None of the Detroit automakers make money on sedans, and every year more people buy crossovers instead of sedans. The auto market is cyclical, and as this next downturn begins, Ford needs to make sure they're competitive for years to come. I like this and also what they're doing with Lincoln.
Best aspect was the emphasis on players' families.
Was cool to see how Harbaugh relates to the players, like when he visited the walk-on moving into his old room, or when he mentioned to Tarik in the hospital how he broke his arm during college.
Got the impression Harbaugh didn't prepare the team well enough emotionally for the MSU game. Acted too much like it was just another game.
Lots of mixed feelings about the QB situation. I hope the young QBs handle the pressure better and the coaches put them in a better position to succeed.
Love the defense's attitude that they're going to win and "don't fucking need any help" from the offense.
Metellus walking into the glass door was hillarious.
It'd help Izzo a lot if he'd show some fucking leadership up there. I bet he acted like the same coward when these rapes were being swept under the rug.
The only thing bigger than Izzo and Dantonio at MSU is MSU itself. Unfortunately, MSU is making national news right now for sexual assault cover-ups. Nassar scandal has been prominent in the NYT for a while now. Several very prominent MSU figures have resigned already.
MSU's reputation, students' safety, funding, existence, etc. is on the line. They need to show everyone convincingly that they're doing the right thing. Izzo and Dantonio are the most powerful people at the school, and they facilitated this sick culture. If the two coaches stick around, MSU has not convincingly shown us anything.
MSU the university is far more than MSU the sports programs. Izzo and Dantonio probably need to resign in order to save MSU the university. The alternative risks too much.
I just texted my parents about it. They're both MSU alums, and they're going to the game. They had no idea about the reporting and said "thanks, we'll check it out later."
I imagine there'll be quite a few awkward moments at the game. Probably a minority of people will boo Izzo or something and everyone else will be like "WTF" and beat them up. Idk
I hardly know shit about football, but to me, the staff is making things too complicated for the kids on offense. Like maybe the playbook is bloated with too many cute schemes that are unnecessary for the college level. Basicalluy too much overthinking, not enough balling.
The offensive staff should give their paychecks to the defensive staff until it's sorted out.
Lots of teams would be thrilled to have O'Korn, and they'd get a lot more out of him. I'm not saying O'Korn is great, but the coaches need to be putting their kids in a better position to succeed.
Another thing is that the receivers are a huge downgrade from last year. Either they're not getting open or they're not making the play when they have the opportunity.
But I'll be considering the Volt and Bolt over Tesla's Model 3.
Tesla is 90% marketing hype as far as I'm concerned. They're going to have lots of quality issues, and there's a reasonable chance they go out of business by the time I finish owning my next car. Autopilot is a marketing gimmick, not to mention an extra $5-10k. And the car's minimalism is code for cheap/lacking features.
It's so cheap they don't even give you a key fob. No thanks.
It’s caveman times, and we’re traveling to our caves. The caves are to the north, and the way we get there is we look for mossy trees. Since moss grows on the north side of trees, we generally get back to the caves.
Sometimes, though, moss grows on the east side of trees. We sometimes follow one of these misleading trees and get lost.
Then one day some genius comes along and he invents the compass. Since everything is a competition for this dude, he doesn’t tell everyone he has a compass. The observant people start to notice, though, that the guy never gets lost. When they see him diverge from the group, they don’t question it because they understand he knows what he’s doing.
The unobservant people—they are another story. They get upset. "Hey! Look at that guy. WTF, doesn’t he know it's a proven fact that the mossy side of trees is correlated with north and therefore he should follow the moss?!!”
They live & often die by the 3 and play with drastically varying amounts of intensity from game to game.
Regardless, that was fun to watch tonight. I loved the juxtaposition of Izzo yelling at everyone in sight with the fathead of Izzo in the crowd yelling at everyone in sight.
With all the attention on Michigan's top 5 class, I hope we can all pause for a second to appreciate VT's position in this screenshot:
Michigan has a game scheduled with the Hokies in 2020, so clearly the only important takeaway from this is that Michigan will be competing against a decent group of athletes in that game years from now. By then, 3-9 of this year's recruits will probably be in the NFL, but I still thought this research I uncovered was important to notify everyone about.

ngl, Purdue’s fake flea flicker was actually pretty cool
OSU has done nothing to deserve a rematch, but this Michigan team is destined to beat them and CJ Stroud knows it. Would love to see it again
Hoping to play TCU, but hoping to play Ohio State even more! Let’s go!!
Their preview of UM-PSU was also a bad take. They predicted a close low scoring game. Who cares? Not worth a post imo.
Regarding the nuclear physics, MSU has a new particle accelerator coming online soon which is a big deal for those researchers

11 seeds are tougher to beat than 15 seeds
Hope he cries!
These commentators suck. Always emphasize the negative and sound super bored.
Refs taking 15 minutes to run those 8 seconds off was also extremely dumb.
That's all I have to say. Go blue!

Count me as someone who supports Mo's decision, whatever way he decides.
O'Korn is underwhelming. But so are the play calls, linemen, receivers, RBs, and TEs.
Lots of teams
Have to agree.

the lowest amount of running yards for 2015 OSU, and then more running yards for the 3 other games you mention? Sounds about right.
OP thinks we need to run 100 yards to win the game. My opinion is that we'll run 100 yards by winning the game.
Teams run the ball more when winning, pass more when losing

has been taken.
Edelman/Oliver Martin thread still up for grabs, yall.
To get the best perspective on this data, please add our other main rival Rutgers.
