). What if Verlander continues to slide? What if Simon gets rapes or murders someone? I dont like him, he lied about his age by almost 2 years and has had legal troubles ever since. Also JD Mart or Davis will be the odd man out in the OF unless they platoon it, not a good for some consistency.
Yeah I'm a downer today, probably because of finals and all the other negative sports attention at Michigan. April is a long way off so I have time to change my tune about this.
This has nothing to do with Michigan. This is a military tradition, to ensure the welfare of those you are charged with leading.
I never encountered a time when food was scarce enough to worry about not having enough to go around. I think this is more of a tradition, although there were a few times when by time I had a chance to eat, something would cut my meal short or out all together.
Harbaugh's statement had nothing to do with Michigan and everything to do with his current players.
Rapoport has been in the business for a while and considered a good reporter. Yet he says something that you don't want to hear this board is quick to discredit him.
If true, I'd think it would be a good hire. It's funny some of the things that people on here don't like about him is the same things they like about Harbaugh.

I'd take him over Harbaugh. He's already established in recruiting, a better college résumé and it would piss Sparty off more than any hire other than one of their own current coaches.
Im sure the people at ESPN are pretty smart, they probably could of found a way to accommodate everyone. As we all know ESPN is about making money, this was just another payday of clustered scheduling.
Why so negative about Hackett? He hasn't been in the seat long enough for it to be warm yet. I've seen a lot of posts saying it don't matter who the AD is as long as Harbaugh is hired. Probably even settle for a ham sandwich to do the job as long as Harbaugh comes.
This is just a rumor anyways, no sources were cited. But it is logical if they have no one lined up with the football season coming to a close. If they need to hire a coach that coach would want to know who they are working for. Waiting another month or two to hire an AD could spell disaster in a coaching search.
Also there are approximately another 800 or so student athletes in the department. For them their program is just as important to them as Michigan football is for you.
I guess I don't think it's fair for people to say he can't do the job when he's only been here a month. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that none of you know what his true potential is. Some are just quick to judgement because it's not what you want.
I want what's best for all parties involved and to see a good product on the field, court, course, gym and etc. We all want that and that's one of the reasons we are here. I apologize if anyone thinks I'm attacking their opinions, you are all entitled to one just as much as me. Agree or disagree thank you for reading mine.
Insane game to watch, the boys can learn a lot from this one. This loss won't be so bad as long as they can learn from it and continue to grow as a team.
Why does this blog make me feel like the world will end if Michigan does not get a Harbaugh. I don't believe that the seach begins with Jim and ends with John, although either would be a good choice. Reading the various CC threads I have come to a few conclusions:
Some posters should be put on suicide watch if Jim or John Harbaugh is not hired.
You can put the cart before the horse.
If the next coach goes 10-2 and is not named Harbaugh people will still complain that Harbaugh would of gone 11-1 or 12-0.
Yeah I'm being sarcastic but if neging me makes you feel better fire away. Anyways I just finished watching the MBB game and I'm so glad that its basketball season, lots to look forward to.
I'm tired and done with the speculating. I need a break. Too many names being thrown around here. I'm sure that fun for some of you but it's exhausting me. Plus every thread ends up with Bates/Harbaugh anyways. I'm for Harbaugh but Michigan can do better then Bates or Manuel, unless the board all of a sudden does not want to spend money.
That's my opinion and I have enjoyed reading yours, all that I care about is getting the department back on track.
This is beginning to be an unnecessary side show. Everyone gets it, we don't like him. Firing him now makes no difference, anyone they want to hire probably won't be available until after football season. No good AD would leave the school he is at in the middle of football season. Football season is revenue season, a good AD won't leave you hanging.
I've had deleted emails recovered at work before. It's not hard I'm told, mine were recovered probably close to 30 minutes after I submitted the ticket.
