Ran into a guy in Slovenia with a 'Michigan 2013 College Basketball National Champions' t-shirt. It hurt a lot at first but I think it's hilarious looking back at it. He had no idea what the shirt meant, just thought it looked cool.
Hector vs Achilles in Troy. I actually think that movie as a whole is quite underrated. The lead up to the fight is great also with Achilles' monologue.
Sort of random, but the scene towards the end of 'The Theory of Everything' where a girl drops her pencil in the auditorium during Stephen Hawking's presentation and he imagines for a minute that he stands up and walks over to pick up the pencil for her. Then it flips back to reality and he's still sitting there in the chair.
I didn't even particularly like the movie that much but damn that scene hit home!
You are correct but when I said championship appearance, I meant finals championship (Stanley Cup finals in this case). Probably should have clarified.
Not to say Minneapolis is a 'bad' sports town in terms of fan support, but I would say it's the most sports depressed town now that Cleveland finally won.
Haven't even had a CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCE in 25 years. Plus the Vikings have been known to choke in spectacular fashion. Twolves had one good year ever, Wild never made it to the Western Conference Finals (lost their former hockey team to Dallas, which in itself is sad), lost the Lakers to LA, Twins were good 25 years ago, etc.
But the Lynx are a straight up dynasty so there's that.
as a minnesota sports fan, i feel cleveland's pain and feel somewhat happy for them. if however, lebron were to leave in free agency and start another 50+ year championship drought in cleveland, i'd be perfectly fine with that as well.
I just want one close game good lord. It's tough enough being a timberwolves fan, all I had to look forward to was competitive playoff basketball then this happens.Thanks a lot Cleveland.
i feel like a lot of these win projections are very underinflated. when was the last time a non-fickell coached ohio state went 8-4 or worse? granted they're losing a lot of talent but still, i don't see them falling off that much with urban at the helm.
