Grant Newsome’s career was ended by a Wiscy DB helmet, now Corum although not as severe. Also, in the Miami (YTM) vs OSU championship game, a helmet to Miami star RB Willis McGahee’s knee by OSU DB knocked him out of the game and required surgery. Miami likely wins that game otherwise. No bogus DPI call needed.

Is it me? How many steps did that kid take on their last 3 to tie. 3? More? Is traveling even called anymore? Was there a rules change. Any violation I can see clearly on the screen must be an obvious call. Anyway,glad she missed.

I don’t know how these guys miss the face mask on the Bengals TD or jumping offside when these are obvious to the naked eye at home. Still not sure about the PF on Kupp in the end zone that nullified holding on the Rams. Was it a head shot? And I still can’t believe hardly anything has been said or written about the last play. Looks to me that Perine had a shot at a catch with a dive. Anybody else think that? Even Donald was quoted as saying he thought the RB was going to catch that ball.
I have no idea of course but my hunch is Bo the person never came close to Bo the legend. Just another hard ass sports coach who won . And I am a huge sports fan. But never idolized any of the icons. Bear Bryant, Bo, Joepa, Coach K, Bobby Knight, Vince Lombardi. Sad commentary on our obsession with sports, especially college sports.
Completely agree. Elevating successful coaches to hero status always pissed me off. Yes, including Bo, Woody, Saban, Coach K, etc. Had great players and were good at their jobs. They are very fortunate our society worships them for their won-loss records.

I lived in Riverdale (Bronx, NY) as a kid. Saw Hill play against the Horace Mann school. Men against boys doesn’t begin to describe his dominance. Hill went to Riverdale Country Day school, elite area prep school. Kids from HM were afraid to even try to tackle him.

Would he go fly there without knowing an offer was almost a sure thing? Now, it’s back to playing on an uneven field (ie. Texas A /M , etc), dealing with Ohio State, recruiting, UM administration, etc.
And another 3 loss season possibly and a rematch in Columbus against a bent on revenge away from more criticism.

I hate OSU too but that was a hard but clean hit. Bad call. And terrible job by analyst Collinsworth at the end of game.
