No should be the last three…

No should be the last three games as opposed to the soft non-conference schedule they have next year. Wait, no, on second thought, we want Day on the sidelines against us!

Torchlakeblue, if you are…

Torchlakeblue, if you are having any side effects from statins try another statin.  Rosuvastatin is generally well tolerated although about 5% of people have muscle soreness with statins. Also look into Ezetimibe which you can take in addition to a statin which is what I do and it allows you to take a lower dose of statins. The combination has worked very well for me and my LDLS dropped from 190 to 56.

(PS love Torch Lake!)

We are never ever leaving…

We are never ever leaving the Big Ten over this. Big Ten Academic Alliance universities engage in $10 billion in funded research each year. We aren't going to jeopardize that.

If we really have…

If we really have information about the nine other schools we have to release it because right now the narrative is Michigan's season is tainted even if we win the natty and our success the last two years was due to cheating. If the majority of the rest of the conference was doing something similar we need that out in the open.

I'll add Illinois vs MAC…

I'll add Illinois vs MAC favorite Toledo. Can Bielema keep Illinois in the West hunt this year?

I think Purdue takes a major…

I think Purdue takes a major step back this year. They lost so much and have a new coaching staff.

Agreed. Robinson is visiting…

Agreed. Robinson is visiting Illinois today so something is odd with that recruitment.

I was one of those alumns…

I was one of those alumns who jumped on the field after the OSU win in 2021 and ended up randomly high fiving Trevor who screamed YESSS! Never forget it. One of the best memories I have is jumping around on the field after that game!

I prefer jtOSU (just the…

I prefer jtOSU (just the Ohio State University).

No way to the AZ schools…

No way to the AZ schools. Why not Washington and Cal? I know Cal isn't great at football but it's a great school and would be a great academic addition to the Big 10.

Been to the shoe for the…

Been to the shoe for the last 4 Michigan games. Wore Maize and blue each time. The first time we went was the worst when outside the stadium heading in a bunch of students/fans were in our face swearing at us and being really obnoxious and it was me my wife and 17 year old daughter. So it wasn't me and a bunch of guys. That was unpleasant and a bit scary because i was afraid someone might hit us. But inside the fans were fine and we were surrounded by Buckeyes. Since then no real problems even though were always sat amidst Buckeyes. A few rude comments but that's to be expected. Also, some very nice fans who were asking if everyone was nice to us because they said they hated the way some of their fans treated people. But I'm not going this year, not because of 42-27, but just that I have PTSD from going to the games there and losing! Can't handle that again. The worst was being stuck in the stands after we lost in double OT and we couldn't get out for awhile. That sucked.  But next year could be a bit dicey after last year's win in my view.

My crim law professor as…

My crim law professor as well. What a great professor and fun class. He was smart, funny and made everyone really think about how the criminal justice system actually works and how it could be improved. He was one of a kind. MLS 1989

Gator Bowl could have replaced Texas A&M w/a 5-7 team based on APR, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. Rutgers had 1st option, but declined. Other not expected to accept. “How many 5-7 teams have been practicing or are still in school? None,” source said

And we lost to Minnesota who…

And we lost to Minnesota which is worse than Rutgers.

If the situation was…

If the situation was reversed we'd be complaining too. Should have just made them co-champs. Not that big of a deal especially in this year.

A lot of talking on here…

A lot of talking on here considering we got our butts kicked by them this year. If we win tomorrow they have no argument. If we lose they have a good argument to be co-champs.

IU is Indiana. Illinois is U of I. Carry on.

I'll be at the game in…

I'll be at the game in Columbus being both nervous about the game and the OSU fans who as we all know can be really bad at times. 4 years ago they were awful to me and my family but two years ago they were fine. This will be my 6th straight Michigan-OSU game and I can't take another loss to these guys. We need to finally win one of these.

Annoying Fan... I have no objection to a real grizzlie eating that annoying girl screaming every time Montana has the ball.
Darkwa or McKinnon? Darkwa or McKinnon?
PSU has replaced OSU as my

PSU has replaced OSU as my most hated rival. PSU is a digusting cesspool and I really hate the fact how fast it has recovered from the horrible acts its football program and that hypocrite JoePa allowed to happen for decades. I'm just sick of losing to OSU but love the rivalry.

Illini

Illinois finally hired a competant AD, Josh Whitman, a year ago. Very impressive guy. He has done a great job in turning things around there. Amateur hour is over down in CU.

As far as hockey goes, I think it would be great to add Illinois as a Big 10 hockey team. the State of Illinois is a pretty good hockey state and produces a fair amount of talent. Most of the kids from the Chicago area are Blackhawks/hockey fans so I would think there would be some interest.

Lovie Not sure yet. Last years class was pretty good considering he wasn't even hired until March. This year has been pretty slow. But obviously a lot easier to be competitive in the Big 10 West.
Illinois It's obvious. Lovie! He's a good guy, maybe a bit boring but a guy I can see parents wanting their sons to play for. As both a Illinois (undergrad) and Michigan (law) fan I'm always like hey leave the poor Illini alone. Just focus on the hated Buckeyes. My football Saturdays are usually a combination of awesome (Michigan) and oh shit (Illinois)!
Greenstein

Greenstein is the freaking worst. An embarrassing cheerleader for his alma mater Northwestern to the point he might as well be writing for the school paper. No idea why he has a job. He hates Harbaugh (and Illinois too although I know no one here cares about that!) and is blatently biased.

But no matter how Teddy and the Big10 try to spint it the gist of the story is that all of the obvious and borderline calls ALL went in OSU's favor.  So save your excuses.

CU is a fun place to go to college In response to all of the comments about CU, as someone who went to both Illinois (undergrad) and Michigan (law school) although no doubt Ann Arbor is a better town but seriously there is a reason Illinois is usually ranked one of the top party schools in the country because you can get into the bars at age 19. 19! Listen I love Michigan and Ann Arbor but being an undergrad at Illinois was a blast.
Illinois

As both an Illinois (undergrad) and Michigan (law school) fan who obsessively follows both programs (so yeah I usually have very mixed Saturday experiences, one generally pretty fun, one generally miserable) I can weigh in on this. Keep in mind Lovie and his staff didn't come on board until March so they were way behind everyone else in recruiting. Lately it's been picking up and I think they will move up in the recruiting rankings. I think Lovie is going to recruit pretty well. He's a good guy.

One thing to keep in mind as a Michigan fan (because I know you don't care about Illinois recruiting) is that Sparty has been recruiting really well in the Chicago area over the last few years, which disgusts me. MSU and Illinois are competing for a Chicago area DE right now and supposedly the guy is leaning to Illinois. It would be great for both Michigan and Illinois if Lovie can start getting the kids that have been going green lately.

Lovie Smith Not sure it's going to happen but if Illinois got him, that would be great for the Big 10. Big time hire who would turn that program around. Absolutely no reason for Illinois to be as mediocre as its been since the early 1990's. The West could use some upgrade in talent all the way around.
Greenstein is the Worst

I live in Chicago and read the Tribune. Teddy Greenstein (aka Teddy Purplestein) is a complete Northwestern fan boy. Virtually all of his articles fawn over Fitz and everything NU. It's embarrassing how bad he is. Not surprising he's going after Harbaugh now after we put a beat down on his beloved Kitties last fall. (He hates all things Illinois as well but that is irrelevent for this board.) He's infuriating but the Tribune has always been run by a bunch of NU grads and they allow his cheerleading.
